Sitting next to a little crackling fire, having a cup of slightly sweetened coffee, thinking about the little things I am so thankful for.

I say little as though they really are not that special. Oh that couldn't be further from the truth. The warmth, the tingly sensation they bring are so delightful.

No no no Charli… you are giving credit in the wrong direction.

He is 100% responsible for all good things.

We know the fruits of the spirit He brings, for example, are not dependent on circumstance but on seeking His magnificent grace which He bestows so bountifully. He tells us to be thankful at all times, to praise Him and rejoice always, to hone in on what's right and lovely, what is true and praiseworthy. He tells us to love, to be merciful, and to hope and to never stop praying. He gives us empowerment to carry out His will in the midst of storms or in the middle of ordinary.

God is not just about emotions and walking in appreciation, nor is He only interested in our denying the battles against the darkness life brings.

This world is full of not so lovely times and circumstance. Grief and heartache, hatred and corruption, concern, poverty and physical hardship are alive and making many unwell. All of us know or will know deep suffering, probably in many ways. Some days are so hard. I can only imagine what some have to go through, day in and day out. Oh Lord, be with them. Hold them...please.

Yet, in spite of and maybe because of, the sweet surrender to His bright and beautiful goodness, we have reprieve, we have a taste of what His Glory offers.

My loves, today and every day...may we all feast upon His offerings and bless Him with all our praise in all that we say, think, feel and do!!! Let's kindle His flame together!!!

Love you all and God Bless!!

It's often the little things that are the most profound. Being appreciative for such things is a very special kind of wisdom and it shows a truly humble heart. And yes there are many hard times and suffering as you well know with me but it is also through suffering that we tend to grow and learn the most.
