So if I am not willing to be executed I am not saved?

So Much for faith if a mustard seed
Ah but if you had the faith of a mustard seed you would give your neck to the chopping block before you would deny your Lord Jesus Christ. Loving not your life unto the death. Knowing that you have a greater inheritance in heaven. THIS is the Faith of a mustard seed, willing to be planted in weakness that it may be raised in Greatness!

But Romans 4:5 says otherwise, you understand what "worketh not" means right?
Where does it say the apostles fled from Christ after believing the resurrection?

"Worketh not" is for the unbeliever to obtain salvation.

"Worketh" is for the believer to remain saved unto the end.

I think Jesus is literally saying hey you want to follow me , do you seriously want to ? I'm going to die on a cross , come follow me . When people use this verse and say we can't be a disciple unless we pick up our cross . No one who heard this picked up their cross , they all fled and walked away . This is not a requirement for today.
It sure is. Before we pick up our cross, we must deny ourselves, our ability to understand his doctrine with our own entelect, instead of relying upon the revelation of the Holy Spirit.

Every day you must have the whole hearted commitment to die to yourself and surrender to His will, and if need be die before you deny His name under persecution of the unbelievers if it comes to that. And it did for all of the apostles. True Christianity has not changed.

If we examine ourselves and realize we might bow the knee to an image if requested under threat of death today, then we should rush to the prayer closet and not come out until we know that we are ready to die for Christ today if required. This is Christianity 101 and anything less is false doctrine that Jesus rebuked in Rev chapters 2 and 3 to the letters to the 7 churches. Read them afresh and notice the praise for those willing to die before they would deny His name. We are still called to such a faith and less than that is apostasy.. Remember Lots Wife.

Your last sentence came from which scripture? My guess is either the 4 gospels or Hebrews to Revelations?

This doctrine can be found in Romans, Colossians, & 1 Timothy as well. All scripture harmonizes indeed.

Romans 11:20-21
Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Do not be highminded, but fear: For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also does not spare you.

Colossians 1:21-23
And you ...has he reconciled ...If you continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away.

1 Timothy 4:16
Take heed unto yourself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this you shall both save yourself, and them that hear you.

But if you believe Paul meant, in those passages, that salvation depends on believers doing works, then you don't think it contradicts what he was saying in Romans 4:5 and Galatians 3:3?

Galatians 3
O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?

2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

So you think Paul is saying we are saved by faith alone without works, but then we are to stay saved thru our works?

So Paul don't really meant it when he called the Galatians foolish for doing that?

Romans 4:5 is speaking in regards to the unbeliever, not the believer. The believer, once justified from his past conduct, must now walk worthy of that justification by the Spirit.

Galatians 3:3 is speaking in regards to returning to the ceremonial practices of the law (particularly physical circumcision).

No contradiction.

You know how little a mustard seed is, Peter was so scared he denied Christ thee times, I am sure he had more faith than a mustard seed

Oh, so you believed that Paul was only taking about ceremonial Law in Galatians 3.

Alright then.

Yes, alright.

Read it:

Galatians 5:2-3
Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.

You do realized that, whenever Paul talks about the Law in his epistles, he always means the ENTIRE law, including the 10 commandments?

Romans 7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

So I shut you down on two of your rebuttal verses and now you move on to another argument?

The Galatians wanted to move away from the effective way of keeping the whole law, which is this:

Romans 13:8
Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loves another hath fulfilled the law.

And this love comes by being born again:

1 John 4:7
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loves is born of God, and knows God.

No, I am saying you, by interpreting Galatians 3 to only meant ceremonial law, is incorrect.

But then again, in our minds, we are always the protagonist, so we will naturally think that we are the ones with the correct thinking, and the other person, by definition the antagonist, is wrong, so I just left it as "alright then".

You have not shut me down, don't flatter yourself. I felt there was little point in me telling you "you are wrong" ;)

No, when he denied he was not haing faith, but he got it later and tradition says he was crucified upside down by his own request because he said he was not worthy to be crucified the same way his Lord was.

You have already made up your mind regardless of what the Bible says.
