And some of that to be understood considering they were underground and in hiding for decades living in fear of getting sent to Siberia for their faith. None of the women in the group lived without the iron curtain. But it also demonstrates their self discipline and self control which is also what you are looking for. Many of the protestant teenagers already know who they are to marry one day. But there might be a few women in the group unspoken for.
But...it's going to require years to get trusted by the group as well...they don't take to newcomers easily. Decisiveness and trusting are not words I'd ever use to describe these people. As an American, I was watched, but they showed me every hospitality. I loved the place...the brown bread, the beer, the sausages, and the garden foods...all were incredibly good. The people were timid as well but we started getting along well at the end of my stay...they were beginning to lose their fear. That and they had heard my testimony.
Which is a way to let people know who you are. Which stories in scripture speak to you? Which people do you like the most in scripture and why?
Between that and a generous heart... what's for women not to like? The elderly community center probably could use a hand making some new chessboards. (Not as a criminal job but just because they need it) Or maybe you could make some chess pieces...
Maybe help them plant a garden.
Lots of ways to stand out by being generous and kind in your area. Not to mention that these things lead to having a richer and more full life.

Go out of your way to talk to girls in public places. Say something like:
May God Grant you a hot spouse, wisdom, long life, great health, true spirituality and prosperity.
If you do not want anyone invading your space, simply stop showing.
I hope to see you in heaven.
Ask her questions about herself: Family, Friends, What she likes --- movies, books, music. What she thinks about: What is in the News, Religion, Where She grew up, Sports, Hobbies, Pets, basically get her to talk about herself.
I am over 600 years old married and yet I get dozens of marriage purposes by much younger women. I am the faithful type. I thank her for the compliment. Often they give me big hugs.

No, what I was saying is that evangelical Christians often judge and treat Catholics in a negative way, sometimes even worse than unbelievers, and some of them go as far as calling us idolaters and pope worshippers (just take a look at one of the many anti-Catholic threads in the forum), while on the other hand anti-Protestant hate is very rare in Catholic circles, and most of the Catholics even have a respect for them and view them as brothers in Christ. Moreover, many Catholics (including myself) don't even like our pope (which is everything but Catholic).
Anyway, evangelicals are only a small minority of the Slovak population, and the Catholic Church is far more important there (the only post-communist country with an actually sizable Protestant population is Latvia along with the east of Hungary, while the rest are mostly Catholic, Orthodox or non-religious), and this coupled with their unwelcoming attitude towards Catholics gives me no reason to join one of their communities. In my opinion even the Orthodox treat us better than the Protestants. I'm not excluding them in any way though, but since they don't want to see us, I just do what they want.

The one I hate worse is Jack Chick. When I was in High School, I read his Big Daddy garbage. So, I wrote him a letter asking for copies of the original sources he used. I also sent him photo-copies of the ones I could find point out that he used them out of context. Those copies refuted what he was claiming. He called me one day after that swearing like a sailor, calling me all kinds of vile names.
He was years exposed by using liars who gave garbage testimonies like John Todd. So, I understand our fellow Christian Catholics problems with him. In one of his anti-Catholic Tracts he had Rome as an island.

This evangelical hate you keep talking about is not exactly true and often stems from misunderstanding of what Catholics believe and practice.
And to the outsider looking in...yeah I can see how they can say some of the things they are saying.

But if you are sincere...you will be just fine.

Interesting. If by "protestant" you mean that they didn't like the "pope", then it's probably true.
A few time ago Bergoglio (and I call him this way because he is not my pope) visited Slovakia, where a majority of the population is Catholic and weekly mass attendance is one of the highest in Europe (according to a statistic it was even higher than in Italy, where the Vatican is located). And it turned out barely anybody visited him, less than ever before, which most blamed on the restrictions for the unvaccinated but some of them also pointed out the growing scepticism towards the pope among the Catholic Slovaks. Furthermore, he also visited a gypsy ghetto in Košice and spoke in clear favour of the ethnicity, which likely left many Slovaks disappointed and frustrated with him. He also visited the country's Jewish community and again spoke in favour of them, not only condemning "antisemitism" but even talking about a supposed Christian complicity in the Holocaust, which has probably fueled discontent as well. I'm now sure this commie is not a Christian. It's not the first time he proves it, and it will not be the last. If you were a Catholic like myself, you would probably understand what does having a pope who denied the very divinity of Jesus feel like.
This is also true. Many Protestants call us "pope worshippers" despite the fact that not all of us like him and he himself is not an actual Catholic. But I have rarely seen hostility towards Protestants by Catholics. Most Catholics do in fact accept and include them as brothers in Christ and are not hesitant to have Protestant friends. It's almost always the Protestants that resent us and see us as members of another religion. I wanted to know why is hate from Protestant to Catholic so common but residual the other way around.
I sure don't know how is this related to what I was talking about but alright. I heard long ago that Dutch men and Latvian women were the tallest in the world while Indonesian men and Guatemalan women were the shortest. Anyways I'm tall and never considered dating a woman from Latvia.
I'm Czech myself so most wouldn't even consider me a foreigner. Our languages are a bit different but the vast majority of Slovaks (if not all) could easily understand me since exposure to the Czech language is widespread in Slovakia even today. It's actually us the Czechs who have more difficulties in understanding them, because we aren't as exposed to them (unless if we do live near the border). I also guess that Moravians are better at understanding Slovak than Bohemians. But anyway, we generally understand each other.

I have very fond memories of King Wenceslas....he is the "founder" of what is known as Boxing Day or here in America the reason we exchange gifts for Christmas.
But I'm probably one of the few people who know this. LoL...
But asking for help in understanding the evangelical's point of view or understanding of the scriptures is a great lead in for a relationship with an evangelical girl....just saying.

Yes, because they confiscated and seized our churches and appointed agents of the state as priests. And the ones who said a single negative word about the state, disappeared the next day, because of obviously a state secret.

Actually, the fact that this is a Protestant site is usually mentioned numerous times when a Catholic comes here for the reason of promoting their beliefs, for doing so will inevitably get them in trouble if they persist. If you are here for Christian fellowship, you are certainly welcome As to there being no official statement, you can see what the owner believes now, and many here are of that same view.
