losing ground to what's coming to be known as a "cancel culture" wherein
opposing voices are suppressed in broadcast media, print media, digital
media, and social media rather than given liberty to be heard, thus insuring
that the public is influenced by only one side of the coin.

I believe every point of view, and every opinion, should be heard and each
of us decide for his/her own self what's true and what's not, rather than
leave it up to truth police and special interests to decide for us like they do
in North Korea.

Agreed.

"Cancel culture" is also a politically correct way to avoid saying what it is. It's called fascism, but that is a loaded term that undermines their position. The left will say anything, including inventing new words, to distance themselves from the truth.

Stop using their language and let's call a spade a spade.

Voltaire I could disagree on his lack of theology but I do like many of his writings on government.

Paine in the same way as he became more secular-minded in his older age but his beliefs on the government were quite revolutionary as he wrote "Common Sense".

John Locke really was a great thinker in theology, law, and government. In his book"Two Treaties of Government" the Bible is referenced 1500 times and his work largely influenced Thomas Jefferson who helped draft the Declaration of Independence.

James Madison the father of our Constitution not only a Christian but penned these words in a letter "It is the duty of Congress, then, to permit the Christian religion to remain in the same state in which it was, at the time when the Constitution was adopted. They have no commission to destroy or injure the religion of the country. Their laws ought to be consistent with its principles and usages. They may not rightfully enact any measure or sanction any practice calculated to diminish its moral influence, or to impair the respect in which it is held among the people."

Plato not only contributed to the philosophy of western thought including theology. His thoughts we're mentioned by Justin Martyr to help people understand from an apologetic approach. His beliefs about government written in The Republic gave us the inner thoughts and workings of a Republic type of government.

Engels helped Marx with his thoughts but Lenin was really the leader behind Marxism.

Karl Marx failed his whole life and blamed the rich or the manufacturers. He was a horrible husband, horrible father, tried multiple times to get worker unions to revolt, and finished his book without any success in his life. It was after death when people like Lenin read the book and added to it. He the means, the brains, and the power to start a revolt. It was successful even though his reign did not last very long before Joseph Stalin who was more bronze than brains. He was ruthless and Lenin had left him the perfect environment for his evil sociopathic tendencies

Their theological, socio-economical, and political theories are old but still very active today. Whereas those above are old but unfortunately be suppressed.

Truth matters but how do we promote truth in a country where freedom of speech and religion are held as a God-given right?

Our founding fathers understood the Biblical heart of man leans towards wickedness.

This is why John Adams reviewed Montesquieu, the Roman Republic, and even the Bible on Moses's example of separating power.

Even a state theocracy could fall into corruption as seen with the Roman Catholic Church or Church of Britain.

So even a theocratic nation could lose the truth.

They felt the debate was good for the people and it should be protected to promote truth. The truth would stomp out the lie, ignorance, or even evil ideas.

The problem becomes when the majority of the people become wicked-minded.

Scripture teaches us that the wicked-minded will have the thinking backward of God's design. You will see good become evil, and evil become good.

So at this point, if you argue God's truth, it may very well look evil or even ignorant to the wicked-minded.

So truth begins to be censored, made illegal, or suppressed. They see it as bad when really it is good for them.

So even in this state of culture, the right to debate and hear others is even more important because once the truth speaker is completely silenced, then that nation is about to go down a very very dark road.

The good news is that truth will never be silenced. People die for it, people meet secretly for it, or people flee to study it.

Who set up the world governments and leaders?

Titus is something to believers and how they should operate together.

If God would have set up a theocracy then this could have been pushed but God did not.

I believe God set up a country like America on the Judeo-Christian foundation to bring people from all around the world to come to Jesus. Guess how the African American churches began? Out of slavery. As these people came to faith, many went back to their home countries to speak of Jesus. The largest faith movement of all places is in Iran.

Christianity that they were back in Paul's time. In our day, it's missionaries like the
Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses that are going about the business of subverting
whole households. If your church offers special classes for defending your beliefs against
