It was given to show our utter failure and absolute need for Christ.
Here is what I would say to that (while I agree with the basic premise of what is stated above).

Mat 1:21, And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Tit 2:11, For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
Tit 2:12, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
Tit 2:13, Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
Tit 2:14, Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
Tit 2:15, These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.

Yes indeed, if we are determined by the law to be sinners (Galatians 3:24, Romans 3:20, Psalms 19:7), it does indeed show us that we need Christ.

Christ is able to save us from our sins and to redeem us from all iniquity.

He gave us the Holy Spirit.

And through the Holy Spirit, if we walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit, the righteousness of the law will be fulfilled in us (Romans 8:4).

I would encourage my opponents as concerning doctrine to memorize that verse (Romans 8:4).

If they do, I think that they will integrate what it says into their thinking and will not have an argument with me any longer.

Did anyone ever stop to think, that, since in the last days God is going to send a powerful delusion to all those who "believed not the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness", and that is going to be the majority at that time in history;

That those who are not deluded will be in the minority and therefore may even be counted as mentally ill (delusional) by the rest; who in all reality are the ones who are actually deluded?

2Th 2:11, And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
2Th 2:12, That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Thus, it may very well be, that on the day of judgment, that those who were counted as outcasts and insane by society, will be counted as having been sane all along; and those who were counted as sane will be counted as not having been in their right minds.

Jesus turned everything on its head when He spoke the Beattitudes.

Those who truly believe in Christ,, and follow His teachings, are an upside-down people.

It will be found that we were in our right minds all along because we did what it would take in order to have everlasting life in a just society in heaven.

So, the purpose of the law is to get us to accept the fact that we are sinners...so that we can resign ourselves to a lifestyle of sinning and go on sinning for the rest of our lives.

"I'm a sinner; so I am going to sin."
See, You do not know how to listen. This is not the purpose of the law. This is your vein attempt to try to mock me and those like me who have learned the law and been trained by it because we do not buy into your lawyer legalistic jumbo jumbo

You know this is not what we believe, you know we have never said this. What you have just done, is show you are unable to have a conversation.

On the one hand that might be taken as a statement of fact; in the case that it were true it might even be taken simply as a statement of fact.

But on the other hand it might be taken by the Lord as a statement of rebellious willful rebellion.

"I am going to sin because I am a sinner; so what is all this talk of repenting? There is no such thing."

This is a statement contrary to what scripture teaches the Lord wants for us.

Act 17:30, And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
The law is the schoolmaster TO LEAD US TO CHRIST.

I guess you have not yet found Christ since you keep wanting to push the ministry of death.

I am aware of the fact that I study to shew myself approved unto God; a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

I have placed a lot of study into being able to come to understand the holy scriptures; and continue to study every day in order to understand them better (Psalms 1).

It is not confidence in myself that leads me to want people to have the same insights that the Lord has given to me; but it is confidence in the Holy Spirit who dwells within me.

I know that I know that I know that I have Him because I have fulfilled the condition given in Acts 2:38-39 for receiving Him absolutely.

I believe therefore that I have an unction from the holy one and that I know all things (1 John 2:20)...that is, that I am able to discern truth from error and that that means that when I share things, they will be edifying to the body of Christ and also that they will have evangelistic value.

Because I believe that I have something special to contribute, I bump up my posts for the sake of new people who may have just arrived to these boards.

Of course in any situation where someone is doing the work of the Lord, there will be people who misunderstand and who will have problems with what you are saying. Jesus said that those whoa are righteous will be persecuted; and so did Paul (Matthew 5:10-12, Luke 6:22-23, 2 Timothy 3:10-12).
Your in denial my friend.

people don;t tube their own horn, then try to excuse it.

Pride is a heavy burden I pray you will be released from it

I believe that I do have good things to contribute to the body of Christ and will continue to offer those things to the body here if given the opportunity.

It will not be well-received by some; others will receive it because they can see that the words being presented are of the Holy Spirit.

@Dino246, we have had our problems with each other and I think that what you say of me can also be applied to you. But since you are not utilizing these boards as a platform for teaching, but rather are here to disparage teachers who are trying to make salvational impact in people's lives, it is no skin off your back.

Again, I know that we have rubbed each other the wrong way; mainly because you apparently disagree with many of the insights that I have shared (which were given to me by the Holy Spirit).

It appears to be your goal to stop people from receiving the teaching that I have here to present.

