P
Look down from heaven, And see from Your habitation, holy and glorious. Where are Your zeal and Your strength, The yearning of Your heart and Your mercies toward me? Are they restrained? Doubtless You are our Father, Though Abraham was ignorant of us, And Israel does not acknowledge us. You, O Lord, are our Father; Our Redeemer from Everlasting is Your name. O Lord, why have You made us stray from Your ways, And hardened our heart from Your fear? Return for Your servants’ sake, The tribes of Your inheritance. Your holy people have possessed it but a little while; Our adversaries have trodden down Your sanctuary. We have become like those of old, over whom You never ruled, Those who were never called by Your name.
Woke up this morning to another rain day. I asked the Lord to give me scripture and this is what he shared.
I read this over and over and felt so sorrowful, so convicted, like when you hurt the feelings of someone you love without knowing.
It also gave me a better understanding of how God moves and works through his people. That his glory and strength can be found in his people...in us.
I can't help but relate this to the present day , and hang my head low in shame.
There are many here including myself who have taken a biblical stance to "wait upon the lord" to make the first move. Rightly so .
But by turning the pages of history and looking at the story of exodus the sea was parted by the Lord.
And it was by faith that the children of God walked through.
Im sure it was a sight to be seen like no other. I'm sure it was frightful and loud and by there own instincts o heck no we won't go. But by faith and step by step they trusted and over came there mortal carnal fear.
We as ambassadors of Christ, as priest, as evangelist of a empty tomb, as preachers of the gospel of peace must also start walking toward the way the Lord has directed, and by each step of faith regain the trust and confidence we once had in the Lord.
