Listen, whoever has an ear to hear and a heart that understands.....

Where is your heart?

What matters most to you in life.....your family, your children....what?????

What matters most is what you love....and what you love is what saves you.....

It's so important to love Jesus Christ because ONLY HE can save you. There is no other Savior but HIM - Jesus Christ.

Ahhh . . . the human Heart . . . the Heart and core of the entire Bible. If not for the necessity of Purifying the Heart, there would be no need for the Bible to have been written. There would have been no need to create anything physical at all.

Ezekiel 36:25-27 KJV - "Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them."

The Ezekiel passages above are fulfilled in Christ and is fully described in the Seven most Perfect Verses in the entire Bible . . . Colossians 2:9-15. This is absolutely incredible . . .

Colossians 2:9-15 KJV - "For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him (not a reference to the foreskin of the penis - that would be really disgusting), having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it."

Once I realized that the entire Bible revolved around the Heart, or, Colossians 2:9-15 . . . my entire Christian life changed and I began to understand the Bible in a way that has made it fully reasonable and rational . . . cover to cover. Thank God for Colossians 2:9-15!

Yes! The Bible revolves around God’s Heart reaching for our hearts...for our hearts to be one with His....sweet fellowship, intimacy...loving and knowing Him and He loving and knowing us.....

We don’t have to wait till we die to experience God’s Prescence in Heaven, we can know Him and abide in His Presence now while on the Earth....just by seeking His Heart...to love Him, know and encounter Him.....so life-giving...the only way life on Earth is bearable...

Isn't the purpose of the reference to uncircumcision to relay the disgusting nature of sin? But despite us being in such a state, God took away our filth and shame through Christ.

The "Promise" of the Work of Christ is for all people, not just those who were given physical circumcision. Spiritual Circumcision, however, is what is required for Salvation (Rom 2:28-29.) Colossians 2:9-15 revolves around the "sinful state" of humans, and this is what "flesh" represents . . . the Sinful Nature. Here is the reference from the NLT . . . it's beautiful.

Colossians 2:11-13 NLT - "When you came to Christ, you were "circumcised," but not by a physical procedure. Christ performed a spiritual circumcision--the cutting away of your sinful nature. 12 For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead. 13 You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins."

Col 2:9-15 deals directly with the removal of the Sin Nature . . . the result of the unholy work of Adam and Eve. What Adam and Eve did is the reason for the Purpose and Work of Christ . . . to remove that element of the Curse . . . to be free from the Effectual influence and Power of Satan. Once this "Nature" is removed, it is replaced by the Divine Nature (2 Pet 1:4).

These things are the utter Core of the entire Bible, and Colossians 2:9-15 gives full explanation and understanding to most of it.

The Purpose of the entire Bible is to receive a new, Circumcised Heart, and only by receiving this New Heart is a person able to enter the Gates of Heaven.

Deuteronomy 10:16 KJV - 16 Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked.
Jeremiah 4:4 KJV - 4 Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench [it], because of the evil of your doings.

If we would take the time to study this Core, Central Doctrine of the Bible, we'd find that Spiritual Circumcision is throughout the entire Bible. It's everywhere . . . but no one sees or recognizes it because when a person thinks of circumcision, they think "penis." And this is why most pastors refuse to even say the word . . . it's too embarrassing.

To prove my point that this doctrine is missed, imagine two little kids in the foyer of a church, and you overheard them using the word circumcision. Just about every adult would become wide-eyed . . . that's a fact. o_O:eek:

Lol. Really? Maybe you're spending too much time with liberal pastors? The churches and pastors I listen to seem to mention it almost every other week. Sure, the physical act of circumcision only makes sense on male anatomy, just as the act of giving birth only makes sense with female anatomy. But I don't really think of the male member every time I hear the word "circumcision", anymore than I think of the vagina every time I heard the word "birth". I associate the word circumcision with cleanness and ownership (covenant), and birth with new life. Maybe it just depends on where you're from? ;)

Lol. Really? Again, maybe it just depends on where you're from. Where I'm from, it's just a part of life, no more eye-widening than the word male... or (gasp)... female!

