Have you ever just wanted to play the bad guy?

This thread makes me want to. We have 29 pages of the same thing over and over and over again. "Sex b4 marriage bad." "Sex before marriage is wrong." "Sex before marriage is a sin." etc.

TWENTY-NINE PAGES!!!!!

Like my man Corbin said,"She knows its a Multi-pass!"

29 pages.... and its not even a discussion, everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, is pretty much on the same page. No one is disagreeing with what is being said but, its become a bit like a broken record. If this discussion were a war, a line of people that stretches on for miles, would be spitting in the ashes of a city thats been utterly sacked to its foundations.

I'm left to wonder how much more beating this dead horse needs.

Perhaps I should just go and create a "Satan is Evil?" thread.

Liamson I think u are so right. It may be better if someone was to go and explain in more depth y it is wrong practically relating it to life. You know realting scripture to how a situation may affect you in real situations.

Obviously most Christians will say its wrong but how do we not do it? What makes us say no? If you have and regret it or have stopped why and how do you not do it again?

I think I'll start a new thread.

i say wait! i agree with some1 else's aready made statement. it adds ALOT of stress to the relationship and the Bible tells us its wrong. My body is for one man, and that is the man i marry!

I think your right.... The bible is very clear on this, and for good reasons. Having sex before your married ruins a relationship, and it causes undue stress. Once you pass that physical boundary and actually have sex, everything is different. Its no longer about you and your boyfriend or girlfriend its about sex, and you certainly cant base a healthy relationship on that.

I agree.Once sex gets into the mix, everything changes..I have a strong belief that holding off until marriage has alot of benefits and no worries. When you marry an on fire christian man/or woman and have sex it to me is classified as real because there is a godly commitment and you have now joined as one with the love of God.

1 corinthians 6:15-17
"Do you not know that your bodies are members of christ himself?Shall I then take the members of christ and unite them with a prostitute?Never!Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body?for it is said, the two will become one flesh. But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with him in spirit"

A man/or woman who can respect you and actually get to know you loves the Lord truly because in turn you can then see that they respect and want to get to know the Lord as well.We are set apart for a reason ,not to be of the world but to be different and glorify him and respect our bodies and his creation.

I say yes if you're if you're in a situation of "I'm commited" not "he's my last resort to lose my virginity" situation. But there is more to love then four bare legs in a bed. Sex isn't everything and shouldn't be the first thing on your mind, even if you love that person.

The bible says a big NO and it is better if it is skipped to not sin by premarital acts in all of society or much as possible/ the problem with our world is this very sin of premarital going on for many decades now [No judging to anyone at all]..Already this is a popular sin a long time And I know many are unsaved too. Destroyed marriages is the result or unwanted children. No wonder are world is in a mess. This may not stop soon, but it would be nice if it could. Imagine happy people in life because they wanted to be in honor and cleaner if not clean[ but this is only a dream now].

i mean im all for people waiting..but what happens if you then get married and the sex is either a) bad or b) you guys dont share the same ideas about sex?

At first I thought this was okay, but the more I started to read the Bible I realized that sex before marriage was a sin. This can be difficult for some people but if you have faith in God you know what is wrong and right.

In this world we are living in its so hard to find those people who wait but then what should one do? There is so much pressure.

That fact ^^ can in the mean time make us like a beautiful gemstone see..

sex before marriage is something GOd frowns upon, but as human as we are,we just give up to it.it brings this gap between God and mankind

people now are addicted to sex so much that they ignore what the bible say about sex before marriage. And the bible is the word of God meaning the Bible is GOd,and it speaks againt fornication, which is sex before marriage

Or maybe it's the guys we attract or are attracted to are perverts... there are many schools of thought on this one.

Let me share my story... I am married, and my husband was oly the 2nd person I ever dated. We dated for almost 5 years and we struggled a long time. I was raised very boundary-less. I had to create every boundary I had which wasn't many because I didn't have a clue what they looked like. My husband is a PK. However, sex was taboo in many ways for his family. They would talk about it, but not directly. For instance, his sex talk was a book thrown on his bed when he was a 11 years old. We began having sex after we had dated for about 8 months. We both knew it was wrong, but I was never really prepared with any practical steps to keep me away from sexual sin. I think my husband just didn't bother with committing to the practical steps because he never thought he'd even be presented with the opportunity to screw up. We both knew it was wrong, and we both began meeting with a very Godly couple (the college pastors) regularly. It was embarrassing, but for some reason these people made it very comfortable. We went through short seasons of success--some good weeks and some bad weeks. We prayed, we repented, but we just could figure out how to get out of this hole we'd dug ourselves into. About a year before we got married, we went to a conference with some members of our college group. It was something I had attended before, but I like to go to conferences so I convinced my bf at the time to go. There was a time of confession and God finally gave us the strength to withstand everything. I think, more or less, he gave it to me. My husband was not a bad a guy. He never would have forced a thing on me, but it took me being able to not go there and to stand up before we could find victory. And we did. We built up those boundaries and held to them for an entire year before we got married. We were given back our purity. God does redeem, but this is not a hole you want to find yourself. Trust me, it can and will catch you by surprise if you are not actively search for ways to avoid it.
Yes, it has caused problems for us, but God is bigger than all those problems. While we were still engaged, my sister-in-law (16 at the time) actually discovered our little secret. Don't even ask me how... The poor girl... However, she was mature enough to handle it, thank God. We had to sit down and have a very uncomfortable talk with his parents. We had their support, but trust me. That is not the way you want to find out. It was scary. It was dark. It was shameful and we both felt unworthy, but God has and will continue to redeem it.

Pre-marital sex is wrong, God Himself condemns it, but says that when it happens that couple should marry.
God also says that it is wrong to divorce, so if I have pre marital sex with one person, I am never allowed to have sex with anyone else (even if i am not married).

Deuteronomy 5:18 "You shall not commit adultery" - the word in Hebrew is נָאַף pronounced na'aph literally means "to go away" from your wife or person you have had sex with (We are not allowed to leave a person we have pre marital sex with, because the sex is considered marriage in GOD's eyes) see Matthew 19:6

Sex IS the Marriage. Mariage means becomming ONE...marying. it SHOULD be GOD ordained. I beleive that EVERY man out there has HIS missing Rib that GOD has put aside for him. and EVERY Woman, has her Home to be put back into. its how God set it up.

It would be the perfect match for THAT person. But humans are impatient and selfish, and just want to please themselves..and it ends up makign matters worse.

So Sex before marriage? NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seek the kingdom of GOD first. and All those thigns will be added.

Beleive me. I CRAVE my missing Rib. But i would rather please GOD then self. What one did IN THE PAST before he or she was a Chrsitian is done. Dead and Burried. Covered i nthe BLOOD of Jesus. We are NEW creations in Christ. So WHY would we now Go BACKWARDS and dissobey God?

God has the person you need, to be brought at the time you would need them. Just Seek JESUS. adn ALL will be done accordinly. Jesus bless you.

I'm 41 and ungodly sex has led to my torment. I used to think it was old fashioned to wait until marriage for sex, now I wish I had. If you can abstain, do it.

i mean im all for people waiting..but what happens if you then get married and the sex is either a) bad or b) you guys dont share the same ideas about sex?

Then you'll really have no "good" sex to compare to if you both abstained ;) Also, I think it's a good idea to discuss your "ideas" about sex before actually getting married.

We could get into all kinds of debates about this. But I think it really comes down to two questions:

1) Would God's perfect choice for your life be a complete sexual mismatch?

2) If you are head-over-heels for someone (as you ought to be for your hubby/wife), isn't that the best aphrodisiac of all?
