Ok, Rev. 3: 12 is about our authority with Christ -

Ruling over 3 Realms. (Name of God, Name of the City of God, the New Jerusalem and Christ`s New Name. Rev.3: 12)

`He who overcomes, .....

I will write on him the name of my God,

and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem,

which comes down out of heaven from my God.

And I will write on him my new name.`

(Rev. 3: 12)

A `Name` is used to give the character and function of a place or person.

The New Name of Christ. This is His New position as King Priest over the New order of King Priests in the third heaven.

The Name of the city of God, the New Jerusalem that comes down out of the third heaven to the Universal area over the earth.

The Name of God is His authority over all His vast kingdom. This includes the new earth peopled by Israel and the nations.

The overcomers are given authority in Christ in all these realms.

I was pointing to if we're conformed to our Lord's image in this life, we'll be conformed to his image in the next.
I don't know if the 144k is symbolic. You might be right about that.
Careful with your wording. We are transformed not conformed. Very different meaning.

What is the purpose of the `bride?` It is a symbol of God`s purpose for ISRAEL, as God`s word has said.

Jesus does not marry any one. He connects with Israel again and that is likened to a `marriage,` of Him with `the wife.` Israel is the `wife,` and God is the `husband.` The meaning of `husband` in Hebrew is master, and that is the relationship God has to Israel.

Whereas the Lord`s relationship with His believers is much closer - Head and Body. Nothing closer than that.
Let us not forget the story of abraham.
Abraham being a type of the father sending his servant (Holy Spirit) out to find a wife for his son.

This is an amazing statement (and sounds like the Gospel to me). Do you have a passage to indicate this? I'd like to incorporate it into my personal "commentary."

This is quite an eye opener! Cool! So if, simply stated, the Bride is those who who have listened to God’s Word, have stayed faithful, have not been deceived by the antichrist, and have endured to the very end AND if the Wife is God’s election who were chosen before the foundation of the world, how does your analogy parallel with all this? Thanks for the insight, pottersclay.

I think you "get it."

Wow. We are finally helping each other understand instead of biting each other's backs. THIS is what I've been waiting for!

For those God foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brothers.

If we will humble ourselves, and submit to God - the devil(division) will flee from us.

Last time i checked - the Word came from God and not from man - if we can bow before the word of Truth - All tings are possible.

Yes, we've got to understand Abraham . . . he is at the Heart of our Faith. However, I don't understand the 10 camels/commandments. I love this kind of thinking, so if you can give me a verse to help me out, I'd really, really appreciate it! :D

Interesting. "To be" conformed sounds much as the same as Transformed. I see what Pottersclay is saying, though. They are different meanings, but "to be" conformed sounds like it is the Work of God rather than a personal choice to adapt to certain ways (to conform vs to be conformed.)

Respect to you all . . .

Brother, this is 1000% TRUE and found in Genesis

No one comes to Christ except the Father draws/calls them - Abraham sent his servant to find the Bride of Isaac(Bride of Christ).

Now SEE this - once Rebekah accepted the Servant(Holy Spirit) to be betrothed to Isaac, he gave to her the Bride Gifts = Gifts of the holy Spirit.

The Gifts of the Holy Spirit through the Baptism of the Holy Spirit was establish with the Gospel and the knowledge that Elohim is THREE - Father Son Holy Spirit = ALL in GENESIS = fro the Beginning.

I wouldn't be surprised at all. This is one tremendous way that God shows His remarkable Power. Stunning . . . how the Lord works!

Beautiful! I'm so thankful that I'm not the smartest person in the room!

I don't want to "be" right. I want to "get it" right.

I wish I could sit down with you guys and go through this more thoroughly. Honestly, it is difficult to discuss these things through simple messages back and forth.

Correct - but a slight difference - we are conformed to His Image through our obedience
"And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled."

Our faith and action brings us to "conformed in His Image" Transformation is completely beyond us such as when HE Returns and we are TRANSFORMED.

So conforming means we accept by faith God's will for our lives and walk in obedience - we must act upon the Word spoken to us.
The Transforming is completely the working of God.
BOTH are the Work of the Holy Spirit.

This has nothing to do with being smart - it is about JOY in the Holy Spirit (i call Him HS7 for short if you ever see it pop up).

Like little children invited to a Birthday party where it is everyone's New Birth Day

I see. Would you say that the below is a Transformation?

Ezekiel 36:25-27 RSV - "I will sprinkle clean water upon you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols I will cleanse you. "A new heart I will give you, and a new spirit I will put within you; and I will take out of your flesh the heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. "And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to observe my ordinances."

The above seems like a Transformation (to me), and it seems to be fulfilled by Christ as described below:

Colossians 2:10-13 NLT - "So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority. When you came to Christ, you were "circumcised," but not by a physical procedure. Christ performed a spiritual circumcision--the cutting away of your sinful nature. For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead. You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins."

It is Colossians 2:9-15 that outlines the Transformation as discussed in Romans 12:2. Would you agree?

Romans 12:2 NIV - "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will."

The renewing of the mind is essentially the "New Man" that comes by way of being given a New Heart.

Does this seem accurate? I ask this of us all.

Ah but this is the difference brother. To conform means that a person has to do such and such in order to be accepted...like now you have to cut your hair...put on cleaner clothing. Don't do this don't do that.

Paul says transform by the renewing of our minds.
Jesus says for every believer he starts a good work in us. As we seek God through his word the Holy Spirit convicts not condemns.

Transformation not conformity is key.

Our prayers should be directed towards what God has purposed that seed to be not what we think it should be. Follow me?

This is the work of the Holy Spirit we are just called to catch the fish...jesus cleans them. 😊😊😊
