I

Does this make sense for you? And there are many requirements I must meet, like reading the books first. .
God wants you to be a part of His family.
He has created a way to join, ..to become a part of His family.

Here is what is keeping you out..

Your SIN.
So, you have to get that taken care of.....and you can't take care of it....... yourself.

So, Jesus the Lord came here to take care of your sin.........to forgive you for them all, and God offers this forgiveness of SIN, as a GIFT.
Its free.
God will freely forgive you, of all your sin, if you will trust in Jesus and receive Him as your personal Savior.

Being SAVED, is what God provides for you......as a Gift of Love.
All who call on the name of Jesus......all who will recognize they need to be FORGIVEN of their sin, are UNDERSTANDING why Christ died on the Cross.......for YOU.
If you have this understanding, then now is the day of Salvation, now is the time to BELIEVE IN JESUS from your heart.
If you will do this, God will take you as His SON, forever.
You can then die in peace, knowing that God has you as His own, and will never let you go.

Thank you very much, nice and encouraging, but I am orthodox of some sorts, so that is not enough for me. I came from a place of no faith ever, and really wanted religion banned. And I came to it an unconventional manner, which put me on the old school christianity path. Meaning I am basically a munk now., my home is my monostary, and I do not let sinners in, and cannot associate with them.

Started watching a funny minister of a black church online. Came for the jokes and funny sayings, stayed for the common sense and truth, the word. Then some modern day apostles. That lead me to the orthodox stuff, with the apostles of the apostles. That lead me to start reading the bible. Which lead me to being marked by the holy spirit, as I believe. And protected from the devil on this earth for now. But I must do some more steps, before I can ask to enter the pearly gates. So, I better not die yet, because if I do, I believe that would mean I will be sent to hell. It does not bother me, I have no fear of that.

But, seeing as my health is not top notch, and there is a virus that many have died of, I should readd all the books I need quite swiftly, so I can do step 3. I might of course read something that changes my mind, but I doubt it.

Yep your really good at expressing your thoughts

but this is a Bible discussion forum do you think the Bible can teach you anything just a note the “ covenant of the cross “ isn’t in scripture, it’s something people thought up and spread around and then people repeated it but it was never doctrine

the death of Christ for sins , removes the sinner from the law the final
Punishment of the law was death and then sometimes as a warning for sin a man was hanged upon a tree as a warning to instill fear in unspiritual people this process ended the person under the law and left thier soul cursed

“And if a man have committed a sin worthy of death, and he be to be put to death, and thou hang him on a tree: His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day; (for he that is hanged is accursed of God;) that thy land be not defiled, which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.”
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭21:22-23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the person was put to death for the many various sins like picking up a stick on a sabbath.(numbers 15:32-38) when the sinner died the law has no more word for the dead man death ended them Under the law ot never touched on the resurrection life it ends at death for that sinner who died

that’s the end of Moses law even Moses ended the same way under his own law he also died and went to rest in the dust. Every person who loved under the law died without forgiveness left in that accirsed state of a sinners soul Jesus did this for us

“For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them. Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:10-14‬ ‭

what that means is this

“Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭6:3-4, 6-7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

you don’t then go back to the knowledge of sin Romans 3:20, made for these people ?

“Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;”
‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭1:9-10‬ ‭

Christians aren’t in that group anymore we died within Jesus already through baptism and that means

“Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭7:4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

we’re not going to find righteousness in the law but without it we can like the law and prophets foretold all along

“But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭3:21-22‬ ‭KJV‬‬

You find righteousness in the gospel of the kingdom not the law of Moses for sinners the gospel for Gods children

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:33‬ ‭KJV‬‬

he made it available to all until the end of the world so no One is without excuse

“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

but you will
Find the apostles deciding that Moses law wasn’t New Testament doctrine it’s what brought us tonthe New Testament

If you can't teach correct faith, then you dont understand it.
Thats you.

See, you have this idea that Jesus's blood and your behavior is a "partnership" ...... that when combined, = Born again.

Here is your false gospel,..........>"The Cross + my works, = "im saved".

That's heresy, as your LEGALISM continues to deny the finished work of Jesus as THE Blood Atonement, which is all God provides to redeem.
Jesus said "I AM THE WAY".......and your way is....."MY DEEDS ALSO".
That’s what is taught you can’t hear it ot doesn’t make another person wrong because you refuse to hear it the blood of Christ can go two ways based on how we treat it we can do this accepting his judgement

“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭1:7-10‬ ‭

you are erasing what’s there the “ of we do this part “ that’s sad because there’s another way the blood of Christ worls when we refuse the truth of the “ if we do this or that part that’s absolutely there and absolutely clear

“For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10:26-31‬ ‭

it definately matters how we treat Christs blood it can save us if we walk in the light of truth or can condemn us worse than Moses law ever did if we treat it as if it is an excuse to remain in sin and not repent and begin doing what we’re made to do

I think salvation is to believe on Jesus and receive him. I think of salvation as coming to Jesus and entrusting your eternity to him.