That is to be expected from those who have a spirit contrary to the Holy Spirit whom I know that I know that I know, dwelleth within me.

You apparently think of yourself as a believer; but I would encourage you to go to 2 Corinthians 13:5 and do what it says.

Because your responses towards me tell me that your spirit is a spirit that is of the world.

Because the following verses are given to me as promises. Which I have obtained by faith (Hebrews 11:33, 2 Peter 1:3-4, 2 Corinthians 1:20, Romans 4:20-22).

Jhn 15:20, Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.

1Jo 4:4, Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
1Jo 4:5, They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
1Jo 4:6, We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

By these verses I have determined that you have the spirit of error.

'nuff said!
Yawn.

Hello Grace ambassador! I agree, the Law should not be exalted above Grace, that would be foolish.

But I do believe we should at least learn of the Law what Paul taught us so we can know what the Law really was and is.

Especially the role Christ played in the Law for us!
Precious Charlie24, appreciate the kind and Great Discussion. Where should we
properly begin learning, as God Commands "Do all things decently and in order" (1Co 14:40)?

Should you and I start a new thread, say maybe: "Biblical Examination of the law"?

Always humble and open to learn...

What I wrote is the logical conclusion of what you believe in.

The law is the schoolmaster TO LEAD US TO CHRIST.

I guess you have not yet found Christ since you keep wanting to push the ministry of death.
I do not advocate that anyone seek to be justified by the law. Salvation / justification / forgiveness comes solely through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.

Once a man is forgiven, he receives the Holy Spirit.

Did you memorize Romans 8:4 yet?

Because it plainly teaches us that if we have the Spirit and walk according to His dictates, promptings, and guidings, the righteousness of the law will be fulfilled in us.

How is that the ministry of death; since it is the ministry of the Holy Spirit?

Does the Holy Spirit minister death?

Your in denial my friend.

The fact that you see pride in me when there is none indicates to me that you have the same pride that you see in me.

You have three fingers pointing back at you; you are projecting your own pride onto me.

It is very common for people to see their own sins, magnified, in the lives of others.

If I have pride, I consider it to be a speck in my eye.

It was one of the first prayers that I ever prayed as a new believer that the Lord would produce in me these three virtues: wisdom, humility, and love. And I believe that He has answered this prayer.

For I rarely ever see pride in other people.

If I did, it would indicate that I myself had pride.

For I would be projecting my own pride onto them.

FYI, the moderator does request that we report heresy.
Since I have given biblical support for just about everything I have said, it should be clear that you cannot pin anything that I have said to be heretical; because everything that I preach is according to sound doctrine to the best of my ability as I rely on the Holy Spirit to give me the words to say.

Nope you have not struck a nerve

But you have made people sick over your pride and claiming to know all in the name of God

I personally could care less what you think. but as a child of God. I am warned to correct a brother in love

You keep displaying your inflated self-importance. Why?
I continued to post the same thing because you continued to "X" it...as though you wanted those words to fall to the ground.

I posted it again so that it would be evident that the blessing that I spoke of in that post, repeated, will not fall to the ground, even if you want it to.

nope. what you did was slander myself and people like me who do not believe a thing you wrote.

All because it is all you have. You can not counter us with the word and counter our arguments, so you must resort to personal attacks by slandering us.

You also can obtain the promise of 1 John 2:20 by faith (Hebrews 11:33, 2 Peter 1:3-4, 2 Corinthians 1:20, Romans 4:20-22).

If you were to obtain it by faith, I would not be accusing you of pride.

I would be rejoicing with you.

Mat 7:7, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
Mat 7:8, For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

I have given much scripture to substantiate my statements.

Some of you have expressed disagreement (with "x's") with posts that were nearly 100% scripture.

So, I believe that you have been disagreeing with the holy scriptures rather than me.

Just as the people in Samuel's day were not rejecting Samuel but God.

This post demonstrates your inflated view of yourself and your disparagement of others. You keep assuming that others are spiritually inferior to you. That’s unmitigated c**p. I have never before encountered someone who is simultaneously so wrong on so many levels and who also thinks they are right and everyone else is wrong.

I have concluded that you are delusional, deeply deceived, and dangerous. You need help.

Since it is very likely against the rules for me to say that I think that you are an unbeliever, I am not going to say that at this juncture.

I don't think that everyone else is wrong.

If anyone can substantiate their point of view with holy scripture, of course I will be more inclined to listen to them; and I rarely ever disagree with holy scripture; which is more than can be said about you.
