So no, not all of the immigrants come from the rich and powerful in their nations, and those that do usually don't show up in the groups of poor immigrants that need basic help.

Agency will take you to another country for a "job" and take your costs out of the money you earn in the future. Plenty of rich people willing to take advantage of the poor and vulnerable. You can work off your debt to me, and I'll let you know when your debt is paid off is a common tactic for modern day slavery. None of the verses actually state "you must help the foreigner". The only order insisted is not to oppress or turn them into slaves. But it never says you should actually help them specifically.

My behavior does not constitute a violation of those laws at all. I dont oppress or take advantage of foreigners. I just ignore them as if they did not exist. And Im 100 percent sure there is no law in the Bible stating "you should not ignore the foreigner and it is mandatory to help and assist them in order to ascend to heaven". And with "treat them like native-born Israelites" it doesnt necessarily mean helping them, because I dont help a native citizen just for being a native citizen. It mostly means not treating them like a possession.

An example of a violation of the laws you mentioned was if I persecuted and arrested a foreigner just for being a foreigner and trapped him inside my home turning him into my own slave. But if I just walk, Im commiting no offence. I have my own family to help as well. Otherwise, search and tell me where it states "you should give bread to the foreigner" specifically denoting this said group.

And lets not comment on the ambiguity of the term "foreigner"... in biblical times, residents of other towns or villages were considered foreigners, so could we apply that term in this aspect to for example, a native Finn who lives in a different town / region from mine ?
