One of the magnificent, mysterious truths about the new birth is that it creates a state of being for the believer in which we are simultaneously in Jesus, even as he is in us.
This truth is emphasized and reiterated over and over in the new testerment, both in the words of Jesus and in the letters of both paul and John.

In just the first chapter of of ephesians alone youll find roughly a dozen occurences of phrases like, in him, in Christ and, in Christ Jesus, The full witness of the new covenant is this, because we are in Jesus and he in us, we stand in his righteousness, his favor and his authority. That is our leagal possition in the courts of heavens.

In fact, even though we remain here on earth, living out our daily lifes, there is a very real sense in which we are also enthroned with christ in heaven.

This is the unambiguous message (not open to more than one interpretation) in Eshesisans 2:6 6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,

This means that you never come to God in prayer as your self alone, for you Gods throne is a throne of grace you can approach boldly, Hebrews 4:16 6 There for since it still remains for some to enter that rest, and since those who formerly had the good news proclaimed to them did not go in because of their disobedience,

And because you come in his righteousness, his favor and his authority, you qualify for everyone of the great and precious promises in the the word, for no matter how many promises God has made they are yes in christ, and so through him the (AMEN) is spoken by us to the glory of God, 2.cor 1:20 20 For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of
God.
When your heart becomes convinced of this thruth the gratitude, joy, and adoration this produces in you you fuels your faith and worship, and the confidence this produces in you fuels your faith some more.

Mathew 19:28

The law of many laws
Jesus said that anyone who does good works in my name will inherit eternal life.

Good works 1
Mathew 19:28 Jesus says in this verse anyone who does good works in my name will inherit eternal life.

28 Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife[e] or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life. 30 But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first.

Good works 2
Jesus said those who obey my commandments will have eternal life

mathew 16:17
16 Just then a man came up to Jesus and asked, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?”
17 “Why do you ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.”

Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.

And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.

But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him, And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.

Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves? And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.”

There is power in faith, but faith is not power.

God has power; but God is not power.

The enemy is already beaten; some believers have both the understanding and faith necessary to draw on that truth. :)
But as many who recieved him to them God gave the power…through faith

amen faith is not power faith is how we access Gods power

Faith is the complete trust in God. It is believing that God will do what he says no matter what the situation looks like.
There is very popular saying that there is power in prayer which comes from faith.

Ephesians 1:19-20 I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of Gods power for us who believe in him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at Gods right hand in the heavenly realms.

Dont miss understand the power in faith and start a whole new conspiracy, really come on guys your offending your own faith by doing so. The power that God gives his believers is only for those who believe in him. This special reward of power that God gives his believers is not set aside for elite super class christians or reserved for those who think they have earned it through good works or good behaviour. No simple belief is the only stated qualification needed to be saved by Gods grace. The grace that God gives his believers is the incredible greatness of Gods faith for us ill show you.

Esphesisans 1
18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength 20 he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms,

then theres the works of Grace that works through you in your faith. Grace is the biggest power of them all.

come on guys surely you can see this. Then theres the power of the holy spirit that lives in you that builds your faith up to be strong. Faith builds a person to have strenght in spirit.

Then theres this

Romans 8:37: in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us

Then theres the message of warning for people who are strong and upright in the lord not to miss use there strenght.

Romans 12:3: For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment,

No, it is not the same. There is power in a battery but a battery is not power. There is power in a horse but a horse is not power.

"Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." - Hebrews 11:1. It is one of the few words that the Bible specifically defines.

Seriously. ;)

17 “Why do you ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.”

Matthew 24:13
“But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

I'm curious to why you posted these verses above,JESUS told him that he was still lacking when It comes to keeping the commandments?

utter hogwash comparing faith to a battery ;). The batery will run out. You should be comparing faith to a super battery that never runs out full of horse power seariously. also why are you just cherry picking one verse to explain faith like hebrews 11.1. when theres many verses on faith seariously.

Where does faith come from ? well firstly it comes from God romans 12:3 3 For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.

And what can just a small amount of faith the size of mustard seed do ? mathew 17:20
20 He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

So its clear faith is given from God and faith has power, it should be clear that faith comes from a light that has allways been, the light is a power that has kept the forces of darkness out of his kingdom for all of eternity. this light has allways been, and thats a power that has allways been power, and our faith comes from that power. we are given a measure of faith from his glorious kingdom so powerfull is this faith that is given to us it can move a mountain.

