The Hoy Ghost is described as living water that satisfies the soul.

When we are satisfied by the living water, we will not be drawn or tempted by the toilet waters that the world offers us to drink.

As long as we are being sustained by the toilet waters of this world, we will thirst again.

But when we partake of the living water (the Holy Ghost) we will never again thirst for the toilet water that this world has to offer.

John 4:13-14, John 6:35, John 7:37-39.
“When we are satisfied by the living water, we will not be drawn or tempted by the toilet waters that the world offers us to drink.”

“Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭4:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.”
‭‭James‬ ‭1:2-4‬ ‭

“For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4:15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Receiving the Holy Spirit doesn’t mean we’ll never be tempted or that well
Never fall or feel the pull of the flesh again bro , it means he’ll never leave us , he’ll always be there to see us through and help us overcome the flesh . The gospel is about learning over time how to overcome temptation when it surely comes to all.

On the contrary if one is filled with the Holy Ghost thier life is going to reflect the sermon on the mounts values and spirit , and the rest of his teachings .

Be gracious , don’t hold grudges but be forgiving always , be helpful , don’t let lust dwell in your mind , don’t be greedy but be generous to the poor , don’t judge others condemn others or deem them in acceptable in your mind and heart.
be like the Good Samaritan if you see someone in need go out of your way to help them don’t be like the levites and pass by and look the other way. Just do what’s right , don’t go around no TV ring or harming people , don’t gossip about people , don’t partake of rumors and idleness.

feed the hungry , clothe the naked , befriend the lonely , honor the elderly and weak ect ect

the Holy Ghost of someone was in perfect tune with it would be living every aspect of the gospel to perfection and wouldn’t be battling with sin left behind in Jesus tomb

as for sin we have confession and repentance humility

“Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.

And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭18:10-14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

we are going to be judged by Jesus words about eternal life not moses words about sin.

don’t take revenge when insulted or wronged , turn the other cheek , do good to your enemy bless those who curse you , forgive the undeserving accept the weak in faith , go the extra mile when someone needs you be willing to put yourself in the back burner when you need to

the things Jesus taught are what we are to follow after I’ve never met someone actually living that perfectly I take it as a high calling and always just beyond our reach goal to Keep us actually being fruitful in our own life and always growing and producing a bit better life that actually does this which is where one would be perfect

“Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭3:16-19‬ ‭KJV‬

it’s just about being decent people in the end and not trouble makers Christians should be focused on what to do , not be looking at what we aren’t allowed to do that’s behind us

Never fall or feel the pull of the flesh again bro ,
Jhn 4:13, Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
Jhn 4:14, But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

If we have the Holy Ghost, we will not be thirsty for the water of this world that we used to drink; provided that we have not partaken of it recently. For if we have, we will thirst for it again. But those who consistently drink of the living water will never thirst again for the old things which caused us only to become more thirsty. We will be satisfied with the living water.

The term "sinless perfection" has been used to describe entire sanctification in order to produce a straw man that is easily toppled by 1 John 1:8.

While the doctrine itself, does not purport that sin is eradicated from us, so that we might be without sin; but rather that sin, which indwells us as believers, can be rendered dead (Romans 6:6, Galatians 5:24, Romans 7:8) so that it no longer has any say over our behaviour.

Thus the following verses,

1Jo 1:8, If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

1Jo 3:5, And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
1Jo 3:6, Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
1Jo 3:7, Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
1Jo 3:8, He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
1Jo 3:9, Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

are not in contradiction to each other as they are taken literally; for they are also found within the immediate context of each other.

Here are a few other verses that show that entire sanctification is a viable doctrine in holy scripture.

1Th 5:23, And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1Th 5:24, Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.

Heb 10:14, For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

1Jo 3:9, Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
.
.
.
1Jo 3:7, Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.

1Jo 3:3, And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

1Jo 2:6, He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
.

.
.
1Jo 3:6, Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

1Jo 2:17, And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
.
.
.
Jde 1:24, Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

2Pe 1:10, Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

1Jo 2:10, He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.

