Our dear Lord came to earth so that we would know the love he and his Father have for us.
Jesus said it's easy to love those who love us, but God loves even his enemies.(Lk.6:27-36)

The greatest example of this is how out Creator came here as a man and despite being argued with, lied about, spit on, physically abused and sentenced to die in a terrible way, he cjose not to retaliate against his enemies, but continued loving them.

Paul said someone may give up his life for a good person, but Jesus did so for the worst.
(Rom.5:7-10)

When we've wronged someone we shouldn't have, we go to that person and ask for their forgiveness.

The Biblre tells us we've all wronged God in some way. The very good news that Jesus brought is that God is happy to forgive anyone of us no matter how terrible a thing we did against him is. Of course God expects a true heart of remorse if we want a relationship with him.

God is merciful and easily approached.

I believe first and foremost Jesus came to earth to rescue mankind from their sin through His death and resurrection.
Loving our enemies is only possible when we are born again and we are born again through an operation made without human hands...

Colossians 2:11-13 (KJV) In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

I will let the Apostle Paul explain it in Romans 15:8

Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:

His first coming was for Israel. If the nation Israel would accept him as their promised King, Israel would have enjoyed seeing Jesus sitting on the throne in Jerusalem, bringing the Kingdom of Heaven onto Earth. (Matthew 10:7).

And once that happens, all the Jews will be reaching out to the rest of us gentiles, who would have needed to go to the holy mountain, to be saved (Zechariah 8:23)

But alas Israel rejected him, but thanks be to God, thru that rejection, salvation has now come to all of us gentiles, without the nation Israel. (Romans 11:11)

Today's church know Christ intimately, but often they are really ignorant of the Father. The Father established grace, it was done as soon as sin entered our earth. There was a reason I don't understand that Christ's work was only symbolically used for about 4,000 years, but we need to understand this.

Christ fulfilled all the OT told of Him, and people are learning about Christ through the scripture of the NT that tells of life after Christ. To truly understand all Christ is and does, a thorough understanding of the OT is necessary. It is a picture of our world today that is fulfilled in Christ. The temple shows us today's temple, for we are the temple. The priests show us the work that Christ does for us, as now Christ is our high priest. The sacrificial system is a physical picture of what Christ does for us, only Christ perfected it.

So often today's Christian poo poo's the sacrificial system, saying it is only the killing of animals and animal blood doesn't save. In Isaiah the Lord explains he hated the blood of animals, that system was NOT about feeding blood to the Lord. It was about the symbolic blood of Christ. It was a symbol of giving blood for the forgiveness of sin and if they did not use it in this way it was hated by the Lord. We are not to think of it as killing animals, that is how the idol worshippers did. Christ is to be thought of as God asked the first sacrifices to be thought of, we are to repent of our sins and have them wiped out.

It is through what Christ did for us that the Father forgives. It is then the Father who forgives, grace is of the Father not of Christ. We would have no forgiveness without Christ, it has always been so. But it is not Christ who forgives, but the Father.

I believe the bible teaches that there are 2 phases to Christ's ministry.
1 The lamb of God, the blood was shed by Christ, paid our debt.
2 Jesus is the priest that stands before God on our behalf.

His death enables Christ to be merciful and Just.
Roms 3:24-26

Lev 4, & 16.

Heb 9:24,25

The death of Christ alone is not salvation, the death and the life as our priest is salvation.

Well,
We have all forgiven people who wronged us when they apologized, even before we were saved. But the type of love God has, where he's willing to forgive those who abused his own child if they ask him is stunning.

Yes, that kind of love takes a very special Spirit, which God offers to anyone who loves the love he showed for us,

Jesus said, If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. Jn.14:23

Thank you sweet Jesus, for the Spirit you put in us.

Yes, there will always be people who mock us and try to make us ashamed fir believing in Jesus. We'll just keep shiwing them the love of Jesus by his Spirit in us. Hopefully they'll realize what good things God has for them. :)

Jesus is God in the flesh. He manifested himself to all mankind to show us how loving he is,

for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil Lk,6:35

Kind of like that tv show "Undercover Boss", where the boss is working alonside the employees with a disguise on and they don't know who he is.
The OT sacrifices which are symbolic of Christ were for causing a soft heart.

I believe what appeased (propitiated) the Father's wrath is how his Son remained kind, loving, forgiving, through unimaginable hatred. For sinners to believe what Jesus did is what or brings us into a right relationship (reconciles) with God.

Amen! The gospel is the "good news" of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) and is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that BELIEVES.. (Romans 1:16) To "believe" the gospel is to trust in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ as the ALL-sufficient means of our salvation.

It seems if we know Jesus, Yeshua, we know the Father. This is said by Him, and foretold in Isaiah 9:6

Amen! When Jesus walked on earth, he was still God,

For I am the LORD, Ichange not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. Mal.3:6

For an unforgiven person (unforgiven by God) to forgive another is like a beggar to give another beggar $10,000...he just doesn't have it within his resources. I believe this is the essence of ...

And when He had said this, He breathed on them and *said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit. "If you forgive the sins of any, their sins have been forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they have been retained." John 20:22-23 (NASB)
