Many teach the dry bones vision of Ezekiel 37 is the restoration of the nation of Israel. I have a completely different take on this story as I see this story represents the resurrection. Your comments appreciated:

If people who understand would only go to the effort of learning some of the full translations of certain key words in the Word they ould know it is a reference to the resurrection.

If this is not good enough, people should at least do a comparison with what is called Israel today and the one of the Covenant under the law given Moses.

Isral may be translated as prince with El or Ruling with El..............the Body of Yeshua.

I believe there are different aspects of this vision. First is the natural, the nation of Israel. We've seen the fulfillment of that. As some said, it applies also to the lost who are dead in trespass and sin. Last, I believe it relates to the reformation. Real Christianity almost ceased to exist under Catholicism. God always has a faithful remnant even in the darkest times. But the reformation broke the control of Catholicism and the true church began to arise again.

Outwardly there are a lot of problems with division and false doctrines. It's hard to find the loving unity that Christ commanded us to have. God has a different perspective. The Church is the glorious, victorious and overcoming Bride of Christ. Lord Jesus is building His church. No matter what problems we see, Lord Jesus will take care of everything and everyone who is His.

a few things to note

Then He said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. They indeed say, ‘Our bones are dry, our hope is lost, and we ourselves are cut off!’ 12 Therefore prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. 13 Then you shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up from your graves. 14 I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the Lord, have spoken it and performed it,” says the Lord.’ ”

1 this is the house of Israel. Not the church
2. He is speaking of returning them to their land. Israel is the only people who were promised land, And he gives the reason.
3. When they see it happen. They will Know God did it. This makes no sense concerning the rapture or ressurection

continuing

say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Surely I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel, his companions; and I will join them with it, with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they will be one in My hand.” ’ 20 And the sticks on which you write will be in your hand before their eyes.

21 “Then say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Surely I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, wherever they have gone, and will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land; 22 and I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king over them all; they shall no longer be two nations, nor shall they ever be divided into two kingdoms again.

4. Israel is seen here as two nations. We know from the OT, The northern kingdom (israel) and the southern kingdom (judah) were decided. We also know Israel was defeated by Assyria because of her sin, and in AD 70 Judas was defeated and removed completely from her land by Rome.
5. He said he will take them from the lands they were in (because of the scattering as James called it in James 1) and bring them together
6 He said he would make them one nation AGAIN. This can only reference to National Israel as they are the ONLY nation which was split

23 They shall not defile themselves anymore with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions; but I will deliver them from all their dwelling places in which they have sinned, and will cleanse them. Then they shall be My people, and I will be their God.

24 “David My servant shall be king over them, and they shall all have one shepherd; they shall also walk in My judgments and observe My statutes, and do them. 25 Then they shall dwell in the land that I have given to Jacob My servant, where your fathers dwelt; and they shall dwell there, they, their children, and their children’s children,

7. Again showing they were scattered because of there sin (see leviticus 26 which was fulfilled in the scattering)
8. It says when they return they will have repented and no longer commit their sins for which they were scattered
9 It says they will be back in THERE OWN LAND.

I think if we study this with other passage of scripture. This can only be refering to the restoration of Israel as prophesied in the last days.

there it is right there....Israel

I don't suppose harm is done if someone wants to see it another way...but don't teach it that way....keep it in context :)

Of course it was given to Israel, how do you suppose the Pharisees had a understanding of the resurrection and taught it,it came from the scriptures and the prophets. Remember not all priestly groups of the Sanhedrin believed in the resurrection such as the Sadducees

Two-Fold Prophecies have been more common lately.

And [Dry Bones] coming back together have obvious Prophetic meanings that not always represent one single Event.

But Israel 1948 and 1967 as a Nation recognized State, has to be a major part of this Prophecy!

two fold? Not sure what you mean here can you explain.

In my view, 1948 and 1967 is not even close. (maybe just a start?) It did have to happen for many OT prophecies to be able to be completed, they still need to build the temple.. which could start any day from what I am hearing

It is my firm belief that the covenant with Israel will be the permission granted to allow building of the temple and this is the beginning point of the tribulation-day 1

Called to Be a Priest (1)

“[You] have made us kings and priests to our God.” Rev 5:10 NKJV
John writes, “For You…have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, and have made us kings and priests to our God” (vv. 9-10 NKJV). Since you’re called to be a “priest,” let’s see what that involves: They ministered in three different levels of light. Picture the Old Testament tabernacle. The priests spent most of their time with the people in the outer court, which was illuminated by daylight. They spent less time in the inner court, where a seven-branched lampstand, referred to as a menorah, illuminated the shewbread on the table. Then once a year the high priest would go into the Holiest of Holies, where the light of God’s presence was so intense it was referred to as the “Shekinah.” So when God calls you to minister, you’ll spend most of your time in the outer court meeting people’s needs. Sometimes you’ll go into the inner court where the light of God’s Spirit illuminates His Word and gives you something to say that’s worth hearing. But in times of crisis when human wisdom won’t solve the problem, you’ll have to go into the Holiest of Holies and receive the kind of light that only comes from God Himself. And people will know you’ve been there because, like Moses, when you come out they’ll notice something different about you. Being a priest is a high calling. But God has called you to it, and if you’re willing to pay the price you can carry a sense of His presence with you wherever you go.

guess what...don't wait for an explanation you can understand here either. I've certainly tired to understand a few things he says and the explanation is worse than the original

when it comes to prophecy, it seems things crawl out of the woodwork

It is in the Book.

since you capitalized the word book, I guess you have a private revelation from the Bible... probably referring to the beast and or the anti-Christ

when people go all spooky and say things directed only at those who share their 'findings', it makes me want to go BOO!

This may be true. But Israel can build the temple today with no agreement, They are looking at that right now
