social score doesnt seem any different from people judging how white and pale you are and how much you clothes cost. I know some magzines used to do this, they would stick a picture of a celeb next to other celebs standing there looking their best for the red carpet, and people would rate them on their outfits and hair.

if you got 10/10 you were totally approved of, but if you get got less than 7 there was more plastic surgery and wardrobe buying to do.

I'm 66 so that means I get twice as much as someone who is 33? If so, count me in.

US is starting to lean towards UBI, in a way. I just found out yesterday that the government will be sending out EBT cards (debit cards that can be used for food) to every child. Cards will be in the child's name and each card will have up to $408. Card will be refilled every month until the end of the year. At least, I think it's until the end of the year. Need to double check that part.

That, coupled with the early child tax credit that's being given every month, and I can see how parents could become dependent on Big Daddy Government instead of working for what they need to provide for their own families.

So your Universal Allowance idea may very well come true, Lanolin. It's starting over here in my country. Makes me a little leery that they're trying to buy my children under the guise of "helping".

You can always opt out if YOU dont want it, but you couldnt be a bully and stop others for accessing it. It wouldnt work that way.

The thing is there are 364 un-birthdays every year, 365 during leap years.

If it's free I don't see many choosing to opt out. Of course, there is no such thing as free money as there is always a cost that has to be paid.

anyway, for those of us who God is our Father, wouldnt He provide AND prepare us for good works to do? we dont need to earn our salvation anyway. We work it out. Which is different from saying well I did this and worked for it when God actually gave it to you. Unconditionally.

well that is why its on your birthday. Once a year you receive your allowance and it would be up to you to decide what to do with it, you could spend it all at once or make it last through the year. It wouldn tbe drip feed for every day or hour.

I pay my taxes when they are due. I don't want to loan the government money and it back at the end of the year. Especially at a negative interest rate.

A man who will not work goes hungry. A man who can not work deserves a meal.

Correction. Apparently this food card program is only for the state of Oregon.