The good works one may do are not in my view a good measure to know if one is saved or not. Both believers in Jesus and people who don’t believe can do good things.

I have heard one needs to accept Jesus as both Savior and Lord. However it may be that one may accept Jesus as their Savior and as one grows in love for the Savior, that out of that growth in love for Jesus comes the desire to follow him more closely.

it matters if we’re infants , teens , or adults in Christ. Babies have no burden or weight to bear , they are carried on thoer daddy’s shoulder fed and cared for cleaned and then eventually they begin to be taught how to grow up and become older children , they still don’t have a job and don’t carry the burdens but , unlike babies the children begin to learn about chores and responsibility morals and virtues

things they need and any good father will teach them the way they should go and the way that is dangerous, it’s not a good father to let his children grow in ignorance they will be ill prepared for the life ahead when they become adults

but when we become adults , of we are living like babies and refusing to clean our bedroom and throwing fits and always rebelling yet , we’re fourty now then we can’t keep pretending we’re babies and have no work to get done

it’s a Matter of growing up because I’m the end all of those warnings about continuing in the world of the flesh are true also as much as everything else is true

“This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:16-21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

if we don’t allow for gods warnings about sin and death we’re repeating adams mistake that lead to this terrible situation sinners are in and Christ isn’t going to die again formoir sins we eventually have to lay hold of the mind of Gods growing up children and that only happens when we let the truth in of the warnings

it’s not the father saying “ if you do anything wrong I will destroy you “

it’s the father saying “ unless you repent you also are surely going to perish “

Gods not trying to destroy us but trying to save us from the devils trap inside our flesh he’s warning us that we need to grow up and start walking babies eventually take steps and soon they walk good eventually thoer legs and balance becomes sturdy but we can never explain to the children there’s nothing to grow up into or that Gods warnings aren’t true

But it's in the actual receipt of Christ's righteousness into our lives that constitutes "receiving Christ's grace."
More precisely, it is the actual receiving of Christ Himself into our souls and spirits (Rev 3:20). The Lord Jesus Christ expects us to not only believe on Him and in Him, but to receive Him personally as Lord and Savior.

But as many as received Him [Christ], to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (John 1:12,13)

Christ must be received into our hearts by faith as both Lord and Savior (Romans 10). This results in (1) justification by grace through faith, (2) the gift of eternal life, (3) the imputed righteousness of Christ, (4) forgiveness of sins, (5) the gift of the Holy Spirit.

It is the New Birth which produces the "new creature" in Christ. And this new person has already repented of all his sins and idols, and surrendered himself to the Lord Jesus Christ. Which then causes him to live righteously, soberly, and godly in this present world.

“The Lord Jesus Christ expects us to not only believe on Him and in Him, but to receive Him personally as Lord and Savior.”

“And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭6:46-49‬ ‭KJV‬‬

his teachings in the gospel teach this

“For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;”
‭‭Titus‬ ‭2:11-12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

this is where we learn about denying sin and lists of the world , and to live right

“It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.”
‭‭John‬ ‭6:45‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus doctrine is where it’s all sourced

I do not see good works as being unimportant in the Christian life just that it is not a good measurement to judge one’s salvation on.

Nehemiah, what is your thoughts on receiving Jesus as Lord after salvation? May one receive Jesus as Savior at first and then as one grows in love for Jesus submit to him as Lord out of love for Jesus? Do you receive Jesus as Lord before or after being saved?

All good points. I really don't want to put too much on someone who is sharing the Gospel, but what good is a watered down Gospel in which people aren't sure of what the commitment entails? I want to see less top-heavy preaching where one pastor does all the teaching and more opportunities for converts, including new converts, to speak and share with the church their conversion experience.

Average Christians need to learn how to speak about their faith, and opportunities need to be made for them to get practiced in it. And in the process, true and clear teaching can come out of this, even if it affords the opportunity for imperfections.

Christians need to learn how to speak about their faith intelligently, which will ensure that they have really received the Gospel. We can't just leave it to pastors and evangelists to share the Gospel. As you say, they don't always do a good job. And they need feedback too!

If only the leaders in a church share the Gospel, all of their flaws will be communicated too. The Gospel will not be completely successful until the rank and file learn to speak and to live the Gospel, as well!
I have similar thoughts on the matter. Elders are to be 'ensamples to the flock.' Many church leaders present evangelistic messages that are light on actual gospel, and other people in the church emulate them.

