I fail to understand why the powers to be on this site...allows this type of thread.

It is weird, ridiculous and is inflammatory........ with no merit.

OK, the flow of the thread is meandering quite a bit. Deborah, as judge of Israel, was certainly in authority to rebuke men.
Werent there like 23 female ministers in one chapter of Romans? Pricilla, Aqua etc.

I thought Paul commented on deacons being dudes and not putting a female in authority over a male.

No Hungry, if you read the enlightening comments on this site, you'll quickly find out that Paul didn't mean that at all. He actually meant the opposite, and if you can't see that, then it's just because you're an evil man.

Wow, I wouldn’t equate misunderstanding to evil but I guess if someone doesn’t agree with you then to the bowels of Hell if their fate.

Sorry about having to drop the truth-bomb on you, but asking for permission to abuse women and treat them like dogs is evil. Jesus and His Word teaches just the opposite..

Galatians
3:26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

You should probably read 1 Timothy 1-2 before you go calling people evil. Saying woman shouldn’t teach and remain silent isn’t ambiguous. Deacons are helpers, not necessarily authoritative. For the record I don’t care if a woman issues a righteous rebuke. There are many here quite gifted at the art of correction. Granted many dudes are lacking in this. I do have an objection to anyone jumping up on their soapbox, accusing members of disgusting behaviour they are innocent of. Then using Scripture out of context to slander them unnecessarily. If that individual happens to use Scripture to validate her straw man arguments then I take the liberty to remind her of Scripture she is willingly and obviously defying. I’m not a misogynist. I didn’t make a comment based on thinking all women should be silent. I merely thought THAT woman should be silent.

I hate for you to get hit with your own truth bomb shrapnel but if that was true then all Christians are gender fluid. Are you promoting that dudes should identify as women based on your argument. That’s not what the verse is saying. I think people should base their views on what Scripture states. Unfortunately, most people choose their views and find random verses to prove their opinion. Perhaps we should all just stop this ridiculousness. I will leave you all to your opinions. Think what you want. Be blessed.
