Today was a strange day for me. Right now I am feeling sad, ugly and afraid. This has nothing to do with the Harold Camping prediction that tomorrow is supposed to be the rapture, because I don't believe that for a second, but today was really strange. This teenage girl almost hit my car because I opened my door as she came flying into the parking spot next to me. I was a bit upset but I didn't say anything and she came out of her car and said to me in a loud voice "You got a problem?!" I just kept walking towards the store where we were at. Then I heard her call me a "stupid mongoloid" behind my back while we were waiting in line to order some food. I know it shouldn't have bothered me but it did since I am already conscious about my weight problem. I just kept pretended I didn't hear her, got my food and left.

Then at home a bird smashed into the kitchen window. I've lived here over twenty years and that only happened once before, and this time it was during the DAY and the kitchen lights were not even on! Then I got word that my uncle in canada only has a few days to live and was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer just a few days ago and my mom might need me to fly out there with her but I don't have a current passport. Its been a very strange day. The strangest day I've had for as long as I can remember. Maybe something weird is going on in the spiritual realm because I really felt attacked today.

Anyone else have a strange day today? Please share your story if you can.

That's so awful what that girl did!! Yesterday this older woman said something really nasty to me and she didn't even know me I was thinking man I must have been standing in the wrong place at the wrong time. *hugs*

Thanks a lot. That is strange what happened to u too. I think maybe evil has been on the rise these past few days. Maybe the rapture IS tomorrow. "hugs" to you too!

dislike the police, always have, may till the end of my life

had to go to the local courthouse and was nervous and distracted and hit the car in the parking space next to me, police officer took my license, no real trouble, but they are always asses. They have never done much good for me, I don't see how they do much good for anyone on this earth, but their own families and wives by making an income.

but I left a note on the man's car, and he hasn't called, telling me the damage, so maybe I'll be okay, because I have no money, and what little I did have, others like to steal.

a blessing someone else was actually kind to me today

because the only reason i ran into that car is because i am hurting bad in so many ways

All right, Zero... reading your story brings out my non-Christian side very quickly. Racism and racist comments are one of the fastest ways to push my inner heathen to the max. I can't stand discrimination or put-downs towards myself or, most especially, those I love, and I have friends of many different backgrounds and races (I have white friends who are accused of being racists all the time--never mind that they are in mixed relationships and have mixed children--and this bothers me to no end as well.)

My ex-husband was half Filipino and he once worked with an older man who made comments such as, "Go home, you Jap," and when he told me about it, my attitude was, "All right, we are going to find this $*#*!% guy's car... and I'm going to slash his tires..." My then-husband wasn't even a Christian and he would always be like, "Kim, just let it go, it's not even worth it," (which was one of the things that attracted me to him--he could calm me down and, in my mind, was a much better person than I was.)

(For the record, I have never gone through with destroying, harming, or vandalizing someone's property, but I have thought it in my mind at times.)

I've become more bold, probably for the worst, as I've gotten older--when I was younger and people made comments like that to me, I just kept quiet out of shock. If the situation today would have involved me facing that teenage girl and not you, I probably would have gotten in a fist fight in the parking lot (for the record, I've only been in one fist fight in my life--with a boyfriend who threw me to the floor but didn't hit me.)

All I can say is, you're a much better person than I am, and much further along the path of mind renewal according to Christ, as well as forgiveness--all hats off to you!!! And, I'm very sorry to hear about your uncle. :(

So sorry you had a bad day. :(

You know, I was talking with some christians last night and, even though the "prophesy" about today is going to make a lot more people mock us, it also made a lot of people stop and think. I know of at least two people to came to Christ because of it and another was seeking yesterday. You can see how that might tick satan off and make him wanna take it out on God's children.

Hugs to you, zero. So sorry some ignorant people hurt you like that.

Go watch some planes take off. That'll make it all better :) right??

