Yes, I was reading about this in a newspaper, can't recall which one at the moment, maybe the Wanderer, my favorite.

He knows he's going there...? doesn't want it to last forever... so I guess it doesn't

Well, I guess there's no need to go to the Word of God for the Truth. Just go to the Pope and you won't have to read a single page of our Holy Book. Sounds like Jeroboam to me.

I mean to be fair, the pope is typically wrong. We shouldn't be surprised when he just lives up to his reputation.

Some Catholics do read the Bible. I (though I do not really like being called Catholic.. the word can mean just about anything, subjectively speaking) have read the whole thing and am starting on it again, half way through. The Church does not reject the Word. The fake pope does... big difference. Even the pope has not done any ex cathedra pronouncement that there is no eternal Hell.. There hasn't been an ex cathedra proclamation in 50 years, i have heard. So do not put on the Church what should only be put on a heretical pope. Informed Catholics know this.

In any case, it is still very shocking. I actually have memorized the passages that tell us otherwise (and other non-Hell psgs).

There is this at the end of Mt 25:31 where Jesus says that those who did things 4 Him (His followers), helped Him (His followers) will go to Heaven and those who did not "These will go off into eternal punishment."

It's right there in black and white...

I think the pope is doing what so many politicians do these days... giving up truth to please and appease the far Left..

And all these things... the bogus US election... the bogus pope.. all these things point to (IMO) Jesus returning SOON.

this pope is

I think that popes up to and including Pope Pius XII were doing their job

After Pius died... sheez... the secret society knuckleheads took over the hierarchy

But this has the effect of showing who are the true Catholics and who are not... (I mean you know... after we get to know them... which hopefully is not too late?)

Jesus did tell us that few make it to Heaven. Most people end up in Hell (Mt 7, Lk 13...)

Beautiful post in all aspects. I totally respect what you have written, and I thank you!

Say, if you want to blow your mind, try to read the Bible in a timeline, chronological order. Below is a link for the one-year Bible Plan. It is possible to read through the whole Bible twice per year; just read two days worth of reading per day. That's an easy thing to do if we want to . . . and what we will learn is absolutely mind-boggling!

Chronological Order

Eternal hell exists in your hatred. There is no eternal hell in God's mercy.

thanks but I have already read it 1 1/2 times. Frankly, of late, I have little time to read anything..

also, I have to admit, I DO still read books (when I have time) RE politics although I call it Current Events because I am not a political person. I am a "true Republican" as opposed 2 a rino, but since I don't buy all that every R says... well, I just don't like the word Politics... Who does? (esp now)

Also... hate to admit this.. just hate to say this and may be totally misunderstood... But I am rather impatient with the Lord these days... I mean... I don't know... He parted the Red Sea... why can't he do something similar today...? Well, maybe he IS... we just don't see it... or all of us do not anyhow...

just some thoughts and subjective feelings from a disturbed Trumper... (Trump is the true President. He won, legally)

ing
dont get the last sentence

but as to this... God is merciful but NOT toward those who do not want Him... who reject him to their dying breath

reminds me of a true story: a "priest" who molested many boys died not long ago. Apparently, he never once repented of what he'd done because on his death bed people tried to get him to accept the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession), tried to use holy water, etc... but he violently refused.

That person looks like he went to Hell because there didn't seem to be a bit of repentance. True, only God in Heaven knows what is going on inside a person... but my thought is this (based largely on experience): if a person persists in egregious sin, he gets to the point where he does not even have the least desire to "be saved." he loses all desire for what is holy.

As the Catholic Church teaches, no one can be saved against his own will.

We have to cooperate.

My friend, I have felt His Raw, Almighty Power. If I can say this . . . Trust Me! He is here; He is listening; He is orchestrating everything according to Plan.

This life is incredibly difficult . . . and so the Lord gives us the remarkable work called "Endure." We have to endure the trials and struggles of this fallen world, and that requires Holy Trust.

Hang in there.

Sorry you feel that way. Some of us haven't even met you yet. Is there a particular reason for your leaving?

She won't be back. This was her third account in only a couple of months that she tried to have deleted (just so she could try to return with a new nic).

Well, the sad news is: One day (possibly soon) he will find out the Truth!
