1 Cor 15:3-4

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures

If Christ died for our sins, for He didn't die for everyone's sins, but if we're blessed to be of those He did die for, namely His Sheep or Church, then one thing is for certain, our sins cannot and will not be charged to us.

Rom 4:8

Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. 1

John 3:16
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Christ died for the sins of the world, past, present, and future. So all who are of the world had either 1 of 3 ways to seek salvation. They had the Old Testament and sacrificial way in the preparation of the Messiah to come. Faith in the future of Jesus. We have the New Testament which is faith in Jesus who came and will return. Then for those without the written law or knowing of Christ, they have the moral law as described in Romans 2.

The blood of Christ covered all the sins of the world. It is by grace that God die this and through faith or whoever will believe. The gift is for all but God knows who will accept it. The invitation for all, but God knows who will be at the wedding banquet.

They will if they weren't forgiven. This is why we should repent often.

2Co_5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Mat_4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

They were forgiven by the blood of Christ upon Him dying for them. Matt 26:28

28 for this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Thats why they cannot be imputed. Rom 4:7-8

7 saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. 8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

No, they won't be imputed if we repent and the sin is forgiven.

1Jn_1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

It would be unwise to refuse to repent of sins and assume they will just disappear on their own.

This is the negative inference fallacy. Paul says in Galations that :
20I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself FOR ME .

Does this mean Jesus only died for Paul ?

No Jesus Died for the whole world . Calvinisn and even Some Arminians are confused about what saves .

Jesus only died for those that his Father gave him, and he said that he would not lose any, but raise them up at the last day.

Jesus was a sacrifice to pay for the sins of those that his Father gave him. His sacrifice was an offering to God, for God's acceptance, and not to mankind, for mankind's acceptance.

Yes, that world that God loves is restricted to whosoever believes. The world of believers. directed to post #2.

You didnt deal wth or acknowledge anything posted to make my point.
you didn't deal with or acknowledge any of the long, detailed posts i put the effort into writing to you about 1 John 2:2 in another thread.
and then you made a new thread repeating the same statements as tho no one had ever spoken to you about them.

please at least do us the kindness of dealing with them. it's one thing to have a justifiable understanding of a passage in scripture that differs from someone else's -- but it's something else entirely to just ignore valid criticism & questions as tho they don't exist. that doesn't really count as 'discussion' or 'fellowship'

we ought to be instant, both in & out of season

How do Calvinists know they're one of the ones Jesus died for?
Because Christ has drawn them. They abide in Christ and produce fruit.

They've been spiritually born again in Christ.

i'm not sure i can think of any passage in all of scripture that says "the world" and means by it, "believers"

tho i can think of several which contradict that. John 17:16 for example. and 1 John 2:2, which clearly makes a distinction between 'those that believe' ((re. 1 John 5:13 which explicitly defines who the 'we' / 'our' is in 1 John 2:2)) and 'the world'

hmm

i'm gonna want justification on that

i think you should deal with 1 John 2:2 before you keep going around making this statement.
John 3:18

How can this be if all sins have been atoned?

Romans 8:1-2 Describes the people that the atonement is applied to.

All you have to do is reconcile these scriptures together and you see what "the whole world" really means 1 John 2:2. It doesn't mean that everyone is in Christ. The "sins of the whole world" must mean sins of believers in Christ, past, present and future.

Whosoever will means whosoever will.
