God ordained capital punishment for many offences. Nowhere in the NT does it say to outlaw capital punishment. It's not the role of the church to dictate the law to the world system. We should be praying for our governments that they be pleasing to God. Then the laws will be pleasing to God also.
Yes there needs to be a separation between church and state

I believe the other DeSouza, Mr. Dinesh is the one you are thinking of as to having a conviction. This Fr. Raymond DeSouza is a different fellow

Easy mistake to make though, as Mr. Dinesh is often at odds with the NWO types, including the Pope
i don't know who Raymond De Souza is except he is a Catholic writer

and I agree w/ every word he says

The pope has tremendous influence among those who believe that the Catholic Church is the one true church of Christ. What these gullible Catholics have failed to notice is that Pope Francis is a RADICAL LEFTIST GLOBALIST (Communist would be appropriate) whose main purpose in life is to undermine and destroy Western and Christian societies and nations. So while non-Catholics may dismiss his evil words, Catholics are torn between listening to him or what their church teaches. He should have been forced to resign long ago, but that may never happen.
not all Catholic are "torn" as you say

It is like anything else: If you follow Jesus and really, really care what He thinks and about HIS commandments... you will not be fooled by a heretical pope. By t he way, I have studied Catholicism rather in-depth and no heretic can be pope

what i don't get is

WHY is Francis, an obvious heretic, allowed to "be one"?

For those who do not understand Catholicism fully (probably 60% of the nonCatholic world if not more) I have this to say

If you have been filled w/ the Holy Spirit, and are not currently in serious sin (you've had your sins washed away by the blood of Christ) you will know a heretic when you see one.. so it seems to me... I'm not God but that is what i totally believe.

I agree with capital punishment.

Ideally there should be a place where we could just say, ok, you want to live life as a murderer or sexual deviant - fine - and just dump them on an island à la "Escape from New York". Air drop food once in a while, and let them work it out for themselves. I don't like to see people put to death, personally. But we don't have all the resources in the world, either.

But there's always a chance that people will give their lives to Christ after conviction, like Karla Faye Tucker. I always would want to leave room for that.

To address your question directly - who is wrong? For me, doesn't matter. They're just two people discussing a subject - I hold no allegiance to either!

i was reading this interesting story in a Glenn Beck book about the early days of electricity

The DC people (Edison..) said that AC (Westinghouse/Tesla) would kill a lot of people... or some or whatever.

The AC people said otherwise and there was a guy on death row and he was going to be electrocuted to death using AC but it didn't work... at least not right away and it was a terrible sight... the guy caught on fire and ... I won't go into details..

so I didn't get whether he actually did die at the time or later or what... guess Beck didn't want to go into certain details either but anyhow.. Then there was an elephant that was going tobe put to death. Giving it cyanide didn't work.. so they thought of electrocution.

6600 volts was applied to this elephant that had brass sandals on..

Well, at first I thought to myself: Why do they want to kill this elephant?

Then Beck mentions that the elephant had killed 3 people, one who tried to feed it a lit cigarette..

Well, the 6600 volts killed it..

Frankly, I forgot why I am telling this story... But one thing that occurs to me is how I had a visceral reaction at first to reading about this elephant... Even after hearing it had killed 3 people, I kind of felt sorry for the thing... But then I realized I probably felt that way just because... because of all the animal rights people in our world who... Oh my... If that elephant thing were to happen TODAY.... well... They would have a huge collective caniption.. and the elephant would have been saved probably.

so I wonder... If it weren't for the animal rights people... Would I have felt so sorry for a mere elephant? And why did I still feel that way SOMEWHAT after learning it had killed people?

i tend to think this shows how easily influenced we are by... even people we do not agree with.. (animal rights fanatics).

I guess this is my inner psychologist at work...

anyhow...

i totally disagree

the implication in your post is that Christians should not be involved with what is going on in the public arena. That is NOT responsible Christianity.

The best example is Roe v Wade. I highly respect the people and groups who fought that from the beginning. They tried to pass laws and succeeded in some places.. laws that protected minors from getting an abortion w/o parental notification or consent... Then there was the law... the word Pain was.. oh, Pain-Capable... I don't know the details on that one but the point is that people of good will came together to fight this hideous decision that is responsible for over 60 million deaths..

Christians cannot sit on their hands and ... maybe sitting on their hands too much was what led to.. what we have today... election steals... hyper-pro-abortion fake catholic so-called presidents.... etc..

What Catholic dogma has he denied to be true?
years ago, he said he would allow Catholics not in good standing with the Church (in mortal sin) to accept the Eucharist at Mass.. those invalidly married could receive Communion...

apparently, he didn't believe that the Host really is Jesus, as per Catholic teaching (See Jn 20:19 &..). Jesus does not want to be forced into the body of someone who is using said body to commit egregious sin--- like fornication, adultery, un-confessed abortion...

If someone is re-"married" to someone outside the laws of the Church (true spouse still living, presumed valid marriage to that person)... such laws coming from Christ himself.. that person is in a state of adultery and cannot receive Communion.

The pope was acting like: Hey, I know it's impossible for you to adhere to the Laws of Christ, so I will just allow you to break them"

I don't know if he changed his position or not... haven't heard but plenty of clergy complained and undoubtedly plenty of lay people..

He didn’t blankety say anyone invalidity married can receive communion. He didn’t even mandate that priests had to give communion to these people. All he said was that there are some highly irregular circumstances where the priest or bishop can discern if it could be acceptable to receive communion.

Now I know for a fact there have been divorced people that cannot get an annulment because the spouse lies about the circumstances of their marriage so that the Church cannot reach a conclusion. There are a bunch of extremely weird family situations as well we don’t even think about. Those are the situations Francis is talking about.

this is not true.

in the document he put out... probably am not going to spell it correctly... Lattitia... such and such

he flat out says that people who traditionally could not receive Communion now can

He is a heretic

on his way to Hell if he doesn't repent

If you find it let me read it, that wasn’t what I read about this topic.