REDMama, I'm sorry your personal contacts with law enforcement have been so unpleasant; but, since prejudice is one of the things addressed in this thread, I am compelled to point out that not all of us are like that and I hope you won't judge us all by the ones you know. There are a lot of good officers. Even a lot of christian officers. But...we're kinda like lawyers, no one really appreciates you until they need you. :)

I CAN be a little fiesty sometimes, but hopefully I'm not alway an...ummm...oh well...nevermind. :)

I'm sorry you're hurting so deeply. I'm gonna go pray for you. :) Have an amazing day in Jesus.

I ended up in the ER. That classifies as a pretty rough day. :(

(the last time I had seen a doctor was when my last child was born almost 7 years ago.) I just NEVER get sick. All around pretty healthy.

Back to the orriginal post though, Gabe, sorry this happened to you. Sometimes the only thing I can learn from hurtful people is that they are hurtful to others because they are hurting so much themselves.

Someone may have looks, money, prestige, (or what others perceive a perceive, etc...) BUT, if they do not have kindness, and Jesus....they truly have nothing.

What that girl said about you is just...mean. There is never an excuse for mean.

Thank you all so much for your replies. I did read them yesterday but wasn't in the spirit to post a good reply just then. What happened somehow got me thinking about a lot of areas in my life where I always seem to be failing and wondering if it will ever change.

For those of you who also had bad days: Grace,Thimsremba, REDmama, and Forlorn I am sorry that you guys went through something bad too. Maybe Julianna has a point about how the significance of the day may have made the evil one angrier than usual.

REDmama, bless you for leaving a note on that man's car. That shows what a truly good person you are. I used to dislike cops too because I got caught by their sneaky radar guns a couple times even though I was going a normal speed for the road i was on. Then last year l my mom got into a bad accident and the cops helped her out of the vehicle (she wasn't hurt, just shooken up) and carefully helped her up a steep embankment. They were very nice to her and they made sure we knew what hospital they were taking her to (to make sure she was ok). Like Julianna said too, there are both good cops and bad cops out there so maybe you just need to come across a good one. I see you are in a lot of pain right now. I will be praying for you. Hang in there. Jesus is with you.

Grace, I really hope you and your kids are ok? Will be praying for you and them.

Amber, gosh that looks painful! What happened??? I sure hope you are ok.

Kim, I feel the same way about prejudice. When I was growing up I was the only asian-looking kid in my whole school. I was a magnet for bullies and have been called all sorts of racial names and have been punched, pushed and made fun of all the way to high school. That hasn't happened to me since I got out of high school so I was REALLY surprised to hear it yesterday, and I knew right then something strange must be happening. I can't take a lot of credit for keeping my mouth shut because frankly, I was too stunned to think straight and I know that talking back often makes matters worse. As I was leaving I remembered the scripture that says "It is to a man's glory to overlook an offense." (Proverbs 19:11). I also remembered the thing that got me through some tough tests of patience - God Is My Witness. God saw exactly what happened with perfect clarity and he understands what it feels like to be mocked so I wasn't really alone in my little trial.

Vinifera, thanks so much and the interesting thing is that just yestrday I was thinking to myself that God should warn us all that we will have to do a lot of forgiving in this life given the bold ungodly nature of a lot of people in the world right now.

Julianna, that is awesome that 2 people got saved and one is seeking. I guess having a nutty false prophet isn't all that bad hehe. Thanks so much for your prayers and kind words. I actually did go and watch the planes yesterday because your suggestion sounded too good to pass up!

BrittanyJones, once again I'm so sorry u had to go through that. I hope that you feel better now. I don't know why there seems to be a lot of impolite, insensitive people these days. Even in the news I hear about things that are just beyond belief like the lady who drove herself and her kids into a lake, killing herself and all except one child who managed to escape. That happened on the same day and she had just come from a family get together.

As for my uncle in Canada, he says he is ready and he loves the Lord. My aunt and his family are not quite ready though. It all came down so suddenly. He only went to the hospital because he was feeling ill and it turns out he only has days, maybe weeks to live. Please pray for them if you could. Thanks.
