This is only the tip of the ice berg . This I've used to demonstrate the root of the problem There's a whole host of verses that the church thinks is for them . Usually its replacement theology, but many denominations do not rightly divide. " Yes when Jesus said that ,what he REALLY meant was .." I know it says Israel BUT ....." Yes Jesus was talking to Jews BUT ...." yes I know Jesus was talking to his diciples BUT ..." yes I know Jesus said that he was not sent but to the lost sheep of Israel BUT ...." Yes I know the newtestement began with Jesus death BUT "I have thought about it. If Jesus can say it then I have definitely no problem with saying it. Of course just saying Father is fine as well![]()

You could do a whole thread on this verse.I am sure that there are some out there who have bad teachings and do not ''rightly divide''. I would say almost definitely some wrongly ''Divide''.
But, in the end truth will always prevail.
---Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6
---Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. John 17:17
---Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8
This verse is about his nature ,being and essence ..That he doesn't change who he is ,his character, nature and his promises. Its not sating anything about his revelation unfolding and what is revealed over time or how God deals with things or how how things change throughout the bible.
That verse doesn't say he doesn't change what he does and change how he deals with people . Animal sacrifices, circumcision ect . Its another verse like 'Judge not 'which gets twisted. That's exactly why I used that verse. Because God never changes, His truth never changes, and truth will always prevail.

Does a gentile need to become a proselyete first, today? But Jesus is the same yesterday ...lol Notice it says Jesus christ IS the same . It doesn't say anything else other than that .I am sure that there are some out there who have bad teachings and do not ''rightly divide''. I would say almost definitely some wrongly ''Divide''.

Then why did you use a verse that simply says HE doesn't change ?I never said it did lol
Then why did you use a verse that simply says HE doesn't change ?
Agreed. HE doesn't change. We change . Like getting old ectBecause God does not change.

So do Jews. When a rabbi prays "Father" in his synagogue, he means our Father, not just my Father. As i showed, Paul the Israelite said we cry , Abba Father.OUR father..I pray 'Father '. Not 'OUR ' ..
Abba is an intimate term. Father is a formal way of addressing your paternal parent. Most of us didn’t call our physical fathers, “father,” most of the time when we addressed them. Instead we called them Dad or Daddy. Those are intimate terms of address for your father. “Abba” is roughly comparable to our Daddy. So do Jews. When a rabbi prays "Father" in his synagogue, he means our Father, not just my Father. As i showed, Paul the Israelite said we cry , Abba Father.
we, as children of God, can also address the Father as Abba on an individual basis. So do Jews. When a rabbi prays "Father" in his synagogue, he means our Father, not just my Father. As i showed, Paul the Israelite said we cry , Abba Father.
No Israelite would ever think of doing it, for no individual Israelite was a son of God. That is why they prayed, “Our Father.” The nation as a whole was accounted a Son of God (see Exod. 4:22). For an Israelite to call an individual a “son of God” was to equate that person with God Himself (John 10:30–36). That is why Jesus could be called “the Son of God.” He was “God manifested in the flesh.” Because we Christians are in Him individually, we can also be called sons of God—individually (John 1:12). As sons of God, in Jesus Christ, we can have the same intimate relation with the Father that He had (Gal. 4:6).So do Jews. When a rabbi prays "Father" in his synagogue, he means our Father, not just my Father. As i showed, Paul the Israelite said we cry , Abba Father.