Having faith tho doesnt qualify you to allways be right when you dont think in sober Judgement.

we have to establish the laws of faith becasuse Jesus is our keeper of the law and a preacher of the law. The whole bible is a book of laws of dos and donts. the law is holy and when we follow Jesus we follow his laws which is the law of love the law of faith the law of obediance. his moral laws and his commandments. so we shouldnt curse the law or works.

the laws of faith

2 Faith without works is no faith at all james 2:14-26

4 Faith is to believe in christ to have eternal life John 3:15

A person that has been saved WILL do good works but good works before salvation doesn't mean the person Is saved.
It depends on how you see. i suppose. but i tend not to lean on my understanding. Because i can not judge a persons heart or there insentive to do Good.
If i was to Judge everybodys incentive i wouldnt being fare to people.

If somebody sudenly just started doing good works for the sake of Jesus, there is no way i could tell if he had just been saved. The only answer i could give you is a person can be saved in silent prayer one day and start doing Good works For Jesus the next, i wouldnt know if they where saved But Jesus would.

All tho judging from the op of this thread i would say that if a person does good work in jesus name, for the glory of his kingdom, then theres highly good chance there saved.

utter hogwash comparing faith to a battery ;).
Clearly, you have no idea what I am saying. I did not compare faith to a battery; I used two examples of things which have power but are not power. The issue is the phraseology, not a comparison.

The batery will run out. You should be comparing faith to a super battery that never runs out full of horse power seariously. also why are you just cherry picking one verse to explain faith like hebrews 11.1. when theres many verses on faith seariously.
The word is "seriously". Why is your spelling so bad, especially when I already provided you with the correct spelling? Hebrews 11:1 specifically defines faith. It's not "cherry picking" to select such a verse.

None of which supports your assertion that faith is power.

Having faith tho doesnt qualify you to allways be right when you dont think in sober Judgement.
How is that relevant to anything we're discussing?

we have to establish the laws of faith becasuse Jesus is our keeper of the law and a preacher of the law.
No, we don't. Faith is defined clearly and concisely for us.

The whole bible is a book of laws of dos and donts.
You have missed the point of the Bible... seriously.

the law is holy and when we follow Jesus we follow his laws which is the law of love the law of faith the law of obediance. his moral laws and his commandments. so we shouldnt curse the law or works.
Are you suggesting that I have cursed the law or works?

the laws of faith
1 which is dont miss use your faith and think of your self more highly than other. rom12:3
That is not what the verse says. It says, "Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has given you." What that means is, if you have great faith, then think of yourself as having great faith. If you have little faith, then think of yourself as having little faith. In context, it means that we all have value, not that we are all equal in faith.

2 Faith without works is no faith at all james 2:14-26
Again, this is not what it says. It says that faith without works is dead.

3 if you dont believe in the unseen your faith has no hope. John 20:29
Wow... you butchered that one. It says, "Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed"; it does not say anything like what you claim.

4 Faith is to believe in christ to have eternal life John 3:15
Nope. Faith is not defined in John 3:15 at all.

5 you must keep your faith untill the end mathew 24:13
Wrong again. The concept of "must" is not there. It says that those who "do" endure to the end will be saved... and this is spoken within a very specific prophetic context that must be properly understood for verse 13 to be parsed correctly.

6 Prayer Increases our faith. Luke 17:5
You like adding words to Scripture don't you? I really hope you aren't a preacher; you have no business trying to teach the word of God to others. This verse does not say that "prayer increases our faith" at all. It is a plea to Jesus that the disciples' faith would be increased. In context, it means that they recognized they did not have the faith required to forgive others as Jesus taught.

7 Understanding the Power of faith Increases our faith. Luke 17:6.
Wow... more invention. Jesus is saying here that even a little faith can be very effective. There is nothing in the verse about increasing faith at all. Given the previous few verses, Jesus is essentially saying, "Work with the faith you have; you might be surprised what you can accomplish."

8 Hearing the Word of God Increases our faith. Romans 10:17
Wrong again. There is nothing about "increasing" faith in that verse.

9 having little faith will not cast out demons . Matthew 17:19–21
You're close on this one... I'll give you the point. That's 1 out of 9.

Maybe you should spend less time making "laws" out of Scripture and start looking for general principles. I would highly recommend a book on Bible study methods called Living by the Book by Howard Hendricks and William Hendricks.
