Following God is like being led by a holy God into goodness. The law tells us how-to live in mansions with the Lord forever, and how to be great in those mansions. It tells us how to have a happy marriage and how to have joy and contentment in life. It even instructs on how to do well on our job. It guides every part of our life.

That guidance is perfect, it can be absolutely depended on. We are even given a spirit within to help us learn and do these things.

Which law? The ten commandments? They say nothing of mansions. The old covenant law likewise says nothing of living in mansions with the Lord forever. Perhaps you could identify the passage of Scripture where a law is given that tells us how to live in mansions with the Lord forever, as I'm not aware of any such passage.

Joh_14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

I do wish people would do their own scripture study!!!!

How is this verse "a law that tells us how to live in mansions with the Lord forever"?

I do wish people would do their own scripture study!!!!
And I wish people would not make unwarranted claims about the content of Scripture.

I state that God guides us with scripture, you object, as usual. Would you back up your opinion that God does not guide us? Christians often say that guidance is "law", you are using that to pick fault. Please back all this crap up.

If I may, the scriptures actually record that another guides us into all truth: John 16:13 "However, when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. For He will not speak on His own, but He will speak what He hears, and He will declare to you what is to come."

Furthermore, we are not under the Law of Sin and Death (which includes the 10 Commandments) we are under the Law of the Spirit of life.

Without this Spirit, we would not understand scripture, be unable to hear God, and would become subject to the Enemy who can skillfully recite the Bible (Matthew 4).

I guess I'm the same boat.. what law? Well when you say Gods law I think of the 613 laws. You do all of them.. you fail in one you fail in all.

Or are you talking about the 10 commandments. Maybe you mean just GODS word as a law?

Praise and magnify the Lord! We are not only guided with scripture but we are given an inner help to guide us. That is why entire nations have been uplifted when they accept God, and the way God within enhances all life when we follow God is like a miracle.

I know of one man who was alcoholic and loosing his family, but was cured in one morning when he accepted God within.

Hey Blade,

Assuming you're a USA citizen, USA has over 1 million laws that govern the nation. Do you follow them all?
Whether we follow the guidance of the Lord or decide not to follow it, whether we are under the law or under grace, has absolutely nothing whatever to do about whether the guidance of the Lord is good guidance or it isn't. This is looking at results of following the guidance of the Lord IF that is what you choose to do.

If you have a bad marriage and it could be made good by following the advise the Lord gives about marriage, then whether God forgives sin, whether we are under law or grace, none of this matters in the least. What matters is if following the Lord's guidance would fix the marriage or whether it would not.

Moses words or Jesus words ? the example of marriage

Moses words

“When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house.

And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife.”
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭24:1-2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus questioned about this

“And he answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you? And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away.

And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.

But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

And in the house his disciples asked him again of the same matter. And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her. And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭10:3-12‬ ‭

so what’s the law pertaining to marriage and divorce ?

“The Lord is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable.

Who among you will give ear to this? who will hearken and hear for the time to come?”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭42:21, 23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Moses word or Jesus word ?

Moses word of equal revenge

“Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, Burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.”
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭21:24-25‬ ‭

Jesus word of life

“Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:38-39‬ ‭

of Christ Jesus word it is written well
After Moses spoke

Hearken unto me, my people; and give ear unto me, O my nation: for a law shall proceed from me, and I will make my judgment to rest for a light of the people.

My righteousness is near; my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge the people;

the isles shall wait upon me, and on mine arm shall they trust.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭51:4-5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

And as Moses himself witnessed of the latter word to come

“But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled. Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

For Moses truly said ( Deuteronomy 18:15-19) unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.

Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭3:18-19, 22-24‬ ‭

the gospel right ?

Again, how is a statement about what Jesus is going to do in any way "a law that tells us how to live in mansions forever"?

It's a simple question. Instead of answering it, you go on the attack. That is "crap," as you so crassly put it.

These things relate more to the laws about marriage, and what we are looking for is guidance from the Lord for having a happy marriage. Ephesians gives great advice.

Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it 26That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. 28So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. 29For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: 30For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. 31For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

I want to discuss guidance the Lord gives us and you don't want to discuss it, so for goodness sakes let it be. Just please please go away.

If you can demonstrate, from Scripture, that Jesus' statement about what He will do is in any way "guidance" for believers, then I will leave you alone for this thread.

In the meantime, I will continue to challenge your misunderstanding of Scripture in the hope that you will come to know Jesus and relate to Him by faith rather than by law.

Having faith in and following the guidance of the Lord leads, not only to salvation but to successful joyful living on earth. I can only hope posters agree with that and don't listen to the objections to it.

Even one verse like Phil. 4:8 telling us what to think about has the power to change lives if it is followed.
