The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion has been thoroughly debunked as a fraud by so many people, yet it still shows up in the hands of Jew-haters (antiSemites is too clinical, too weak a term here).

God's promises are forever, and this was a promise to Abraham and his descendants. You dishonor those descendants with that book, so take care. And note the last part, "in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” Not destroyed or enslaved, but blessed. And yes, it meant the messiah would come through his line. But it does not say that is all it means. For example:

Romans 3:1-2 ESV 3 Then what advantage has the Jew? Or what is the value of circumcision? 2 Much in every way. To begin with, the Jews were entrusted with the oracles of God.

Our Bible, God's own word comes to us through the children of Abraham. So do not be so quick to libel them.

Now, can SOME Jews be involved in conspiracies? Of course they can. But most of the things in that book were tried with some success by the Nazis while persecuting the Jews. And they have been tried with much more success by Russia, also while persecuting the Jews. And those are most definitely Gentile nations.

One thing about that document (or reported document) actually that's posted elsewhere on the site. I realize that this is a bunch of confused confusion, but I'd have to say that that very strongly reminds me of a really big fat book by a person who went by Isreal Regardie. I saw the book once and don't even remember what it was called. It contained a lot of really technical detailed "Egyptian Temple" rites. My point is non existant really, but I would point out that Isreal Regardie is well known not to have been that person's real name.

I am simply respecting the other person's choice. I am unaware of any Scripture that would support his position in contradiction to my position, and he has not provided any, so there's no point in continuing.

Agreed; people develop blinders and, I suspect, are functionally incapable of seeing what Scripture actually says. We are all susceptible to it. The blinders result from poor teaching, poor study habits, deception from outside, and from resistance to truth within.

We can keep our misunderstandings to a minimum if we read scripture intelligently. There are certain hard ad fast rules about scripture we must keep in mind.

It is all breathed by the same God who does not change, we need to know the characteristics of God and understand nothing is at odds with those characteristics.

God does not change, if we see a change we are wrong. The only change God made was in the way he presented his word, from giving it in stone for obedience by the letter of the law to giving it to us through our hearts to be obeyed in spirit and truth.

You can find more than one scripture that gives a principle of the Lord.

What do you think the "synagogue of Satan" is in Rev. 2 and 3? To me it's pretty clear these are professing Jews who reject Christ in favor of the unsaving Law.

What does it mean to claim to be Jews but not be so?

The Jews claimed Abraham to be their father (claiming they were Jews). Jesus told them their father is the devil (Satan), because they carried out their father's lusts, and hated Jesus.

The Jews placed great store on circumcision, because it was the first and defining act of being a Jew. One couldn't be a Jew without being circumcised. However, Paul says that the true Jews - the truly circumcised - are circumcised in the heart. Even those uncircumcised who are circumcised in the heart are more Jewish than those Jews with uncircumcised hearts (which are not true Jews at all).

25 For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision.

I'm not going to reply to the rest of your slanderous post. Not even going to reply in kind. But the last part there needs to be addressed. Whenever people quote the Protocols, they are engaging in antiSemitism. They can dress it up however they want, but those have been used for decades to stir up murderous hatred for the Jews. So is the narrow definition of Rev 2:9 to say it can only mean Jews attacking Christians. The term is not used to shut people down, as I expected it would stir them up. And it did, and I discussed it with them. So you are wrong.

The accusation that the synagogue was a synagogue, not of Judeans but of Satan is connected with an internal dispute on how one faithful to Israelite traditions should live with the Roman economic system. The author of Revelation was arguing that there should be no compromise with Rome, and those who did compromise were not fit to be called Judean. The Synagogue, on the other hand, argued that peaceful coexistence with Rome was possible. It is suggested that the synagogue accused members of the church in Smyrna of not being Judean because they refused to pay the special Judean tax that allowed them to practice their religion unmolested. For the author of Revelation, however, to pay the tax would be an act of apostasy, as the tax paid for the rebuilding of the Capitoline temple.
