I love my friends kids and yes children are a joy
I understand this - "Other people's children are my children." - since I have never had any of my own.

I recently told my sister we were lucky not to have children when I see the struggles especially with a government and toxic world hell bent on destroying them.
I am not so sure that I would want to bring a child into this world...

For-good-bad-or-whatever-else, that is the way I feel about it.

We all have our own life's experiences, and I can only answer you in accordance with my own.

Jesus said "out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks" (Matt. 12:34), and that is how I genuinely know.

In other words, by simply listening to what comes out of a woman's mouth (the same principle applies to men), I'll know, soon enough, exactly what is in her heart.

I'm not trying to be funny or anything like that, but, in all honesty, if I can make it to the second conversation with a woman without her making sexually suggestive statements to me, then it's basically a miracle. And I'm talking about PROFESSING CHRISTIAN WOMEN.

Again, this is only my own experience. Hopefully, things are much different for other Christian men.
Sorry to hear it. I wasn't going to send my last message because I felt we were coming from two different contexts. I was talking about folks serious about marriage to each other after really getting to know each other and you're talking about first dates which is tragic indeed and probably why I've cloistered away for decades. The dating thing too awkward and I was born during the sexual revolution so unless your parents were devout to the Lord none of us had a clue or chance without direct Holy Spirit intervention

it was an american study so...I guess it doesnt represent what non-americans i.e most of the population of the restof the world think about marriage.

Maybe they think different things from americans perhaps?!

For a group of people you disparage so much and dwell on so extensively, you sure don't know much about americans.

I get the impression it's intentional. If you learned more about americans it might ruin the things you want to believe about them.
