I have three different websites that show the current weather in my area. Sometimes when I'm bored I like to check them out and see how they all line up. They're never the same lol.

You drink fast, Ruby!
Yes but only when it is cool enough to do so. I eat donuts fast too

 I was attacked this weekend!!!!!!!!!

By my basement stairs!
Slowly walking down, holding onto the handrail when suddenly BAM!

My feet went out from beneath me and my left hip hit the side of the step, while my right elbow and fist slammed into another, and my bum bounced off the next step and then was like "WEEEEEEEE!!!!!" sliding down the last 3 or 4 steps (that part might have been fun if I wasn't stunned and sore)........

point being :
How come when we are carefully walking down stairs this happens?
BUT when I run up and down NOTHING!!!!!???

slow and carefull= unsafe
careless and crazy= safe
it dosen't make sense.

Maybe because when we try to be too careful we overthink it and end up getting in our own way. Glad you weren't injured.

Did I mention I was wearing socks?
I'm not a sock fan except when my feet are super cold (they mess with my circulation and cause swollen ankles, and circulatory socks are not much better on me)......
so I think the socks had something to do with it.
We're thinking of somehow texturing the stairs since they're bare wood with some crappy old paint, and since the stairs have attacked all of us at least once (same step or the one just before and/or after)
So that's one of my new projects/research.....
texturing (or making safe by other means) the stairs. (While making it look nice)

I was thinking about this because it was a perplexing problem to me, and I found these that you can put on your stairs. Sorry about the huge picture. It's the only pic they had.

The day finally came...and it was today. We closed on our new Tennessee home. It doesn't have the two bathrooms Tourist asked for. It doesn't have my big screened in porch like I wanted. It doesn't have my fantastic mountain view or creek or acreage that I wanted and it isn't in Gatlinburg as I found out there were no homes we could afford there.

What it does have is a brand new home that has been redone with a new roof, brand new appliances never used, except for the water and diet coke I saw in the fridge when we viewed the home for the first time a week ago and redone floors, new paint. An almost total remodel with exception of the heat/air unit which is older but working. We don't have to do anything to it as it is move in ready.

We will buy a shed and a washer and dryer eventually and we tossed an old mattress set before leaving Florida so we need a new one of those too. But I am so happy to be moving into our small little town and as I drive to places I get to see beautiful mountain views a few minutes away so I'm in love with this little town and so happy we are out of Florida.

It is nice to wear long sleeve clothes again. I haven't quite given up my flip flop foot wear yet and I'm sure I get strange looks at the local Walmart but then again maybe not. I am hoping that it snows for Christmas day that would make Christmas for me this year as I love snow.

We are waiting on our furniture that we had to place in storage with the movers and it will come Monday after Christmas and we will move into our home on Tuesday. Yay and Thank You God that there is light at the end of the tunnel.. It's nice to have an address again.

Thank all of you who have prayed for us during this move I do really appreciate it and I wish you all A Very Merry Christmas.
