This truly puzzles me. How could anybody believe there is no such thing as a christian tattoo or that tattoos are a sin. My little sister just got a bible verse tattooed on her. I think its super awesome.

Ive got Tattoos. I LOVE tattoos! Are you saying I need to repent? I want about 100 more tattoos. I think Jesus loves my tattoos. Im pretty sure when I get to heaven, Jesus isn't going to say "Dude, whats with all the tats? you ruined your body and you never apologized." ...... pretttttty sure Jesus is going to be all like "WOH! Thats a really cool back piece of me!"
Trust me, one day you will get a glorified body free of those tattoos. Christians are known for taking a thing of the world and “Christianizing” it to fit in.

11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

Not engrave it in our flesh...

Something very important to meditate upon. Come the resurrection we shall all be just like Jesus. We will not be He, but we will be just as He.

I believe He formed each of us just as He wants us to be here. It is not seemly to think we may improve upon His work, nor that any such action's result will be some kind of pride in the Kingdom, for He is our pride, never what we think of to do.

nicely said, He makes no mistakes.
Who are we serving? Who is our Lord, our own "wants" or His perfect leading?
I was touched by Jerry In Boston who mentioned "some thing inside" told him to not get one, that is often the leading of Holy Spirit and he followed that leading and didn't seek His own, "but I Like them" carnal, wordly desires, not everyone who claims to be Christian is truly Christian, but only those who do the will of the Father.

My husband just pointed out this scripture in Revelation. I know some see Revelation as figurative but I can see this as a possible literal description:

"And He hath on His vesture and on His thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS." Revelation 19:16

Does this sound like a tattoo to anyone else?

I mean, if he carves names into His hands (Isaiah 49:16) why couldn't he have a tattoo on his thigh?

it’s because people still look at the material and temporal things they are looking at what Moses said rather than what Jesus said

They are looking at this ancient law for the children of Israel

“Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the Lord.”
‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭19:28‬ ‭KJV‬‬

but what hey are missing is the tattoos that we allow On our soul they can only see the flesh not spirit these are the tattoos we need to avoid

“Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭6:12‬ ‭

if a tattoo person is walking in repentance and refusing satans tatoos for the soul we who have no tattoos and don’t want any , should learn to look at the person and thier soul rather than flesh we can look at the flesh and see the tattoos here

“Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:19-21‬ ‭

not seeing “ anyone who gets a tattoo is lost “ how we treat others is where God looks

True, though I hope that none responding to the OP expect an answer from him :D

Knowing he is banned is also useful information ;)

Ah, yes. That is useful. :D If they're trying to convince the OP well, that's a bit funny. There have been many times I haven't noticed the "banned" mark next to a name though.

Sometimes old threads getting bumped up are great for the nostalgic walks down memory lane that are inspired by seeing all the names of people who no longer grace our boards, whether they are banned, guests, or simply gone elsewhere... other times the boards are so old and the majority of posting members therein so long gone I have to wonder how in the world the thread was found... :giggle:

The question to respond to on this is Who put this name, and the motivation. I know God has not designed any tattos I have seen on peopple.
Know this. Although I ascribe to all I post here and previously, I could never condemn nor judge to such anyone with a tattoo. If they love Jesus Yeshua, they are family. I just pray they love me in Jesus also.

I found my post here with another which I did not assemble, so I deleted it and reposted here.

Now I do not know how that smiley got that way, so I will simply say good night from over here. All love in Jesus Yeshua, and may all be blessed in His perfect grace, amen.

marks put by God on people, I thought this was intetesting and I wanted to share, a tattoo may be the adversaries way of appropriating something that should be left to the Father, the devil only comes to steal kill and destroy.

I have heard of people who have had tattoos miraculously removed when they accepted Christ and made Him Lord, I have yet to hear of them appearing when becoming His.
I don't find this report credible. What would be the purpose of tattoos miraculous vanishing? Actually, I believe that once someone has been born again they are sealed with the Holy Spirit. Sort of an invisible tattoo.

I don't find doubt credible, neither does our Lord.
You didn't take it to the Lord but relied on your own understanding.
I have also seen a dead drunk completely restored, with no sign or smell of alcohol, nothing is too hard for the Creator of you, me and the universe.
When Holy Spirit comes in there is ALWAYS a change.

does He keep His scars?
are they for the sake of those who doubt, that they may be believing, not unbelieving - and can there be any doubt in that day?

i have heard of the appearing of marks :)
the LORD said unto him,
"
Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof."
(Ezekiel 9:4)
