9 Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men[a] 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

Is This verses oppose salvation by faith alone?
These verse is also by Paul that say salvation by faith not by work.

Adulterer not go to heaven, is that mean stop adultery bring you to heaven?

Than salvation by work

How you go to heaven? Stop adultery?

No you can't do It yourself

Go to heaven is by faith and faith in Jesus Will help you stop adultery.

I want to go to heaven that is why I stop adultery. Wrong

I want to go to heaven than I invite Jesus to my hearth and He Will teach and help you to life a Holy life.

The focus is faith not work

I am adulterer is that mean I am not save?

Base oN those verses I am not.

No body perfect is that mean every body not save?

Most everything that is bad will send you to hell if you haven't repented before you die.

The person who has not put his or her faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ is destined for destruction (aka 'hell').

As the quoted verse says, that is what some of you were.

In other words, we were saved from that kind of behaviour or lifestyle. Continuing such behaviour is inconsistent with a claim to Christian faith. Not doing such things won't get you saved, and doing such things won't get you unsaved, but they will diminish your effectiveness and joy, and probably cause some unpleasant and/or unwanted consequences.

Faith in Christ and Him Crucified from their head is what they believe at this moment. But their heart is far from Christ and Him Crucified. Rev.3:1

We were save from that behavior

But If we still do, we are save but not efrctive Christian.

Seem to me that verse say If we do adultery etc, we not only not effective Christian but the verse say we not inherit the kingdom of God or not save

The adultery you commit is deserving of death. It goes against one of the direct commandments of God. You need to keep all of them or you will be separated from God forever.

So since you have already sinned you must die, but Christ never did sin, He took your punishment for you even though He deserved no such thing. He is the one that died in your place so that you may inherit the kingdom of God now that you are without sin thanks to Christ.

All you need to do now is follow Jesus. He saved you from hell so is it not right that you devote your life to Him? Read the gospels, study the life of Christ and follow His every word.

So If I commit adultery do I go to heaven because Christ die for my sin, or not?

Jesus above all taught love. He died on the cross to save our sins, yes, but we all still sin. The commandments were brought about in the first testament of the Bible... they are general teachings for us to live by. If you read them they should be common sense to anyone.. adultery is less than murder in the common sense realm. Should you lay with anyone but your spouse of course of not, does it happen, yes people are human.. can you still get into heaven yes. The key to getting into heaven is being genuine. Even as an adulterer you can still be a genuinely good human being. Y’all need to start looking at life a little differently...

The key to getting into heaven is being genuine.
Hello BAS12, our salvation depends upon how "genuine" we are

If that's true, how do we know how "genuine" we have to be?

Also, how many times can we fail to be genuine and/or genuine enough to make it into Heaven, better than 50/50 (assuming that God grades us on a curve)?

Finally, what standard did God use to decide whether or not we are genuine/genuine enough?

Even as an adulterer you can still be a genuinely good human being.
Wait, so is it a "genuine" person or a "good" person who is Heavenbound, or do you mean that we have to be both

Thanks!

~Deut
p.s. - perhaps the more important question is this, if our being "genuine" and/or "good" is what it takes for us to make it into Heaven, then why did God tell Israel to sacrifice millions (billions?) of animals during the millennia leading up to Jesus coming here as a man, and further, why do you believe that God sent Him (His Son, Jesus Christ) here to die that horrible death on the Cross  Thanks again :)

Is that mean save or not?
Spiritual Adultrey is proclaiming Christ while forsaking the Cross. See Rom. 7:1-4
Anything and everything that is not Faith in Christ Jesus and the Cross is Spiritual Adultrey. If it is Christ alone it is Spiritual Adultrey! Rev. 3:1

Hello again @BAS12, as I thought more about it, the only questions that truly matter are these (if our salvation is based upon how genuine and/or how good of a person we are).

1. Why the Incarnation
2. Why the Cross

IOW, why did God think it was necessary to send His Son, the Lord Jesus, down here as a man, especially when He knew that He end up dying as a completely innocent man on the Cross?

Thanks :)

Do you believe 1 cor 6 9-11 talking about spiritual adultery, spiritual murder, spiritual envy and spiritual drunk?

Do you believe 1 cor 6 9-11 talking about spiritual adultery, spiritual murder, spiritual envy and spiritual drunk?
It is referring to practice sinning vs. acts of sin. All things become practice sinning when the Believer Faith is not in the Cross. Grace is not abounding for those who forsake the Cross. Christ has become of no benefit to them.

So you believe 1 cor 6:9-11 is practice sin because spiritual adultery, and If person not commit spiritual adultery It Will not practice sin?