There is absolutely no doubt that I grew up within a weird frame of Christianity. I can't explain it other than that the Lord has been in control of my path. But yes, I 100% agree that it has everything to do with who, or what, I have been surrounded by in relation to the Church. Ahhh . . . the stories I have! :D

What about a person who has no concept of love?
A heart that has been broken and shattered as a result of life experiences.
Trust me I am one of them or was one of them.

It's easy to say love Jesus and he must come forth in all things.
That just adds a burden to broken hurt people who have no concept of Jesus love for us and then are told to place their love in him and for him.

@Lafftur maybe start a thread with the op and ask people if they get this.
If not why not?

I am amazed at how many Christians that I have asked the following.

Do you know that God loves you as much as he loves Jesus?

Majority say NO.

Hello @BillG,

We ALL end up broken and without a concept of love....ALL of us are destined to be broken and shattered as a result of life experiences.....it's how we find out only God is faithful - He is the ONLY one.

People keep running to other people or things to meet their needs or fix them but, it ends up empty or temporary. Even if a person truly loves us, they die.....now what? Only Jesus Christ is constant and His love is constant. He can heal our broken hearts and return joy and laughter to us.

It's okay if someone doesn't understand love......eventually, they will seek God with all their heart and find Him...the One that truly loves them and they will know His love.

We can't fix a person's broken heart, if we could then they would cling to us and that's not God's will. God wants the broken hearted to cling to Him.

Just a side note, be sure to walk in wisdom because some people will use their "sad situation" to manipulate and take advantage of other's kindness.

Great to hear from you!(y)

It's a question that requires introspect. I try not to be too stoic about things, but I don't spend much time examining my heart. I'm usually just on do what I have to do mode

Thanks for taking the time to respond.

Whilst there is truth in what you say I do have to say that actually I have a few issues with what you say.

You say "Its ok if someone doesn't understand love and eventually they will seek God"
Actually it's not ok. It should break our hearts if they do not as it does Gods.
No we can't fix a person's broken heart only God can do that but he uses people like us to show and walk in Gods love for them. Then they get an idea of true love.
Then they will cling to God.

You me and everyone here has a duty of care as such to walk with the broken hearted no matter how long it takes.
Yes he can heal broken hearts and that is what he wants to do.

You say "Even if a person truly loves they die then what?
A person who is the recipient of that love then they would understand love.
If I dropped dead tomorrow my wife would know I truly loved her and vice versa.

you say "Its important to love Jesus because only he will save you"
Does one love Jesus when they first place faith in him?
What it they act in a way that actually lacks love for Jesus?
I know you know the answer to this and that they are saved yet they may not think they are.

I do love your heart and passion I truly do.

I am just worried by your original post that it may lay a burden on people who do not understand the concept of true love.

It may help me to understand what you are saying if you can define love that you are talking about.

Much love to you my sister

Hello again BillG,

After Salvation, the most important thing is to love God and love others as we love ourselves. Love is relational meaning it takes time to cultivate....spending time with God needs to take first place, and then all the relationships in our life are next, and finally we need to love ourselves because we love God so, we love what God made.

Loving people (friend and foe) in a healthy way is impossible without first loving God. God is the ONLY one that can help us with love. By simply praying and asking God to help us to love Him, others and ourselves is the first step, next keep asking Him every day and we will eventually begin to see our love walk grow little by little.

No point in feeling defeated and giving up on love, we need to ask God to help us love and keep on asking! Also, being thankful is like fertilizer.....loves grows really fast in a heart that is thankful even for the little things. A person will be unable to be thankful if they are prideful.

I would define the love I am talking about as.....a clean (no hidden agendas), humble, thankful, hopeful, believing, trusting and forgiving heart!

Love is sooooo important. We need God to help us so our love doesn't grow cold by this world.
