Prince Philip passed this morning, just shy of his 100th birthday. A rather sad end of an era. With the royals being thrust into the spotlight for all the wrong reasons, I'm sure this is a difficult time. I truly hope he knew the Lord.

The longest serving royal consort in the history of The British Monarchy.
A 73 year marriage. That's quite impressive for anyone in the public eye.

This dominated the newscast this morning. Sad news indeed, but not surprising. I'm staying away from news for the rest of the day... simply to avoid the talking heads.

May God bless his family and the Queen. The Queen is a Christian, or so I've heard. I'm going to be nervous about approaching the news (not like I already am!) with reference to how she's taking it.

lots of programs about him showing on tv, though most of them say he was agnostic.
I wonder if he ever came round to knowing the Lord, because actually lots of people were offended by his ungracious comments whenever he went touring around the world. He would pass it off as joking, but some of them were quite nasty!

To her credit the Queen didnt emulate his behaviour though not sure if she admonished him in private.

Well when someone is close to 100 years of age, there is no tragedy. The tragedy is that the Queen and Prince Philip refused to speak out publicly when the UK was going down the drain. And now it is a Fascist/Communist country which has been taken over by foreign and internal enemies. No real monarch would have silently stood by while traitors ruled the roost. The monarchy itself was an anachronism, and should have ended when Canada became an independent country.