I do not see good works as being unimportant in the Christian life just that it is not a good measurement to judge one’s salvation on.
ultimately however it’s how Jesus will judge us is the thing not what I myself want but it’s just what’s there

“Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; Who will render to every man according to his deeds: To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;

But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: For there is no respect of persons with God.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭2:4-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

now I agree that is terrifying , but my point is it’s not untrue it’s consistently taught in scripture

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:10-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

again it’s terrifying but it’s still true and there

“Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:28-29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This is consistent throughout but the good news is we can do this and be saved from that jidgement and repent now and get in line with the judgement by believing the gospel and having our sins remitted so when we die , we are dying in Christ and not in sin

once we receive remission we’re not going to have to answer for that it’s as if we haven’t sinned God has cast our sins away and they aren’t remembered because we heard the truth beforehand and repented before we entered into the veil of death we can do this and live

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

so we don’t have to be judged with the dead in the end who reject the gospel

“I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.”
‭‭John‬ ‭8:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

But if we on the other hand believe the gospel of Jesus Christ we are going to die in the lord and have no sins to answer for

I’m the end our deeds is what we’re going to be judged by , if we repent and get baptized we’re going to have our sins remitted beforehand and our judgement will be based on the good we have done and. Ot the sins we left behind in repentance

it truly is how Jesus is going to jidge mankknd by thier deeds whether good or bad according to his gospel, that’s why this is true now if we accept and believe we’re accepting the final judgement

What we do becomes more important as we grow just like in life the elder has a responsibility that the younger does. Not

I’m not really disagreeing , because there’s a way out which is probably why you don’t see it as a good measure of salvstion , we do come to a point where we’re pressed forth into works by God because that’s what saves us whether they be sinful works pressed upon us by the devil or good works imparted by faith hearing Christ what we do with the gift were given is ultimately our end or glory

“What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭6:15-17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

@Pilgrimshope , I have some reasons for saying good works are not a good measure to tell if one is saved.

One reason is because both believers in Jesus and people who don’t believe can do good things.

Another issue is when one looks to oneself for salvation instead of depending on Jesus. Say if one thinks they need earn salvation on some level by good deeds. One may feel pride one moment when feeling like they “ did a good job” a particular day but insecure the next moment when they sin.

Salvation is ultimately of God. We do not have to perform to have God’s approval. Knowing God’s love and receiving his love can lead to more love for God I believe and lead to a desire to do his will.

I was raised with the Lutheran truth that we can be saved, as Christians, through grace, and not have to perform in any way to qualify for this salvation. There is no law we have to meet, and no endurance record, not litmus test, to qualify us for getting through the pearly gates.

And I do think Luther was a prince of this concept of grace, just as Paul was. We can never satisfy the requirements of the Law of Moses to get into heaven. We are all flawed people.

But many raised in the Protestant churches today have missed what being born again means. I believe in his doctrine of grace Luther taught the need to be reborn. I believe he himself experienced a profound personal transformation, the same time that he learned about grace.

Today, many just think "accepting Jesus as Messiah" fulfills the requirement of accepting grace. But it doesn't. True grace comes when we accept Jesus' righteousness into our lives.
We can't earn that righteousness, but we can certainly abandon our old ways for a new way of life in Jesus' righteousness. This is the transformation required to get into heaven.

Accept grace by accepting Jesus' righteousness, and learn to put it into action. We need not be perfect, but we need to know what Jesus' love is, and to practice it, as evidence that we have truly received it.
Protestantism is just an offshoot of Catholicism. In fact, the word protestant was coined by the Catholic religion to describe someone who is protesting the Catholic religion. Religions, all of them, are born of men and cannot be trusted and are not of God.

God does not call us into repentance, if we are born again.
He calls us into VICTORY.

God delivers us from sin.

If we are living in repentance, then we are living as confessing sin, repenting......
That is not Christianity, that is religion trying to do right to be accepted.
Salvation is to exist in the Grace of God, being made righteous.
We are to live here....>"The righteousness of God in Christ", as that is who we have become, as a Son of God and and Daughter of Christ.

There is a cult that teaches....."we are to live a life of repentance", and hopefully you are not a part of that one.
Your response to me, should inform us if you are........of that Cult.
Religion versus the born again.

