Amen @Truth7t7 !

Here's another chapter for you to prove that it will be. Remember this for future debates on the matter...

Isaiah 56:1-8

It's far too long until our next sabbath already. But I'm looking forward to it so much. It's the best part of the week.

Love & Shalom

Entering into the Lords Rest, is to enter the Eternal Kingdom, Zion, New Jerusalem

Psalm 132:13-14KJV
13 For the Lord hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation.
14 This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it.

Revelation 22:1-3KJV
1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
Brother, you posted that the Sabbath Rest appears nowhere in Hebrews 3 and 4. This is my answer. Have you no comment on your claim, whether it was true, or false, or if you had ever heard of it before? Have you no need to consider this profound subject. If God made the first Sabbath holy because He rested, don't you think that it is worth a discussion? After all, you started it.

Once again, Heb 3-4 is speaking about entering into the (Eternal Kingdom) of Gods rest, not the Sabbath on earth.

Entering into the Lords Rest, is to enter the Eternal Kingdom, Zion, New Jerusalem

The gospel of salvation is preached, faith in Jesus Christ to enter his rest.

We ran around the bush twice, the horse is dead, we will disagree :)

Hebrews 4:1-2KJV
1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

Psalm 132:13-14KJV
13 For the Lord hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation.

In heaven there will be no day or night. The glory of God will illuminate all of His Kingdom. The Sabbath of the Law in the Old Testament requires day and night to take place because that is how it is measured.

As well, there will be NO NEED for the Sabbath of the Law because we will be HOME WITH HIM.

Sometimes I wonder if people are placing their worship of traditions before their worship of God.

5 And he said unto them, That the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

John 14:15KJV
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

1 John 2:2-3KJV
3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

1 John 5:2-3KJV
2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

Ok let's back up here a minute. Part of keeping commandments is first understanding them. I say I am a Sabbath keeper. I don't go to church on Saturday, but there is nothing withing the idea of Sabbath rest that says to. It says you shall rest from your work. So what does it mean to rest from your work? Sleep all day? I look to Jesus for the answer. When Jesus did things that made the pharisees snarl about Sabbath keeping. What Jesus was doing, once his disciples were picking heads of grain to eat as they travelled on the road. What was Jesus answer. I made the Sabbath for men not men for the Sabbath. When he healed folks on the Sabbath, he said which one of you would not pull your ass out of a hole on the Sabbath. Again pointing to a big failing of the pharisees to understand what the Sabbath is. So what is this Sabbath? It's resting, it's doing good, it taking care of required needs, yet resting. Because we are set free from the works of the law and we have our rest in Christ Jesus. Of we cast our care; aka burdens upon Jesus we rest in him and thus keep the Sabbath. So I say I am a Sabbath keeper, not that I go to church and take a nap on Saturday, but rather that I rest in the Lord Jesus.

Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

Mmmmm.... Has it?

Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

Seems pretty simple.

Acts 15:10 Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?

Romans 8:2 is speaking of the law of sin and death. That is the 10 commandments. (2 Corinthians 3:7, Romans 7:7)

Acts 15:5 is talking about the 10 commandments. Who would say that circumcision is a yoke that we AND OUR FATHERS couldn't handle? My dad would just say stop being a wuss. And I would say the same to my son.

But I would have to agree that carnal people can't keep a spiritual law. Neither our fathers nor our sons could handle that yoke.

I think it is funny when legalists try to separate the Law into categories and say some are done away and some are not. Its wrong, of course. But it is also contradicting the Lord Jesus Christ.

But the 10 commandments are still alive and well. Because a person is only free of them in Christ. If you're not in Christ then you're not free of them. And vice versa.

Galatians 3:24-25
24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

Truth7t7... I suppose this is your opportunity. I'm hoping you surprise me.

There is the Lawof Commandments, and the Law of Ordinances, circumcision was an Ordinance as seen below, food was another, washing cups, etc (Ordinances) when Jesus railed against the pharisees over the (Ordinances)

Mark upheld the 10 Commandments,and railed against the Ordinances below

Mark 7:8-14KJV
8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.
9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.
10 For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death:
11 But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free.
12 And ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother;
13 Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.

Circumcision was an ordinance, blotted out, not the 10 Commandments

Colossians 2:11-14KJV
11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

Colossians 2:20-22KJV
20 Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,
21 (Touch not; taste not; handle not;
22 Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?
