JOHN 1

The Word Becomes Human
1In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was already with God in the beginning.
3Everything came into existence through him. Not one thing that exists was made without him.
4He was the source of life, and that life was the light for humanity.
5The light shines in the dark, and the dark has never extinguished it.
6God sent a man named John to be his messenger. 7John came to declare the truth about the light so that everyone would become believers through his message. 8John was not the light, but he came to declare the truth about the light.
9The real light, which shines on everyone, was coming into the world. 10He was in the world, and the world came into existence through him. Yet, the world didn’t recognize him. 11He went to his own people, and his own people didn’t accept him. 12However, he gave the right to become God’s children to everyone who believed in him. 13These people didn’t become God’s children in a physical way—from a human impulse or from a husband’s desire ⌞to have a child⌟. They were born from God.
14The Word became human and lived among us. We saw his glory. It was the glory that the Father shares with his only Son, a glory full of kindness  1:14 Or “grace.” and truth.
GENESIS 1

The Creation
1In the beginning God created heaven and earth.
2The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep water. The Spirit of God was hovering over the water.
3Then God said, “Let there be light!” So there was light. 4God saw the light was good. So God separated the light from the darkness. 5God named the light day, and the darkness he named night. There was evening, then morning—the first day.
6Then God said, “Let there be a horizon in the middle of the water in order to separate the water.” 7So God made the horizon and separated the water above and below the horizon. And so it was. 8God named ⌞what was above⌟ the horizon sky. There was evening, then morning—a second day.
9Then God said, “Let the water under the sky come together in one area, and let the dry land appear.” And so it was. 10God named the dry land earth. The water which came together he named sea. God saw that it was good. 11Then God said, “Let the earth produce vegetation: plants bearing seeds, each according to its own type, and fruit trees bearing fruit with seeds, each according to its own type.” And so it was. 12The earth produced vegetation: plants bearing seeds, each according to its own type, and trees bearing fruit with seeds, each according to its own type. God saw that they were good. 13There was evening, then morning—a third day.
14Then God said, “Let there be lights in the sky to separate the day from the night. They will be signs and will mark religious festivals, days, and years. 15They will be lights in the sky to shine on the earth.” And so it was. 16God made the two bright lights: the larger light to rule the day and the smaller light to rule the night. He also made the stars. 17God put them in the sky to give light to the earth, 18to dominate the day and the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. God saw that it was good. 19There was evening, then morning—a fourth day.
20Then God said, “Let the water swarm with swimming creatures, and let birds fly through the sky over the earth.” 21So God created the large sea creatures, every type of creature that swims around in the water and every type of flying bird. God saw that they were good. 22God blessed them and said, “Be fertile, increase in number, fill the sea, and let there be many birds on the earth.” 23There was evening, then morning—a fifth day.
24Then God said, “Let the earth produce every type of living creature: every type of domestic animal, crawling animal, and wild animal.” And so it was. 25God made every type of wild animal, every type of domestic animal, and every type of creature that crawls on the ground. God saw that they were good.
26Then God said, “Let us make humans in our image, in our likeness. Let them rule the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the domestic animals all over the earth, and all the animals that crawl on the earth.”

27So God created humans in his image.
In the image of God he created them.
He created them male and female.

28God blessed them and said, “Be fertile, increase in number, fill the earth, and be its master. Rule the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that crawl on the earth.”
29God said, “I have given you every plant with seeds on the face of the earth and every tree that has fruit with seeds. This will be your food. 30I have given all green plants as food to every land animal, every bird in the sky, and every animal that crawls on the earth—every living, breathing animal.” And so it was.
31And God saw everything that he had made and that it was very good. There was evening, then morning—the sixth day.

If Adam was created in the image on God and Adams only son is Seth in his gemology in the bible are missing something in regards to who Adam and Seth are and why did the people start calling on the name of the Lord when Seth was born.

What am I suppose to see above? Are you referring to your "Adam and Seth" question? I am asking if the Genesis 1:1 beginning is the same at John's 1:1 beginning? If the answer is yes please explain how. If the answer is no, please explain why it's not. If your not sure please say so and I will be glad to explain my point.

Here's the point I am making that many people including Christians don't realize. Both Genesis 1:1 and John 1:1 start out the exact same way, "in beginning." The definite article has been supplied. The actual Greek is en-arche, that is, "in beginning." For clarity we will just say, "in the beginning."

The "In the beginning" of Genesis 1:1 is on "WHAT HAPPENED" in the beginning. The emphasis on the John 1:1 "In the beginning" is on WHO EXISTED "in the beginning." This means that John's beginning antecedes the Genesis 1:1 beginning. Which means as you rightly stated that the "Logos/Word/Jesus Christ" already existed before the creation of time and space etc. Does that make sense to you?

As to Adam and Seth I have no comment.

and why did the people start calling on the name of the Lord when Seth was born.
26 And as for Seth, to him also a son was born; and he named him Enosh. THEN men began to call on the name of the Lord.

6 Seth lived one hundred and five years, and begot Enosh.

It was at least a century AFTER Seth was born that “men began to call upon the name of the Lord”.

Yes we are on the same page there I pointed it out to a man who has been walking with God 60 years but has never seen the correlation how can that be possible?

Yes correct, I said it was when Seth who was born and they called on the name of the Lord but that was incorrect as it was Enosh as you mentioned.

Do you believe there could be something significant we could be missing regarding this we have the first martyr in Abel then Seth is born in his place and when he a son is born to himself people began calling on the name of the Lord.

Yes agreed Jesus is God and the messiah they are one , also the Holy Ghost we receive by faith is Jesus spirit the sprit of Jesus Christ also One with father and son

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”
‭‭John‬ ‭4:24‬ ‭

And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭

“Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the name of the father son and Holy Ghost in one is Jesus in Greek or Jeshua ( yeshua) in Hebrew the messiah is when God came and manifest himself in the flesh so we could begin to know him in Christ our Lord

it is certainly as you say it is just the Old Testament isn’t revealed it’s veiled and distant

“I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭45:23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

and when that is revealed we can see him for who he is

“But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭14:10-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2:10-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

he is the true God revealed and made known to those who believe the gospel

“And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus came to make God known to us his glory in the flesh was of the only begotten son but he is One with God forever always has been and will
Be

It’s when he’s made flesh that the sons glory shone that we can see God now

“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.”
‭‭John‬ ‭1:14, 18‬ ‭

The only way we can ever really
Know God , is to believe the gospel and the presentation of God they hold

“Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:17-18‬ ‭KJV‬

It seems it is quite possible or even probable that the first mention of the beginning i has only creation as its antecedent, while the reference in Joh is strictly the Maker.

I do not believe the beginning of the material existence has no beginning but I do believe our Maker has no beginning.

It does not occur to me there is a conflict at all, nor is there a direct correlation between the two.

Also, when Jesus Yeshua died for each of us, on the cross, His Blood was poured out, and when the centurion wanted to know if He had died, he pierced His Side with a spear and water flowed out.

If Adam was created in the image on God and Adams only son is Seth in his gemology in the bible are missing something in regards to who Adam and Seth are and why did the people start calling on the name of the Lord when Seth was born.
Since Abel was murdered by Cain, and Cain was banished from the presence of God, Adam's genealogy begins with Seth. The knowledge of God the LORD was available to all men at that time, and to call upon the name of the LORD was to be saved. It is significant to note that in Hebrews 11 Abel is mentioned as the man of faith, but there is no mention of either Adam or Seth.
