I only joined a few weeks ago myself, so I'm not aware of other posters' posting patterns.

I was just used to seeing him around every day, and I noticed that he's been missing.

He's probably just sipping some tea.
I remember when I saw him post for the first time in a long time... I recognized his name and avatar and immediately went to where he'd posted and welcomed him back. I am not one to creep people's profiles, but I do check posting streams, and saw he'd been gone for close to three years at that point. He was using a huge smiley face for an avatar at the time... Now, people do come and go. Some make an introductory post and we never see them again LOL. Then there are those who have been here for a while, who might take a break here and there. Admittedly, almost three years is a long break!!! I took a three months' long hiatus in 2018, shortly after the platform change, and when I came back, it took me a while to find my feet (so to speak) because I had not gotten used to how things worked around here yet with the new set-up. Some people disappear never to be heard from again, and I do wonder what has happened to/with some of them. It is impossible to keep track of them all  Others go missing for long periods and then I will notice them posting again here and there. I cannot imagine giving this place up for good  But one day, I will :giggle: I plan to have my daughter let y'all know what happened to me :D

Every day, I seriously think about deleting my account here.

In fact, I was trying to figure out how to do just that yesterday, but it somehow escaped me.

Does anybody know how to delete an account here?

You would have to contact a mod such as Oncefallen and ask him to delete you.
Your posts would remain and you would become a guest, unable to post.
May I ask why you want to depart?

Thanks.

As far as my seemingly inevitable departure is concerned, the simple reason is because my involvement here (especially in the BDF) is basically just a giant waste of time. There are souls galore perishing in the world, and they really should be my primary focus. This is NOT to say that I haven't truly appreciated the kindness that I've been shown on threads such as this one. It's really a matter of being where I feel like the Lord is leading me...as scary as that sometimes is.

Maybe I'll just walk away for a bit without deleting my account. I was going to delete it a week or so ago, but then two friends of mine from outside of this forum joined here, and they were asking me to stay. Now, they don't even participate here anymore.

Whatever happens, I hope that the Lord preserves you all unto his coming kingdom.

As a quick aside, this morning, I did receive the rest of my monies that I was owed from Amazon for my February sales.

At the same time, however (and I knew that this would be the case all along, but I didn't want to check), I just went on Amazon to see if other people stole my designs and were selling them. As expected, they are. I'm not even going to bother fighting that part of it. That was happening to me all along.

This is a crazy world.

My account gets terminated for alleged "violations", and then other people are selling my designs.

Whatever.

I'll stick to preaching the gospel and let God figure out the rest.

I have noticed there are many who spend sometime here in fellowship one with another and then go off on a mission he has for them, then come back, this is kind of the Christian Life for many.

I once heard someone give this definition of "fellowship".

He said, "Imagine two fellows are in a ship that has a hole in it and is filling up with water. If they work together to fix the hole and to remove the water, then that is 'fellowship'."

In the BDF, people seem to be boring the holes in other peoples' ships while aiming fire hoses at them.

A bit of an exaggeration, but I've basically experienced no real fellowship at all there.

HERE, on this thread, YES.

There?

Not even close.

Anyhow, that has nothing to do with my current situation.

I truly feel that God is presently calling me to focus my attention elsewhere, so that is what I must do.

Again, thank you all for the kindnesses you have shown me.

I truly do appreciate it.

I understand... and I am glad that you found at least some fellowship here :)

The sad reality is that some people need need to have holes bored into their ships.

Equally daunting is knowing it is unlikely many will open their eyes to their own folly.

It is good to know your your calling :) Whatever you choose to do, I wish you well :D

Hope you made it through safe and sound... We had a gut buster of a rainy/stormy day yesterday thunder, lightening and heavy sounding raindrops on the ceiling making me wonder if it was hail or not... I didn't bother to get out from under my blankets to go and look at the time of the loud rain.

We just had a soggy yard and a couple of small branches down in the yard today.
I took care of those branches.
