further, if someone goes back in this old resurrected thread, I am sure they will find every argument that can be made for keeping Saturday and every answer that refutes it

no one said one single thing about taking anything out of the Bible. please do not add to what others say

but you do need to understand the Bible properly and the fact that the Old Testament is the foundation for the new

Jesus is our High Priest and His blood is sufficient to cleanse us from all sin. we are not judged on what day we worship and we are not judged on keeping special days. we do not sacrifice animals, which is an integral part of keeping the commandments and 613 laws so specializing in keeping just one law is nonsense
If you say that only certain books are valid in the Bible, then you're basically saying the rest don't matter and are effectively taking things away from it.

nonsense because there is no if and we both know I did not say that and neither did anyone else

stop dodging and trying to change what people say. you did the same thing in the other thread. you would not answer what I addressed but insisted whites are racist and privileged

I'm really not liking what you have to say so far. you are objecting to things no one said. that is quite disingenuous

guess we'll see how things go. adding to what people say and changing what people say and ignoring what people say is never a good way to converse

Grandpa, post: 3670546, member: 93985"]Hebrews 4:1-11
1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
5 And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.
6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
7 Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

You can't do both. You are either given Rest and cease from your work or you continue to look to the law and work at that to try and gain Righteousness before God.

We are told explicitly that it is not by working at the law that makes us righteous. Even though it seems like a contradiction to the natural man.

"mailmandan, post: 3670645, member: 193497"]Sabbath keeping with all it's rules and regulations, was part of a covenant with Israel (Exodus 16:23, 29; 31:12-18; 35:1-3; Leviticus 19:30; 23:2-3, 32; Numbers 15:32-36; 28:1-10; 29:39-40; I Chronicles. 23:30-31; II Chronicles 31:2-4; Isaiah 1:13; Amos 8:5; Nehemiah 10:31) that is not binding on Christians under the New Covenant.

*Colossians 2:16 - Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day 17 things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ.

Hebrews 4:9 - So there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God.

SABBATISMOS (4520), a Sabbath-keeping, is used in Heb. 4:9, R.V., "a Sabbath rest," A.V. marg., "a keeping of a Sabbath" (akin to sabbatizoµ, to keep the Sabbath, used, e.g., in Ex. 16:30, not in the N.T.); here the Sabbath-keeping is the perpetual Sabbath rest to be enjoyed uninterruptedly by believers in their fellowship with the Father and the Son, in contrast to the weekly Sabbath under the Law.

and here is another from a current member....post 13

see, as these are current members, what they say is valid and they can still reply

I am a Seventh-day Adventist and the mark of the beast hasn't been administered yet. If these people continue to worship on Sunday in the end times then yes, that would be true.

I never said whites are racist. I said only whites can be racist because they're the only race that isn't a minority, but that doesn't mean other people and races can't discriminate against them.

Everything I have said here is from the Bible, I am not adding to the Bible, I am only stating what it says. Everything is there, if you don't agree with it then great. I'm not trying to say that if you don't agree with me then you're evil or whatever, I'm only stating biblical facts. You can believe whatever you want to believe, I'm not condemning you for that, I'm only stating what the Bible says. Peace and love to you all, God bless all of you.

so as we will continue to worship on Sunday and all other days, then it is your opinion that we will accept the mark of the beast

that is what you are taught?

This is what I study in the Bible. I read it for myself. If it is in the Bible, then I believe it.

As I've said countless times, this video explains it in depth.

your remarks are in plain type

I don't know if this thread is referring to American children being taught about slavery and white privilege, but if is then I think that those things should definitely be taught. As a black person myself, I see white supremacy quite a bit in our society, and students should learn about their country's history no matter how dark it is.

so what do you consider as white supremacy then if not racist?

Just because some American states fought against slavery, it doesn't mean that racism doesn't exist. Look at George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and countless numbers of black people who have been killed for doing nothing because they are black.

so you are saying then, that whites are racist or the above would not have happened because they were killed only because they were black (white people are not black of course)

I'm simply saying that racism is real, and so is white privilege.

so you are saying whites are racist and white privilege is a thing you believe in

I am not blaming anyone for my problems, I'm only saying that racism exists and that it's prevalent

and I said blacks are also racist against whites...but it is plain you did say whites are racist

to be fair and to read these remarks in context, just click. but read what I wrote also and how what I wrote was ignored[/QUOTE]

I never said anything about white supremacy. I have never labeled, and will never label people as racist. I only believe that the people who committed these things were acting on racial prejudices. Just because I say racism is real, it doesn't mean that all whites are racist. It just means that some are, just like a lot of people from other ethnicities are discriminatory as well. I do believe that white privilege is real from personal experience and what I've seen in the world.

If you don't agree with my opinions, fine by me. I'm only stating them because this is a forum and that's what I'm free to do. If you want to discuss this more then we discuss it on the forum about "wokeism" and what not. If you don't want to, that's also fine by me. God bless you sister and have a great day.

I quoted your posts wherein you did exactly those things

think I will leave you to your musings
