One person died, a Trump supporter. They shouldn't have fallen for the set up, they shouldn't have gone in. But nothing happened at the Capitol that was as bad as what happened in the summer of 2020 and those people were bailed out by Hollywood with the VPs help. Frozen bottles and batteries were thrown at cops and whatever else they could get their hands on. And yet none of them are sitting in jail right now for burning buildings, beating/killing people in the streets and looting. When the Dems care about that, have investigations and bring them to justice we can talk about what happened at the Capitol.
If comes down to Marxism, you can bet there will be a civil war. And that is what radical Dems are pushing. Do some research.

When the Dems own up to the most destructive and expensive riots in the history of the country, the people that were killed, the businesses that were looted and burned to the ground then maybe we'll talk about a fake insurrection, with no weapons and the only person killed was a Trump supporter. The whole would saw that too! Own up to it and apologize, and more importantly than that have an investigation and bring those people to justice!!! smh
The whole show was contrived and the 'insurrection' committee is a total joke put on by loons in the Democratic party.

She was a Trump supporter, the only one killed. They aren't "actors" they are "acting". Of course they are real people but poor actors.
Your logic doesn't add up. A real person was shot and killed by the police. If the whole thing was fake why wasn't that officer brought up on murder charges? The answer is he can prove in court that he was defending himself against an angry mob

For pity sake, a reporter was saying the protests were peaceful with a building on fire behind his back!! Talk about disconnected from reality! Then they wanted to defund the police. Smart move! Didn't say it was fake, I said it was a set up. He didn't prove anything, no details have been given, no investigation. Miss Babbits husband has had to get a lawyer to find out what happened. There is a reason Pelosi didn't want Jim Jordan involved in the investigation.
Yes, it happened and we need to know who did it and why. I have video of the crowd listening to the speech, it is a 360 panorama taken from the middle of the crowd. No one, and I watched it frame by frame yesterday, no one was wearing riot gear as described by the cop. Now this crowd was by the White House where the speeches were and he was describing the Capitol building about a mile away so it is quite plausible and reasonable that we have two different groups, those who came to listen to Trump speak and those who came to riot.
By all means investigate, "drain the swamp" does not in any way imply that only Democrats are swamp creatures.

Correct. Did no one read the EYE-WITNESS ACCOUNT of two brothers who came to Washington, D.C. all the way from Texas, went to the main rally (which was far away from the Capitol), and then later on witnessed what really happened at the Capitol before heading home? They provided a detailed account to show that the majority of Trump supporters (and Trump himself) had absolutely nothing to do with what happened at the Capitol. And even there, it was neither insurrection nor riot. Just plain stupidity on the part of pranksters.
But Trump should have ANTICIPATED a false flag operation by the FBI and the Deep State on January 6, and he should have warned the world that there would be shenanigans in DC in order to distract from the real crime and fraud which happened on November 3 as well as January 6.
What is not being publicized is the fact that the Capitol police themselves ushered in the pranksters into the building by removing the barriers and opening the doors. Who ordered them to do so? Was it one of the Dems? Who ordered that police officer to murder Ashli Babbitt in cold blood? Along with the pranksters were the Deep State operatives, members of BLM paid by the media networks to enter and incite rioting, and others who were pretending to be Trump supporters but were in fact Leftists.
Had the Republicans in Congress and the Senate had any integrity and backbone, they would have been speaking out about Pelosi's fraud every day. This whole sham (and scam) about January 6th is to deflect attention from the very serious crime which was committed on that day. A fraudulent president was not stopped from defrauding the country of its rightful president.
And since January 6, the shameful and illegal mistreatment and torture of those few who entered the Capitol (but did not destroy property or kill or hurt anyone) has not been properly addressed by the feckless Republicans. In fact I expected Trump to make this ill-treatment of ordinary patriotic citizens his top priority, but that did not happen either.

that's a stretch. I did see some mention civil war and say they believe it is inevitable...but not in the sense you seem to imply

It wasn't a conspiracy, it was a set up. People should have been smart enough to see it and not get tangled in it. No body is downplaying anything. The only person killed was a Trump supporter. I didn't see any of these officers crying and boohooing when Rand Paul and his wife were mobbed and they threatened to rape her. I didn't see them with trembling lips when they tried to breach the WH and had to take President Trump to safety. I didn't see any Dem mourn David Dorns death or Lorenzo Anderson. There's nothing to downplay. You don't think if Trump had been back in WH there wasn't going to be violence to take the country back?! They weren't boarding up businesses because they were afraid of Trump supporters. Even Dems expected Trump to win. Don't hand me that bull. There's no way 3% Joe and 1% Kammy won an historical vote over the first black president, let alone Trump. Didn't happen!!