Nehemiah, what is your thoughts on receiving Jesus as Lord after salvation? May one receive Jesus as Savior at first and then as one grows in love for Jesus submit to him as Lord out of love for Jesus? Do you receive Jesus as Lord before or after being saved?
Sorry to butt in, butt Jesus is the way, the teachings. You miss the boat if he does not point you onto God after that. The new testament points to the old testament, that people did not get. Jesus was the metaphysical creation of God, him showing us the test of faith to the max, and why it is worth such pain and torment. In the figure of Jesus, God showed you how to endure pain, no matter how painful, to point you to heaven, and seek God. People masy disagree, and tell me I am wrong, but this is how I understand it.

We have some issues, Jesus is the third most prayed to person in the bible, maria and one other before him, so this seems like people are afraid of direct adress. Jesus should be at nr 1, if that is how people feel. But for me, who is new, God is nr 1. Jesus is God incarnate, and points to God. God is Jesus, but his name is God. Go to the source, not through others. Ask God for help if you need help, testify to God if you testify, no proxies. Unless you have some very important figures in the book, that speaks to you. Do not be afraid to do the direct routhe. Scripture I have read, tells me that I must seek God, and do it honestly with him. I believe I am understanding it correct, but do not know for sure. But when I will pray, I will pray directly to God. I might ask for guidence and strength from apostles and saints, but my first prayer will be to God.

Luther was brilliant in his understanding both of grace and the bondage of the human will.

I was raised a Lutheran, but I'm respectful of the Catholic position, if I understand it correctly. There are a few good Lutherans left, but most that I've known have lost their spiritual life. So they have doctrine and platitudes. Other Christians from other persuasions believe in "accepting Christ as Savior," but that has become for many a shallow commitment to the Christian religion, rather than death to the old man in favor of the new man created in Christ, the "New Birth."

Your own formula sounds shallow--I mean no disrespect. This is what I hear all the time--"It's nothing we do." What on earth does that mean? Of course it's something we do! We embrace grace as the basis of our justification. But it's in the actual receipt of Christ's righteousness into our lives that constitutes "receiving Christ's grace." How can you receive his grace without doing anything?

James 2.17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

The point is, you better know what accepting justification by grace means. It means that in order to be forgiven you have to be willing to live in righteousness. And that righteousness comes from Christ, in partnership with the choices we make. It is not all Christ, nor is it all us. It is a partnership, with the atonement coming strictly from Christ.

I hope this helps? There is a better vocabulary that exists to describe what I'm distinguishing, but I can't recall the terms just now.
you are co-redemptor with Christ then ...

I think you are confusing what mankind looks at as good works and what God says are good works how does an non believer doing a good work mean good works according to the scripture doesn’t apply ? I’m not understanding the correlation there Jesus taught what your saying but notice what Jesus is teaching his disciples

“For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them. And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same. And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.

But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭6:32-37‬ ‭KJV‬

It’s what the gospel has to say sister those are the good works that matter your correct sinners who don’t believe sometimes lend and get repaid to thier friends they buy things for people they like give gifts and be cordial they help one another sometimes ect but those are worldly things the gospel is Gods word

we want the doctrine he’s saying makes men the children of God you are confusing the world with the kingdom of God and the works of the gospel
Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:”

good works in Christ don’t look like the world it’s true atheists do random things that appear as kindness or a “ good work “ , but I guarantee you Christians are those walking in the good works prepared beforehand in the gospel and you won’t find non believers walking in the gospel they may appear to the eye as “a good person “ but then again Satan does that also he can pretend to be kind and friendly and even oresent himself as a friend but his word will always make what we do not important and gods word will always make what we do very important

there’s an illusion in the world dear sister Jesus taught that sinners are good to other sinners , but the children of God follow the doctrine of Christ

“Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.”
‭‭2 John‬ ‭1:9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus teachings are immense and go deeper as we study , this results in the works of Christ , that’s what we’re going to be judged by not moses word I repeat not moses word but Christs teachings full of grace and truth

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2:10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

eventually we need to not measure another persons salvation by their works I agree there , but we need to examine our own selves to see where we are according to our deeds , this doesn’t remove faith , it creates faith to make us grow as we persevere in the word

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭1:16-17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

we persevere and go from one glory to the next growing up becoming fruitful so we aren’t cast into the fire as unfruitful branches

It’s a process a life long one

“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

but we have to forst accept that our actions need desperately tomchange toward God

“But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭26:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

this is the best advice

“This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.”
‭‭Titus‬ ‭3:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

that good and faithful saying is hindered sometimes when we make it not important or not necassary or something we shouldn’t pay close attention to but notice he didn’t say be careful to judge others by their deeds and good works he’s saying when we believe in Christ we need to make our deeds an important part of our faith

I don’t understand your post completely but if I am understanding correctly , do you pray to the apostles and saints but first pray to God and then the apostles and saints?
