You have not shown me where in the word that tithing is not for today Nor have you shown from the word of God that it is not contextual to given.

There are, however, many passages where Christians are taught how to give.
Again, because "tithing" is of the Mosaic Law, and Christians are not under the Mosaic Law, there should be no need for particular instruction, any more than there need be specific instruction not to stone adulterers, attend the Temple thrice a year, bring grain offerings, have your mouldy house inspected, or get the priest to tell you that your eczema has settled down and you can come to worship again.
Why would God waste all that space telling us that specific ordinances of the Law are no longer in effect? Why is His word insufficient when it says Christians aren't under the Law?

God owns everything, all our time is His all the Money is His. The principles in the old testament are good principles for our church today. God gave the principles to run the sanctuary well and we should follow these God given principles today. 10% from the members to help run and maintain a churches needs, works well and also giving offerings to help the needs of the other ministries. People have wrongly used God and asked for money to line their own pockets but don't think all churches are like this.

Many churches today teach that Christians are commanded to give a minimum of 10% of our income to our church. Others teach that preachers of these churches are turning the 10% tithe in the Old Testament into a monetary, legalistic prescription for Christians in the New Testament. I even once heard a Pastor make a challenge to his congregation to give 10% of their income for 90 days and if God does not bless them then he will give them their money back.
In 2 Corinthians 9:5-7 we read: Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brethren to go to you ahead of time, and prepare your generous gift beforehand, which you had previously promised, that it may be ready as a matter of generosity and not as a grudging obligation. But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.
I don't see a "specific percentage" given anywhere for Christians to give in the New Testament, but I certainly believe in giving and not just to our church. I also believe that everything we own belongs to God.

why are you separating the old and new testament like they are different Gods, like one is valid and the other is not, and like everything in the old testament no longer applies.
True Jesus did end the ceremonial laws and the Gospel was given, but does this mean what ever the old testament teaches is no longer valid after the cross. If that's the case you should throw out the old testament and only read the new.

Mat 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
