In all honesty, if a man truly loves Jesus and studies how Jesus interacted uniquely to meet the needs of each individual, his Agape love would transcend this list. In fact, the list would fade or even become a source of endearment.
What do you think agape love means?

And, you don't necessarily need counseling if you just communicate honestly and effectively with each other.

;)

:)

But how many actually do that? My pastor left us to discuss private things. He laughed and said at our age and maturity we could figure it out. But a whole lot of couples don't seem to figure it out. Unmet needs turn people to other places to get those needs met.

Christ was a MGTOW in many ways
He really went his own way

Christ came to earth with a mission, a wife and family couldn't be a part of that. If a person wants to stay single, that's their choice. But I think God's plan from the first was for us to have someone, a partner in life. If you find the right one there is nothing like belonging. Nothing like having a friend and partner in life.

Premarriage counseling isn't so much about communicating honestly and effectively (if you aren't doing that already, counseling won't be of much value) as it is about getting people to communicate about things that are important yet they just aren't considering or they're making assumptions about.

Christ's singleness was because His life was entirely devoted to completing the task set forth by His Father, MGTOW is ultimately about self centeredness and disengaging from what God has called men to be.

imprtant things like whether they are doing drugs?
lol
eg you go out with somoene and find out in premarital counselling that they actually smoke but they just never smoked around you when they went out with you because, well that was 'courting' or 'dating' or even 'foreplay' hahaha

then you are left with a bit of dilemma I would imagine of you are a non smoker.

I think Gods plan was to have us look after His creation and he created people to do that.
He needed lots of people. Because initially there were more animals and plants than humans.

Now I think the ratio is becoming much much less....

I have no idea what MGTOW is about. I just googled it to see what it stands for...

The bible says nothing about such.
Attempting to demonize men like myself who aren't perusing relationship is water off a ducks back my friend... ;)

Im happy and at peace thank you very much...
God Bless

Procreation and marriage is definitely a part of God's plan.
And to be honest i was totally gutted after my last relationship and became suicidal.
I know that im growing old with no one to love and no one to love me and that was really tough to accept.

It took a huge effort and Gods peace for me to come around to this position of acceptance and comfort.

But hey... Never say never. We see 60 year olds getting together. I think thats sweet...:)

It's sad that people are so careless in their relationships as to leave someone in such a state. I will never understand how someone claims to love you then turns around and shows the exact opposite. I know it's not right to wish the same thing happens to them in their next relationship, but it's really hard not to feel that way.

Sometimes self preservation supersedes affection.

Aaaaannndd, if a couple is already communicating honestly and effectively, they will be doing what you are suggesting; hence, they will not need counseling.

My remark was referring to how couples "need to be" well before marriage, not what the counseling is about.

has any anybody actually done this 'premarital counseling' I wonder what they talk about.
could 'unmet needs' mean...... what you dont have an endless supply of cashflow?

or could it mean you know what Im gonna have my babies with someone else as well as you. Cos I want all my children to have different dads just to mix it up ya know. why have just one dad when you could have four.

I wonder what Rachel and Leah talked about when Jacob wasnt around...plus they had all their handmaids too. One big happy family?

I don't wish anything but the best for her now... This was over 7 years ago
Letting go of all resentment was a necessary part of moving on. Im at peace now. I just take it as it comes...

I often get compliments from women of all ages and sorts about my moustache...
Maybe i'll find a wittier response next time. "oh thanks, nice smile" try and see if there's no ring on her finger..:)
The moustache could be the key.... I doubt it...

I didn't call you MGTOW, and there's nothing wrong with not pursuing a relationship. I haven't pursued one yet, and I'm 43. Don't have any plans to start that pursuing any time soon either.

MGTOW is not just "men who don't want to have a wife or girlfriend." It's "men who think all women are out to get them, for fun and profit." That video is definitely MGTOW, as it paints women as profiteering, heartless manipulators of men for their own gain.

You don't seem to actively hate women, so you can't be true MGTOW. :giggle:

Don't sell yourself, I met my hubby online ;)

Two points should cover it ;)

1. Loves God.

2. Is kind.

Even that is redundant LOL
Yesss!!! Totally agree with you. It is easy to get so caught up in how storybook-romance perfect he is that we totally forget about his spiritual life.
