We dont know he did, only its not mentioned in one of the letters. But he gave it as answer of an question of his disciples.
Yes his disciples . Its not a major issue . I bring it up to highlight how some are making verses apply to them selves when they shouldn't .

Again, what is wrong with this prayer?
On the other side it is of course no law to pray this prayer. But anyway this prayer is an good example how and what to pray.

There's nothing wrong with the context of this prayer. In context. Just like Acts 2.38 is not for the church age either, but its relevant in context.

Hm, this is not correct. I dont need to visualize something what is already as picture there :)
The function of eyesight is to send electrical impulses of information to the brain which then visualizes. Any conscious thought is an act of visualization.

I posted this as an example of deep, meaningful prayer for others to consider thinking about, and it has turned into a post against prayer. I am so sorry. Let me explain what is from truth.

The post turning it into a post against prayer is based on the word "visualization", they pounce on this word saying it is used in new age and the occult, and because of that it cannot be used by Christians. This is in error. The word candle, for example is used by the occult, but it can be used by Christians just as the word visualization can be. To use visualization to create something is used by the occult, to use visualization to see and understand what God has told us is used by Christians. It is wrong to say we cannot visualize God because the occult use visualization in the wrong way. It is demon's way of twisting things to make something evil. That is the way the devil works as shown as he twisted truth as he tempted Eve.

When the 23rd Psalm speaks of still waters and meadows it brings up a picture of those things in our minds, and that picture is of God. These pictures are not of the occult, they are not mystical, they are not new age. Neither is using pictures of things we think about. To label them so is to try to stop our thinking about the prayer the Lord gives us.

I am truly sorry about all the postings so contrary to the ways of the Lord. If I would have had the least idea my post would bring about postings so against God's ways, I would never have said a word about deep prayer, and certainly not called it visualization that they used to bring about their ungodly posts.

You haven't posted a single scripture that supports visualizing God, or using imagination imagery to support prayer. It's arguable that creating am image of God is forbidden, when you consider the ten commandments. Not that we are under the law but that the spirit of the law is a teacher to us.
It has been demonstrated to you that this type of imagination imagery as meditation is the practice of mystics.

It would be such a blessing if you would stop this bringing up the occult and then actually trying to bring it together with our thoughts of the Lord. It has no place on a Christian site.
and you think the practice of Visualization does?

The purpose of prayer isn't to expand your imagination, And create images of Heaven and God, but to conform ourselves and our thoughts and ideas to the word of God.

Of course you don't want to be confronted with your error.
Accusing someone who is correcting is the last bastion of the erroneous attempting to divert attention from their error.

Fret not, they falsely accused our Lord and Savior also. We are in good company.

John
15:18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before [it hated] you.
15:19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
15:20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.

imho, Yes.

To him who is evil, all things are evil. This thread has exposed the true colors of many to me. Nothing like a good old fashioned witch hunt. Is the pot hot yet?

For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have
received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!”
Romans 8:15 ESV
https://bible.com/bible/59/rom.8.15.ESV

To the Romans Paul says that they cry out, "Abba Father", by the spirit of adoption as sons.

Written proof from scripture, that we call God our Father, and it is by the Holy Spirit that we do.

He is not talking to Jews in Rome, but the Christian Church in Rome.

Romans 8:15-16 :)

I have scripture memorized. But not any set prayers. I do pray based on scripture, particularly the psalms.
