If you are serious about obtaining victory, you're going to have to get rid of any and all access that you may have to porn. Even if it means getting rid of your internet or cable connection, any dvd's or magazines that contain racy content, and (the hardest of all) doing your best to stay away from places where there are lots of girls who dress to get attention. Finding a trustworthy accountability partner might help as well.

Regardless, you can't kick this thing by yourself seeing as you are your own worst enemy in this situation. I would know. :) Only God can deliver you from it. I strongly recommend doing a deep study on biblical consecration and sanctification. Sanctification is the means in which God cleans us up. Consecration is preparation on our behalf, cutting the cord of anything that might tempt us to fall back into temptation.

1st Corinthians 10:13 "No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it."

2 Peter 1:3-4 "His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires."

Jesus Christ came to break off all bondage. Claim His victory over your life. Don't try to win in your own strength, pray and fast if necessary for God's deliverance. He is able. God bless!

This is a naive statement in my opinion.

You never beat it. it's lust.

You just have periods of abstinence. God and his power can help you with those tough times.

It's like any addiction that has a physical/biochemical component. Your brain is still wired for the addiction.

You do your best to modify your behaviour. Do productive things instead of it. If you find yourself idle, and tempted, you need to find another activity to do. Something that is positive.

That doesnt put much hope in Gods healing power does it?

just think about this! your past, present, and future sins has already been forgiven so don't feel bad after watching porn or doin stuff like that! just stop trying to accomplish something by your own effort and let god take over! trust me just focus on god's grace instead of the law and you'll feel better! :D

I beat porn with a lot of prayers . I used to pray to God every morning asking him for help in my struggle with pornography. A crucial point for me were the 10 minutes after I've watched it ...instead of beating up yourself about it , you should get on knees and pray for forgivness and strengh. Set up a goal to return stronger in faith afterwards

That's the worst advice I've ever seen and a terrible defeatist mentality that is opposed to the teaching of the Scriptures. That's what the Bible calls licentiousness.

I think the key to this advice is having someone to hold you accountable. And if it's internet based, get a site filter, K9 has a good one, but let someone else be in control of the password and account email. Or get one that is paid for that has no option of disabling.

Sorry, my knowledge is tempered by Experience and Reality.

God is not a magic Genie that magically cures everything just because you are a good little boy or girl.

St Peter, Jesus' Rock was crucified upside down. But I guess he just didn't have enough Faith in God to Magic him away from his troubles?

The reality is you will suffer in this life.

i think you misunderstood what i said my friend! everybody would just keep on sinning! nobody's perfect! aint none of us could perfectly follow god's law that's why jesus came in the first place! it is the knowledge of god's love and grace that would gonna make us stay away from sins not the knowledge of focusing on god's law! the law would condemn us while god's grace would set us free!

I dont believe in a magic genie either, I just believe in an all-powerful God. And many have been healed from it and testify to that, and I believe i can be too
