There have been countless threads on this topic. There are many instances in the bible where God has place women in positions of authority. There has been endless debate and discussion on this for years and I have yet to see any member that was persuaded to change their perspective one way or another.

You are correct, but the way you put it just stirs a hornet's nest. Why not explain to us why in matters of GRACE, we are all equal, but in matters of GOVERNMENT there is an order.

Judging by your pseudonym I can understand your sentiments. But wouldn't your suggestion take away the right to debate? I too have an Head over me and I too must submit. Jesus too (1st Cor.11:3).

uh huh

only the One you call YOUR head, isn't going to come down and tell you to shut up

how convenient

there is an ongoing thread on this topic. over and over and they are almost always started by men

as I said in the other thread, it takes a certain type of male personality who likes to seemingly take advantage of scripture to silence women while the scripture is actually in disagreement with them

He will eventually have to come up for air. The waters are murky in the pool that he dived into. Sharks.

You don't have to submit to Jesus as you have a choice in that matter. Even if you did submit He would not Lord it over you.

What is the point of this thread?
Married women have these things already worked out with their husbands, and if they're Christians, they read their Bibles, do their best to follow teachings in the Bible, and go to church. It's not like they're going to listen to a total stranger telling them what to do and what relationship to have.

Ahhh, should've guessed. Men starting these are ALWAYS unmarried and trying to lord over OTHER men's wives. Because the Bible says to command wives of other men......... not!
Every time, man.

Please find a place in Scripture where it is recorded that God said this.........

and not the Apostle Paul...........

See, Paul had two distinct writing styles............ "Thus sayeth the Lord," which was commandments from God, and not to be argued or debated.............AND..........."I would rather that, it would be better that....." When he wrote in this style.....he was ONLY giving his best advice to the Church on how to behave so as to have the least amount of problems................

AS WELL............the Scriptures you posted..............ARE NEVER TAUGHT IN ANY CHURCH THAT I HAVE EVER HEARD OF.....they ONLY want to teach women can't be Pastors............hmm

You can run and hide all you want...........but God sees you and...........

Yeah, probably going to turn into a typical women bashing thread. I did noticed what you have mentioned in that these threads are usually started by men who are not married.

FYI to consider.........

Sometimes the Apostle Paul's advice was a wee bit off target, as with this example

1 Corinthians, Chapter 11:14) Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him? 15) But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.

Well, I've seen some pictures of Lions, and I'm pretty sure that in NATURE the male has the long hair and the female the short hair. So...........hmm

Now, this next verse surely reveals that at least SOME of his teachings were ONLY FOR certain Curches/Congregations...............

16) But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.

When people read the Epistles of the Apostle Paul is is NECESSARY to do so with FULL understanding, elsewise, folks are gonna have all sorts of stuff added to their teachings/their Churches/Denominations teachings that ARE NOT Biblical...............

Samson the Nazirite of God comes to mind. How were his locks a shame? God literally wanted him to have long locks.
So apostle Paul must've been making another point here, like you say there must be full understanding and not just go ballistic.

Based on my own personal marital experience I have found this to be true.
