Many are called and few are chosen . Who's Jesus speaking to ? you in 2020 ? and then we have Judas ?
You don't think God is still calling people today to serve Him and participate in the wedding feast of the Lamb?

Pretty sure I read here somewhere that you have a few small children. Bit of advice, head back to the prayer closet and the good book to worry about you and yours, less posting countless argumentative threads on the doctrines of grace, especially when you admit a lack of knowledge on the subject.Well I'm wondering when your going to discuss something that supports your worldview of the DOG ?
Do you mean called as in a ' inward ' effectual ,irresistible call ? or when we hear the Gospel ?You don't think God is still calling people today to serve Him and participate in the wedding feast of the Lamb?
I mean both. Some hear (those who have "ears to hear"), and some have ears, but hear not ("and having ears, hear ye not?").Do you mean called as in a ' inward ' effectual ,irresistible call ? or when we hear the Gospel ?
This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day John 6:39No man can come unless the father draws them through the law as it is written. It in the phrase as it is written represents the source of the faith of God (Christian faith) that does work in us to both will and do his good pleasure.
Some perish without it other perish through it. It is the one standard by which we can know we have eternal life.
The heavens plural declare his glory to a believer through His word. But the heavens also reveal the wrath a dying corrupted creation.
Gazing at the stars without any knowledge of the law of God has no value. No preaching of the word God's law no salvation.
There is no gospel in the stars we walk by the unseen faith generated by the law of God.
That does not mean if a person views a rainbow that God cannot give them faith .The faith comes through the law that informs us of the rainbow . Using the things seen the temporal to teach us of the unseen things of faith.
Romans 2:12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
If you took the time to go through my posts you would see ad nauseum the same verses being used out of context, over and over and over and over . You answer the first one ,then the next ( I think there is only about five ) you answer all five then they forget the first answer and we have to start over " many are called, few are chosen " " no one can come to me unless the Father draws ... he who has ears ...chosen before the foundation... round and round and round....I mean both. Some hear (those who have "ears to hear"), and some have ears, but hear not ("and having ears, hear ye not?").
I hope that you find peace and stop opening thread after thread about the same subject. I'm hoping to see your contributions on other subjects in the future and not just thrashing the same old ad nauseam.
Not sure what else to say.
Not one verse about an ' inward call ' / effectual call but here we are talking about it ? No verse about regeneration precedes faith and here we are still suffering the ridiculous notion of it .I mean both. Some hear (those who have "ears to hear"), and some have ears, but hear not ("and having ears, hear ye not?").

Is there a scripture to go with this? That wording is strange to me.called as in a ' inward ' effectual ,irresistible call
This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day John 6:39
No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day. John 6:44
Then if only those predestined to come to Christ do so and no one whom he calls will be cast out, John 6:37, what about, John 6:66? “From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.”
No but Calvinism still teaches it reguardless. Is there a scripture to go with this? That wording is strange to me.
I was under the impression that you were teaching it.No but Calvinism still teaches it anyways.
Wow! how ?I was under the impression that you were teaching it.
Gotta keep in mind the scripture:
Matthew 22:14 “For many are called, but few are chosen.”
How can someone be a student of a master if they don't believe in what the master is teaching?Disciples are students of the teacher. Not believers. Not predestined. They walked away faithless
How can someone be a student of a master if they don't believe in what the master is teaching?
I think it would be hard to comprehend the meaning of a single verse out of context, don't you?Did Jesus teach to be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect?
Or did Jesus say be ye therefore perfect as your Father which is in heaven is perfect?
So when does a person know when they are perfect, then did the master not tell if they don't know the truth about being perfect?
I think it would be hard to comprehend the meaning of a single verse out of context, don't you?
While in context we may better understand. Or at least have a starting point to do so. God willing.
Mat
“You shall therefore be perfect, as your Father, Who is in Heaven, is perfect.”
