Yep, thanks for the info, it was helpful as i am not part of any denominational viewpoint.

Now, back to the Scripture.

That was 2,000 years ago so it is 1,000 years outdated by Scripture and therefore in error.

i understand the literal 1,000 year period of Revelation as it was always part of God's Plan.

i also understand where in revelation the number 1,000 is used in symbolic form which confirms the literal 1,000 years in chapter 20.

Everyone wants the martyrs and priests to rule in the Millennium Reign, but JESUS said we rule by helping/loving the poor and forgiving/loving our enemies. The Millennium Reign is now.

Well you have to read and believe to SEE

Election is for Salvation = John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God

Election is for Salvation = John 6:44
No one is able to come to Me unless the Father, the one having sent Me, draws him, and I will raise him up in the last day.

Election is for Salvation = Galatians 3:6-9 So also, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” Understand, then, that those who have faith are sons of Abraham. The Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and foretold the gospel to Abraham: “All nations will be blessed through you.” So those who have faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.

Election is for Salvation = Ephesians 1:3-6 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms. For He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless in His presence. In love He predestined us for adoption as His sons through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the Beloved One.

Election is for Salvation = 1 Peter 1:2
elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ:

Election is for Salvation = Romans ch9-ch11
And not only this, but when Rebecca also had conceived by one man, even by our father Isaac (for the children not yet being born, nor having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works but of Him who calls), it was said to her, “The older shall serve the younger.” As it is written, “Jacob I have loved, but Esau I have hated.”

Election is for Salvation = Galatians 4:28 Now you, brothers, like Isaac, are children of Promise.

Quote: JESUS is already Reigning, you have the nerve to say He isn't a King until the end? for real?

Of course Jesus is already reigning, but is it necessary to bite and devour one another?

Everyone of us are totally 100 percent different in the way we have come to believe in whatever it is that we have come to believe in. But one thing is for sure, we all have come to faith in the LORD Jesus Christ.

But is it important for us to crucify one another over eschatology? Who cares. And why should we care over such teachings?

I dare not speak of what I believe, being a newbie right off the bat.

But I will say this, since I’ve took a different route, actually I am going up stream and against the current of Main Street Christian belief on this subject, I have found a renewed faith and what I used to fight people over has fallen by the way side. In astonishment, I proclaimed to my horror, “how in the world was I deceived?”

Instead of seeing world events and anti christs on every corner, I am seeing Christ in every word of the bible and now I know what Jesus meant when he quoted the law stating, “I want mercy, not sacrifice”.

In this case, we are sacrificing our teaching on the altar of arguing and strife and have forgotten our own salvation, Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

So not being able to call JESUS, LORD (King), today, doesn't seem like an issue you might want to address?

Hi A Work in Progress,

Welcome! :):coffee:

The first week I started using chat (signed up last year but never ended up using) I asked for my account to be deleted because of the rudeness--thankfully they didn't as there, I've discovered a few mature Christians here, who simply present the facts minus the ad hominem attacks. What's funny is people can often be so convinced they are right, that their pride takes over and they will fight to the death to defend their position; often when they are wrong. However, I actually have begun to enjoy putting together an argument to support my position by gathering verses (as to opposed to a doctrine supported by only say one or two verses) and then tying it together with a summary. Also, people add new things to the discussion--say verses, a new perspective, or a new discovery which also makes it enjoyable.

All this to say I agree with you--"Now Moses was the most humble man on earth." Just before Jesus died he washed the disciples feet and then said to them, "Go and do likewise"...and he added a new command "Love one another."

I'm glad you posted this as we all need to be reminded of how we Christians ought to treat each other. We should stand on truth, but most importantly we are here to glorify Him.

PS Yes! It is so important to understand that Christ is reigning now--at the right hand of the Father and in the heart of believer--Satan's time of destruction is still to come, but Christ has defeated Satan's power over sin and death at the cross!

Blessings,

Laura

i am not a Calvinist and do not even care to know about 'Calvinism' as it is just another 'ism'.

i - inconsistent
s - scriptural
m- meandering

Salavation is by Election/Grace not by service/works which is forbidden and penalty is death.

God has addressed this many times in His Word: Genesis 2:1-3 , 3:21 , John 1:11-13 , 6:35-40 , 17:9-12 , Eph 1:1-14 , Eph 2:8-10
Phil 1:1-6 , Psalm 106:23 , 1 Cor 1:1 , James 2:5 , Matt 22:14 , 1 Peter 2: 1-10 and more

is satan bound from accusing us? is he sealed from Heaven to accuse us night and day?
my belief is he is free to accuse you and I to our selves and even what he often does he might accuse and condemn me , to your mind

but I do believe he has no place speaking to God about us anymore the accuser is cast out of heaven but he is active on earth

I’d say it’s why there are so very many judgemental Christians who take on the role of accuser and pointer outer of others flaws . Satans nature has always been to accuse man for sin after tempting man to sin

then he used to go to God and say“ they broke your word , your word says they must die , it’s your word “

think back remember as soon as God earned them abo it the fruit Satan attacked the integrity and truth of Gods word to them “ you will surely die don’t eat the fruit “ v “ no you will not die it’s good for you “

sin is how Satan the only way he had to accuse mankind once man breaks Gods word Satan had an accusation that was credible against us

But now , we have a propitiation that says “ thier sins were put upon Christ Jesus who bore them for us “

it eliminates satans angle to accuse us before God when we accept the atoning sacrifice Satan could say “they broke your word “ now , and the answer is always “ thier sins have been atoned for sufficiently by Christ “

so it sort of cut off Satan at his knees who is there left to condemn those who trust in Christ ? No one in all creation but ourselves we can condemn ourselves and others if we listen to the accuser

Rev 5:10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

Don't read over "unto our God". That is key to understanding what is being said and what is not being said.

This simply means God considers them kings and priests but the reign is Earthly which means they do not literally become kings or priests until they return to the Earth. That is when they are given rule and authority over the nations who are also upon the Earth. None of that happens until the second coming.

No Christian right now has a kingdom or literal dominion over any single unsaved gentile nor do they have priestly authority over them. Those gentiles are killing supposed kings and priests everyday proving Christians do not have that rod of iron authority yet.

Rev 1:5 and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood
Rev 1:6 and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

It says to God, not to the gentiles. That proves no one is a king or priest, with a rod of iron type of authority, right now to the gentiles.

Rev 2:25 But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.

That's a second coming reference.

Rev 2:26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:

After "the end" will power be given to rule over the nations so this "end" is an end of one age, with a new age about to begin. After the end of this age the new age of the rule of the rod of iron for a thousand years will begin.

Rev 2:27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.

Only AFTER the return of Christ and AFTER "the end" will overcomers receive this power over the nations.
Only AFTER the return of Christ and AFTER "the end" will overcomers rule with a rod of iron over the nations.

This reign which happens after the second coming will last 1000 years:

Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Rev 5:10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

This is in the future tense meaning despite being kings and priests to God the Father, any rule over the nations is in the future and will be upon the Earth.

How are you not seeing that physical rule is the opposite of what JESUS offers?

A physical rule after being resurrected is what Jesus promised. I have proven it and not a word was posted that addressed anything in my post. All you did is side-stepped the content of the post with inane and unrelated questions. That is avoidance.

We inherit The Kingdom for Infinity on the New Earth, not a thousand years. We become Citizens now.

Sounds like The Kingdom of The Body of CHRIST:
Ephesians 2:19-22
Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

2 Corinthians 5:17,19,20
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

We inherit The Kingdom for Infinity on the New Earth, not a thousand years.
The thousand years is the rule with a rod of iron over the nations. It is not the length of a kingdom. The kingdom is eternal. Physically it is only in heaven at this time. It is here spiritually inside of believers now. It will be a physical reality after the second coming is completed.

The Millennium: An Earthly rule by Christ and his saints

Christ will exercise his Kingly authority on Earth when the 7th trump sounds:

Rev 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

The rod of iron reign only begins after Christ has come:

Rev 2:25 But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.
Rev 2:26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:
Rev 2:27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.

The saints reign will be on the Earth not from heaven:

Rev 5:9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
Rev 5:10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the EARTH.

second coming:

Rev 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

After the second coming:

Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

All these prove a literal kingdom with Christ and his saints physically here on the Earth literally ruling over human beings of various nations.
