O
When Jesus established a new covenant he said the following:
In the same way also the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.” ! Cor 11:25.
And likewise the cup after supper, saying, “This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood. Luke 22:20.
A covenant or will which are interchangeable in scripture foretells of a new covenant which happens at the death of someone, in this case it was Jesus. The new Covenant began at Pentecost.
O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified? 2 Let me ask you only this: Did you receive the Spirit by works of the law, or by hearing with faith? 3 Are you so foolish? Having begun with the Spirit, are you now ending with the flesh? 4 Did you experience so many things in vain?—if it really is in vain. 5 Does he who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you do so by works of the law, or by hearing with faith? Gal. 3:1-5.
When one looks at the cross he is washed with the water and blood which flowed from the Lord's body.
Did you know our calendar should have been started at the death of our Savior, not his birth. Just food for thought.
