If Jesus had not of died? This is pointless because He did die for our salvation. But obviously before Jesus was the faith in the coming of Jesus, the faith in God, and ceremonial sacrifices for sin that gave salvation to people like Abraham, Noah, Moses, etc.If JESUS had not of died on the cross could we still get eternally saved? Is there a scripture that tells us why It was not possible to be saved without JESUS death on the cross?GOD IS almighty and nothing Is Impossible for HIM.
The God ordained principle that applies...If JESUS had not of died on the cross could we still get eternally saved? Is there a scripture that tells us why It was not possible to be saved without JESUS death on the cross?GOD IS almighty and nothing Is Impossible for HIM.
It's impossible for God to lie (Heb. 6:18).GOD IS almighty and nothing Is Impossible for HIM.
What Is your response though to the OP?It's impossible for God to lie (Heb. 6:18).

Amen .He was purposed from before the foundation of the world, and the reason for His
incarnation was to give His life as a ransom for many. Is that not more than enough?
I was asking that since nothing Is Impossible for GOD why did JESUS have to die on the cross? Are you saying that since 'nothing is impossible for God, He might have, could have or possibly should have, come up with another solution to our sins separating us from Him?
I don't get your op. Please clue me in
Not apart from the Death ,burial and resurrection , no .If JESUS had not of died on the cross could we still get eternally saved? Is there a scripture that tells us why It was not possible to be saved without JESUS death on the cross?GOD IS almighty and nothing Is Impossible for HIM.
I was asking that since nothing Is Impossible for GOD why did JESUS have to die on the cross?![]()
If you understand what a "testament" is, then you'll have the answer to your question. If JESUS had not of died on the cross could we still get eternally saved? Is there a scripture that tells us why It was not possible to be saved without JESUS death on the cross?GOD IS almighty and nothing Is Impossible for HIM.
This has nothing to do with the fact that the penalty for sins needed to be paid in full. And that is exactly what Christ did.GOD IS almighty and nothing Is Impossible for HIM.

I guess I'll say this then I'll leave It alone because I see that the question Is having an unintended Influence.Ok well that's a little clearer I think
Would it not seem then, that you would ask the same question of any way that God decreed salvation or does the fact Jesus died (and rose again) seem to 'bother' you?
I think the answer regarding scripture explaining why Christ's death was God's way of obtaining our forgiveness starts back in Genesis with the death of Abel at the hands of his brother Cain. God said that Abel's blood cried out to Him from the ground. (Your brother’s blood is crying out to me from the ground. Genesis 4:10)
In Leviticus, we read that God states that blood must make atonement for sin because the life (of the creature or anyone) is in their blood. Leviticus 17:11 This would explain Abel's blood 'crying' out. His life had been taken.
We know that the sacrificial system was never meant to be permanent and that God had promised atonement. Jesus shed his blood, Jesus a sinless human and the Son of God at the same time. Therefore, His blood was sinless and acceptable to God for atonement.
I would add that God made it this way and I doubt we have all the answers as to why He did, but it was His choice to do so.
You can do a study on this as my response is short, but maybe gives you an answer to work off of.
Excellent scripture. If you understand what a "testament" is, then you'll have the answer to your question.
For example, we read:
Hebrews chapter 9
[15] And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
[16] For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.
[17] For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.
[18] Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood.
[19] For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,
[20] Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.
[21] Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry.
[22] And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
A testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator lives.
For example, if someone was to write their last will and testament and bequeath everything that they owned to their children, then that testament wouldn't be able to be enforced, and their children wouldn't be able to receive their inheritance, until the time came that the testator died.
The same principle applies with Christ and us.
Jesus died, not only to pay the penalty for any sins which had been committed under the Old Testament, but also to initiate the New Testament in his blood (Matt. 26:28, Mark 14:24, Luke 22:20, I Cor. 11:25) so that we might be joint-heirs with him (Rom. 8:17), or share his eternal inheritance with him, at his second coming.
That's the basic gist of it.
Jesus in the garden prayed, "if there is any other way let this cup pass from him" but That the will of the Father be done.If JESUS had not of died on the cross could we still get eternally saved? Is there a scripture that tells us why It was not possible to be saved without JESUS death on the cross?GOD IS almighty and nothing Is Impossible for HIM.

The reason I think JESUS had to die on the cross Is that GOD loves righteousness and If the law which was added because of Adams transgression had not been filled perfectly
then no one would be able to be acceptable to GOD
And someone would have said that's not right.
GOD loves righteousness.
The law says that If anyone break the law they have to pay with death and since JESUS was having mercy on those who broke the law, HE took their place and died on the cross satisfying the demand of the law which man could not keep because of the weakness of the flesh.
Hebrews 1:7-10
King James Version
7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
8 But unto the Son [he saith], Thy throne, O God, [is] for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness [is] the sceptre of thy kingdom.
9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, [even] thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:
