Is Hebrews 5:9 speaking of Jesus or Melchizedec?
I think that there is some confusion in that passage as to the answer; so that we cannot really determine which one it really is.
Jesus is Hight Priest according to the order of Melchizedec; and some say that Melchizedec was actually a Christophany in the Old Testament.

melchezidek is connected to the lromkse made to Abraham 430 years before the law was added through Moses and the leviticle sinful priests of the law of Moses took presidence there was something before the law was added that’s what the gospel is the doctrine that goes with what was before the law

That is exactly what he is saying. Which also means that in general Christians must always speak of "the Lord Jesus Christ" not merely "Jesus" (who is a revered prophet in Islam, but nothing more). It is significant that after His resurrection, the apostles spoke more about the Lord Jesus Christ than not.
