when you take a snapshot of the population at any given time under the first strategy, you have a higher population than you do under the second strategy, because in scenario one a proportion of the population are children who will die early. the argument is that by reducing infant mortality you can effect a reduction of birthrate. it's made under the presumption that people will be less likely to populate beyond the means of their resources if it's more likely that their children will survive to use those resources, than they will to overpopulate beyond the means of the same resources when they do not expect most of their children to survive long enough to use those resources.

I am not saying I agree with the idea that the worlds population needs to be controlled. I believe people are the worlds greatest assets and there is no real danger of not having enough food, or space or harming it by too many people. You never know what one person will invent or help develop that will solve the problems that people are afraid of.

My main point was that Bill Gates was not saying we should kill people with vaccines. That the video and other like it were purposely leaving out his theory on keeping more children alive and making it sound like he wants to kill people with vaccines and they know that they are twisting it that is why they leave his full explanation out of their videos and clips.
