Sometimes I make pasta sauce with red/kidney beans instead of beef.
Marinara/tomato basil sauce with red beans, onion, lots of garlic, and either green pepper or zucchini with italian seasoning and a few other spices.

However, while I have been going through this round of post-op chemo treatments, my church fam has been providing some meals for me; one was a fairly large try of very beefy lasagna, and another, four servings of rotini in a very beefy tomato sauce with cheese, and I must admit, I very much enjoyed the meat sauces! For a time many years ago, I could not eat beef at all... I would say, it did not agree with me I then subsequently discovered that digesting beef was greatly aided if it was mixed with other meats, such as in a meatloaf with pork and lamb, or one of those mixed meats hero subs, and eventually I was able to eat beef all on its own again
