another thing is, if you read the OT, people from other nations saw the Isrealites, heard the miracles and were curious about how they lived that they WANTED to know the God they served. Word got round.

if you are a christian, and shinging your light others will be curious and want to know how you have faith, so what does it matter if they are spying on you?

The very foundation of communism's historical take overs, is/has been based upon class difference

I don't believe the word (Notice) was used but is your personal opinion and interjection.

Truth7t7:
It appears you lean towards the communist model, as you show concern in class difference.

communism and capitalism are just two halves of the same coin IMHO.

nothing to do with what we are really here for, Gods glory. Besides, as He is watching us, and already knows everything about us, why should we care if some govt is spying on us? Isnt our God bigger than any govt?
That is a stunning statement. Utterly stunning.

Do you believe in (Abortion), a woman's choice?

Do you believe Homosexuality is an acceptable lifestyle?

Do you believe practicing homosexuals should be allowed positions in the church?

Do you believe climate change is a world concern?
Well I don't know you at all really as far as answering a slew of questions that don't have anything to do with government spying/social scoring. I presume (this being a site for believers) that we are not enemies. If you have something against me for pointing out what I saw as a leap feel free to private message me, if you don't have that feature then post on my profile.

You can read my posts to get an idea on what I believe on those issues (barring climate change as I don't have the relevant data to even speak to that issue and may not ever). My views aren't for pressured asking although scripture is pretty clear on 2 & 3 for sure (with #1 being very vaguely asked), so I'm not sure what you are really angling at.

I wasn't going to respond at all because you seem to want to jump at me for disagreeing with you in labeling. However, and I say this sincerely, dissention within the body is not what I'm after. It is possible that you would like to clear the air and potentially my iron could indeed be sharpened by yours and vice versa. If not, it's a good topic to consider, but since it's live in China "publically" certain conclusions can be made in the U.S "privately".

I didn't ask what the Bible states about homosexuality, I asked (Your) belief?

I Openly oppose all the items below, it appears you support them, as you run from a direct answer.

1.) Do you believe in (Abortion), a woman's choice?

2.) Do you believe Homosexuality is an acceptable lifestyle?

3.) Do you believe practicing homosexuals should be allowed positions in the church?

4.) Do you believe climate change is a world concern?

Truth,
open up, and see how you are 'defending' yourself against some very wise comments -
it's really not necessary, for others were giving their take'...
The questions below are asked to know a person's beliefs concerning world topics, simple, "I openly oppose all four items below"

(What Do You Believe)?

1.) Do you believe in (Abortion), a woman's choice?

2.) Do you believe Homosexuality is an acceptable lifestyle?

3.) Do you believe practicing homosexuals should be allowed positions in the church?

4.) Do you believe climate change is a world concern?

Absolute nonsense. Because I don't want to answer someone that is basically assuming something about me I am somehow required to answer? That's absurd.

I am only required to give an answer to anyone who asks for the HOPE that I have. Not where I stand on political talking points (which is what those are for a lot of people). They are willing to talk about and have an opinion but where are they in legislation? Where are they in the legal field? Where are they in general? Oh they have an opinion, oh they cast one vote that takes 4 hours out of their day once a year...certainly they seem to care.

I'll just leave you alone guy. I've already discussed these issues in my posts. This is what's wrong with politics. You assume because I don't want to answer you that I am automatically something you detest because that's the easiest assumption? Do you really think it unreasonable to not answer someone who obviously (at this point) has no interest in being civil or respectful? Would you really ask these types of questions from a waitress or a cashier that you had passing conversation with and then accuse them when they don't answer? I attempted to make amends, you have rejected that? If so, there isn't much else I can do at this time. Spend some time in prayer about it if you feel led. Judge your heart...I am judging mine. I make mistakes and the Lord corrects those whom he loves.

Your non response will be considered that you believe in and accept the four items below.

