This verse here....it's not a question about salvation but one of leadership. He believed enough to become a disciple but he wasn't cut out for a leadership role. That's what Jesus was saying by that. It's one of those Anthropologie thingies. Understanding the terms "called" and "chosen" as a Jewish person would understand them. Easiest way to understand it is their military practices....many men were called to fight and be a part of the military (and they all usually went) but few were chosen to be Generals.
This verse here....it's not a question about salvation but one of leadership.
Are you sure though ? let’s examine it closer together

And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. For many are called, but few are chosen.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭22:12-14‬ ‭

I would humbly submit to you that it doesn’t have anything to do with leadership but much to about this place of weeping , gnashing of teeth , where thier worm dieth not and thier fire never quenched

it seems (just to me ) as if it ties into salvstion and Gods kingdom and if examined closer it ties to this other place

“The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭22:2

“And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭19:9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.”
‭‭John‬ ‭6:45‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.”
‭‭John‬ ‭12:49-50‬ ‭KJV‬‬

it seems like salvstion is always tied in somewhere

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The verses you quoted here is exactly correct as you have stated...just the one I isolated before is on a different subject altogether. I know that it's common to believe as you thought...and I once was with you in thinking the same thing. But as I looked closer...I discovered that it wasn't...it was discussing a different topic.
One that has been repeated elsewhere in scripture.
"God sets up leaders and deposes them."

It's one of those thingies I went along with for decades until I saw it differently. Jesus was very selective in those he chose to be the 12. It wasn't just because they were available or the "best of the lot". Each one was uniquely chosen to be a part of his leadership team. There were at any given time hundreds of disciples...but only 12 apostles. They were chosen to be special.

Deuteronomy 6: 15 (For the LORD thy God is a jealous God among you) lest the Anger of the LORD thy God be kindled against thee, and destroy thee from off the face of the earth.

Psalms 90: 7For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled.

2 Samuel 6: 7 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzzah; and God smote him there for his error; and there he died by the ark of God .

Leviticus 10: 1And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not.

2And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD.

Does God Love every persons that walks the earth?
Question:

Has this screen name you are using just been dusted off and now being used for a specific reason? You registered it in......what?........January of 2020, and only have 178 comments? And several of them have been just "lately." Several Threads started, with questions that are best described as "pfishing" IMO......

Just wondering.....

What are your other Screen Names?

Only God knows the heart in full of any individual, this is an impossible question to truly answer by any person, But God takes no pleasure in punishing the wicked,, so it could be said he punishes people because he loves them to
