I guess it all depends on how you define "nice". I have always figured that if a girl was truly "nice" she'd come over when I was watching football on tv all day and dress up as a cheerleader and bake me cookies. I would never complain about a girl being truly nice like this.

Actually it is probably my number one reason for dumping women.
I don't mean to seem harsh but, for me life is to be experienced unfiltered to its fullest range of potential possibilities. I want someone to be themselves, agreeable about the things that suit them as well as disagreeable concerning the things which do not. People must have opinions dreams and a taste that is uniquely them.
Being nice for the sake of itself lends itself to to not standing for what matter for the sake of politeness. Such a thing has a place and a time but, if I am going to share my life with someone, I can't do it with someone who may politely endure my company. I want to be told if I am wrong or if something is out of place.

She should realize our team can't win the super bowl every year and not be bitter because it was a good season just the same and her cheerleading efforts were truly appreciated.
I am quite sure no man will ever say that about me. I am too opinionated but I have said that about guys though. I don't like bad guys but I do like assertive dominant men. I don't want a push over. I guess that's what it is. We shouldn't even call it :too nice" cause it's the push overs that we want to avoid. We want someone with a voice, someone to tell us when we are wrong, someone to say no when our demands get a little outrageous.
Oh, yeah, you just ruined me for life. By randomly throwing in your mention of being a cheerleader I got the image of the cookies coming in on the platter.... and it was YOU. OUCH. There is a sight I just can't get out of my head. Don't think I'll even be watching football ever again.

It seems to me that the "NICE GUYS" tend to be needy or smothering....which leads me to believe that what Peter 321 (wise for an 18 year old!lol!) said about them being insecure is very true! And I'm so nice that I hate to tell them!!!!
