If smoking ciggerettes was around at the time of Jesus would it have been classed a sin

What's the point of a buffet if you aren't going to gorge yourself? Just order a regular meal. I don't think he is justifying smoking, just pointing out the obvious hypocrisy. How about just don't judge anyone for what they eat, drink or smoke. It is not your concern.

that is your understanding not everyone does that LOL. There is no hypocrisy but more self-righteousness. The post in my response to a brother's question about our bodies being the temple of the Holy Spirit I provided wherein the word of God that is said.


I never said smoking was a sin, nor did I say it will send you to hell. So why the great defensive attitude about hypocrisy when there is none? it, not your concern either, stop trying to create false narratives.

If people are gonna go cold-turkey with smoking, they should use Nicorette if they are gonna go on social media! :)

There a big difference between polluted air and the food we eat than cigarettes seariously now come on. Ok so the air might be polluted foods might be modified but its not thick smoke from cigarettes 20 times a day to all your body plus clogging up the sences.

Does smoking a cigarette make you feel sick or give you a headache? When you want one it might help if you imagine you had one and imagine how it makes you feel. That's a good deterrent.

Why would it be? We are not to judge anyone regarding what they eat, drink or smoke, or what days they "observe". It is not for us to judge, so why would you?

the confirmation is in the response. Those with addiction defend their addictions. If some say smoking is harmful as we have scientific proof, those who smoke will say the food is just as bad. One who justifies bad behavior by talking about other bad behavior.

Says who? I don't smoke. The chemicals and preservatives in "food" can give you cancer, just like cigarettes can. It's a fact. It's really not your concern what others do.

Everyone knows smoking will likely cause seriously health issues. If your loved-ones don't already know this, well... yea, you might want to inform them.

I used to enjoy a good smoke AFTER a visit to the buffet at Golden Corral. Actually, enjoyed a smoke too after church. Enjoyed the well-known buffet at Circus Circus on the strip in Las Vegas too. Enjoyed a smoke also while hitting a slot. Wheels started spinning and lights flashing. Don't smoke anymore. Never was really much of a gambler. Do enjoy eating though. While eating at the buffet I was showing off to my wife by biting into a Habanero pepper. Entire mouth and throat was on fire. Wife had a good laugh though. Well worth the cost of admission. It was a calculated risk.