These verses declare that the believer can indeed walk in consistent victory over sin in absolute freedom for an extended period of time.

Thus the heresy of "the inevitability of sin" is here refuted; and for those who desire it, the teaching that we can indeed be sanctified wholly will bring us to victory.

And, this is also good news to all those who have come to the same place in their hearts and minds that Paul spoke of in Romans 7:24.

Rom 7:24, O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

For in Romans 7:14-21, Paul is using the literary tactic of IDENTIFICATION; identifying himself as carnal in order to define carnality for his readers. He here becomes as weak in order to gain the weak (1 Corinthians 9:22).

In all reality the context bears out that in Romans 7:14-25 Paul is identifying the law of sin and death; and in Romans 8:2 he declares his victory over the law of sin and death.

If Paul were actually carnal when he wrote Romans 7:14-25, then he would not have been penning actual holy scripture. For it is written,

2Pe 1:20, Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
2Pe 1:21, For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Therefore in order for Paul to have been penning holy scripture, he had to be holy at the time.

I conclude that he was indeed using a literary tactic; in which he became as weak in order to win those who are weak (1 Corinthians 9:22).

His point?

That if anyone is truly born again and yet living a Romans 7:14-25 lifestyle, they will be discontented with such a lifestyle of sinning.

Therefore the doctrine of entire sanctification would indeed be good news to them.

Finally, the scriptures that I have given are divine promises; and in Romans 4:20-22 we find that righteousness is imputed to the one who believes in such divine promises that they will be accomplished in his or her life.

Rom 4:20, He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
Rom 4:21, And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
Rom 4:22, And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.
Rom 4:23, Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;
Rom 4:24, But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;
I do not believe in sinless perfection, but I do have the desire to be sanctified through and through. 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24

IF entire sanctification means absolute sinlessness, I reject it. If it means loving God with all that is in me, then it is a worthy thing to pursue. Though I have not yet attained an undivided heart, I am praying and pursuing it.

Amen brother.

Entire sanctification has to do with the element of sin being rendered dead within us (Romans 6:6, Galatians 5:24, Romans 7:8) so that it no longer has any say over our behaviour (Romans 6:14).

We are not obligated to obey the flesh (Romans 8:12)...

So we can walk in victory and freedom; consistently walking not after the flesh but after the Spirit (Romans 8:1,4 (kjv)) for an extended period of time.

I don't know if I said this (because I have not looked at this thread for a while and felt led to post it); but I wanted to post the following scripture.

Rom 8:12 (kjv), Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.

Rom 8:12 (NLT), Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, you have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do.

We don't have to obey the flesh; therefore we can walk in consistent victory and freedom concerning besetting sins for an extended period of time; even for the rest of our lives (Luke 1:74-75; 1 John 3:6, 1 John 2:17).

Do you believe in once sanctified, always sanctified?

Do you believe in once entirely sanctified, always entirely sanctified?

Sanctified has to do with being set apart for holy use. Abstaining or being separated from sin is a related concept, but not the definition of sanctification.

In the Old Testament, on one occasion, Israelites were to be sanctified and part of the process was abstaining from sexual relations for a period of time before the encounter with God. Normally, sexual relations in marriage are not __sinful__, but abstaining on that occasion was part of sanctification.

I believe that a person can go in and out of entire sanctification;

But that there also can come a point where you cross over into entire sanctification in a more permanent sense.

Hebrews 10:14 (kjv),

1 John 3:6, 1 John 2:17.

"For by one offering He hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified" (Hebrews 10:14 (kjv)).

This has definitely to do with a separation from sin.

A related verse is Hebrews 12:14 (kjv).

"Without holiness no one will see the Lord."

People want to water down the scriptures by saying that "holy" does not really mean "holy"

However, "holy" does indeed have to do with a separation from sin; living a holy life means to live a life that is set free from the power of sin.

We can walk in righteousness and holiness, even consistently for the rest of our lives (Luke 1:74-75; 1 John 3:6, 1 John 2:17).