You know, I really do want to just respond with what I believe. You'll find you are being incendiary for no reason at all. The way you are coming across is like an agitator and I'm not going to put anything out there to be trampled on. Even if I said everything in line with what you believe (and one step further probably in a lot of ways) still what guarantees do I have that will get me anywhere? None. It seems pointless to continue discussing this with you. I SO want to "prove you wrong" and declare succinctly all these things, but I have already discussed them when I am not under attack.

What is the purpose of your checklist? If I answer all 4 questions correctly will you retract your "intractability" and apologize? No? To what end then? For all I know I could share my heart on this and you would just consider me to be lying and that I don't really believe what I state...I have no reason to assume you are fair minded at this point.

No need for my apology, I asked direct questions as seen below, and you have refused to answer them

Your non response has and will be considered that you believe in and accept the four items below, (That's My Opinion)

Revealing your belief could change my opinion, I don't know who you are, that's why the direct questions have been asked?

So if I don't care to respond to something off topic you feel it's reasonable to assume erroneously without any information based off mere supposition? That doesn't seem efficient or truth seeking (My opinion).

Change my opinion, answer the questions?

We have probably disagreed about this before but no communism and capitalism are not two halves of the same coin. One works and one doesn't. True communism fails. As to why even places like China still have a capitalist system with almost no free market. Marxism starts with socialism and needs a dictator to lead and implement the socialist agenda in the country and around the world until theoretically the utopia of socialism hits commun-ism. The capital system has been destroyed and fully controlled by the community. Then the dictator steps down while the people police themselves.

Despite that you should care if you love your neighbor. If your neighbor gets pregnant but due to government law to counter global warming, your neighbor can only have 2 kids. Well government spying sees she is pregnant with her 3rd child. So it is reported, then family planning shows up at her house with the local police. They in her home, hold her down, and do an abortion right then and there.

Great thoughts @Roughsoul1991 I honestly hadn't ever really thought seriously about communism because of the persecution of the church in China and elsewhere.

Do you believe it is possible for this system to be recreated in a closed community in the U.S? If Christ is indeed for communal living, could there be a responsible application of this system?

My issue is none of the world systems we see today (with mayyyybe an exception here or there) are in alignment by choice with the will of the Lord.

However, in the U.S and even with the way international laws work, it is possible to legally exist nearly autonomously. Consider how the Quakers were allowed to be pacifists in the 1700s (apparently)...are there groups that the government leaves alone? It would still be necessary to operate within the law but the law has a good deal of wiggle room if one is committed. Consider Native American autonomy. It appears to be similar to a young teenager being subject to a parent's autonomy in a way but still it exist with a different legal code as does the military but that's a different topic ;)

There are plenty of people against totalitarian measures concerning global warming. I rest easy on that myself. Usually there is some good sense in anything that would violate liberties (masks, driving laws, littering, emissions, etc.) but these positives are used unscrupulously to legislate. Sort of like an angel of light telling the truth with omissions and a cast(slant) to the proffered "truth". Quite possibly entirely useless in the larger picture.

So I find that understanding the reasons for legislation now is more important than whether you agree or disagree with it...at some point, knowing another's position that is opposed to yours in a civil manner is quite useful if they are sincere. It can niggle a bit though and some people shouldn't be listened to at all probably.

Anyway...ty for something on topic.

Sad but true, I met a man from China, in the 80's he stated his wife was pregnant with I believe a 2nd child, the government found out through neighbors, they were told if they didn't abort, they would lose their apartment and jobs for starters, the guy was in tears explaining it, I didn't ask the outcome as it was apparent what happened?

China A totalitarian society, these leftist commies in the US don't have a clue sitting in their American comfort, you don't see them moving to China, Cuba, or Venezuela do ya?

The Communist system was tried before the world in Seattle, it was called (CHOP) it didn't work.

Communism is a failure, Russia, Cuba, China are examples, and they all persecute the Church.

It has everything to do with knowing who the poster is and (Very Common) questions regarding world views.

I oppose all four questions seen below, nothing to hide.

1.) Do you believe in (Abortion), a woman's choice?

2.) Do you believe Homosexuality is an acceptable lifestyle?

3.) Do you believe practicing homosexuals should be allowed positions in the church?

4.) Do you believe climate change is a world concern?
